1 ` Give ear, O heavens, and I speak; And thou dost hear, O earth, sayings of my mouth!

Слушай, небе, и ще говоря; И да чуе земята думите на устата ми.

2 D rop as rain doth My doctrine; Flow as dew doth My sayings; As storms on the tender grass, And as showers on the herb,

Учението ми ще капе като дъжд; Думата ми ще слезе като роса, Като тънък дъжд на зеленище, И като пороен дъжд на трева.

3 F or the Name of Jehovah I proclaim, Ascribe ye greatness to our God!

Понеже ще провъзглася името на Господа, Отдайте величие на нашия Бог.

4 T he Rock! -- perfect His work, For all His ways just; God of stedfastness, and without iniquity: Righteous and upright He.

Той е Канара; делата му са съвършени, Защото всичките Му пътища са прави, Бог на верността е, и няма неправда в Него; Справедлив и прав е Той.

5 I t hath done corruptly to Him; Their blemish is not His sons', A generation perverse and crooked!

Те се развратиха; Порокът им не подобава на Неговите чада; Те са поколение извратено и криво.

6 T o Jehovah do ye act thus, O people foolish and not wise? Is not He thy father -- thy possessor? He made thee, and doth establish thee.

Така ли въздавате Господу, Люде глупави и неразумни? Не е ли Той Отец ти, Който те е усвоил? - Той, Който те е създал и утвърдил.

7 R emember days of old -- Understand the years of many generations -- Ask thy father, and he doth tell thee; Thine elders, and they say to thee:

Спомни си предишните дни, Смисли годините на много поколения; Попитай баща си, и той ще ти извести, - Старците си, и те ще ти кажат.

8 I n the Most High causing nations to inherit, In His separating sons of Adam -- He setteth up the borders of the peoples By the number of the sons of Israel.

Когато Всевишният даваше наследство на народите, Когато разпръсна Адамовите потомци, Постави границите на племената Според числото на израилтяните.

9 F or Jehovah's portion His people, Jacob the line of His inheritance.

Защото дял на Господа са Неговите люде, Яков е <падащото> Му <Се> с жребие наследство.

10 H e findeth him in a land -- a desert, And in a void -- a howling wilderness, He turneth him round -- He causeth him to understand -- He keepeth him as the apple of His eye.

Намери го в пуста земя, Да! в пуста, дива и виеща; Огради го, настави го, Опази го като зеницата на окото Си.

11 A s an eagle waketh up its nest, Over its young ones fluttereth, Spreadeth its wings -- taketh them, Beareth them on its pinions; --

Както орел разбутва гнездото си. Трепери над пилетата си, Разпростира крилата си Та ги подема, и вдига ги на крилата си,

12 J ehovah alone doth lead him, And there is no strange god with him.

<Така> Господ сам го води, И нямаше с него чужд бог.

13 H e maketh him ride on high places of earth, And he eateth increase of the fields, And He maketh him suck honey from a rock, And oil out of the flint of a rock;

Издигна го на високите места на света, И той яде произведенията на нивите; И кърми го с мед от камък И с масло от скала кременлива.

14 B utter of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, and rams, sons of Bashan, And he-goats, with fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou dost drink wine!

С краве масло и с овче мляко, С тлъстина от агнета И от овни васански и от козли, С тлъстина от пшеница; И ти пи вино - кръв гроздова.

15 A nd Jeshurun waxeth fat, and doth kick: Thou hast been fat -- thou hast been thick, Thou hast been covered. And he leaveth God who made him, And dishonoureth the Rock of his salvation.

А Иесурун затлъстя и ритна; Затлъстял си, угоил си се, Надебелял си; Тогава забрави Бога, Който го създаде, И презря Канарата на спасението си.

16 T hey make Him zealous with strangers, With abominations they make Him angry.

С чужди <богове> Го раздразниха до ревнуване, С мерзости Го раздразниха до гняв.

17 T hey sacrifice to demons -- no god! Gods they have not known -- New ones -- from the vicinity they came; Not feared them have your fathers!

Пожертвуваха на бесове, <които> не <бяха Бог>, На богове, които не бяха знаели, На нови <богове> наскоро въведени От които бащите ви не се бояха;

18 T he Rock that begat thee thou forgettest, And neglectest God who formeth thee.

А ти не помисли за Канарата, Която те роди, И забрави Бога Създателя твой.

19 A nd Jehovah seeth and despiseth -- For the provocation of His sons and His daughters.

Видя Господ и огорчи се, Защото Го разгневиха синовете Му и дъщерите Му;

20 A nd He saith: I hide My face from them, I see what their latter end; For a froward generation they, Sons in whom is no stedfastness.

И рече: Ще скрия лицето Си от тях, Ще видя каква ще бъде сетнината им; Защото те са поколение развратено, Чада, в които няма вярност.

21 T hey have made Me zealous by `no-god,' They made Me angry by their vanities; And I make them zealous by `no-people,' By a foolish nation I make them angry.

Те Ме раздразниха до ревнуване с <онова, което> не е Бог, С кумирите си Ме разгневиха; За това и Аз ще ги раздразня до ревнуване с ония, които не са люде, С народ несмислен ще ги разгневя.

22 F or a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, And it burneth unto Sheol -- the lowest, And consumeth earth and its increase, And setteth on fire foundations of mountains.

Защото огън се накладе в гнева Ми, И ще пламне дори до най-дълбокия ад; Ще пояде земята с произведенията й, И ще изгори основите на планините.

23 I gather upon them evils, Mine arrows I consume upon them.

Ще натрупам на тях зло; Всичките Си стрели ще изхвърля върху тях.

24 E xhausted by famine, And consumed by heat, and bitter destruction. And the teeth of beasts I send upon them, With poison of fearful things of the dust.

Ще изтлеят от глад, Ще бъдат изпоядени от възпалителна болест И от лют мор; Зверски зъби ще изпратя върху тях, И отрова от пълзящите по земята.

25 W ithout bereave doth the sword, And at the inner-chambers -- fear, Both youth and virgin, Suckling with man of grey hair.

Извън нож а извътре ужас Ще погуби децата им, И младежа и девицата, Бозайниче и белокосия старец.

26 I have said: I blow them away, I cause their remembrance to cease from man;

Рекох: Разпръснал бих ги, Изличил бих спомена им изсред човеците,

27 I f not -- the anger of an enemy I fear, Lest their adversaries know -- Lest they say, Our hand is high, And Jehovah hath not wrought all this.

Ако не се боях от гнева на неприятеля. Да не би да високоумствуват противниците им И кажат: Мощната наша ръка Направи всичко това, а не Господ.

28 F or a nation lost to counsels they, And there is no understanding in them.

Защото те са народ неразбран, И няма в тях разум.

29 I f they were wise -- They deal wisely this; They attend to their latter end:

О да бяха мъдри, да разбират това, Да смисляха сетнината си!

30 H ow doth one pursue a thousand, And two cause a myriad to flee! If not -- that their rock hath sold them, And Jehovah hath shut them up?

Как би могъл един да прогони хиляда, И двама да обърнат в бяг десет хиляди, Ако Канарата им не би ги предала, И Господ не би ги предал!

31 F or not as our Rock their rock, (And our enemies judges!)

Защото тяхната канара не е като нашата Канара; И самите ни неприятели нека съдят <за това>.

32 F or of the vine of Sodom their vine, And of the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes grapes of gall -- They have bitter clusters;

Понеже тяхната лоза е от содомската лоза И от гоморските ниви; Гроздето им е грозде отровно, Гроздовете им са горчиви;

33 T he poison of dragons their wine And the fierce venom of asps.

Виното им е отрова змийска И мъчителна отрова аспидова.

34 I s it not laid up with Me? Sealed among My treasures?

Това не е ли скрито у Мене? Не е ли запечатано в съкровищата Ми?

35 M ine vengeance and recompense, At the due time -- doth their foot slide; For near is a day of their calamity, And haste do things prepared for them.

На Мене принадлежи възмездието и въздаянието; Ногата им с време ще се подплъзне; Защото близо е денят на погиването им, И приготвеното за тях наближава.

36 F or Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants doth repent Himself. For He seeth -- the going away of power, And none is restrained and left.

Защото Господ ще съди людете Си И ще пожали слугите Си, Когато види, че изчезна силата им, И че не остана никой, затворен или свободен {Т.е., малолетен или пълнолетен.}.

37 A nd He hath said, Where their gods -- The rock in which they trusted;

И ще рече: Где са боговете им, Канарата, на която уповаваха,

38 W hich the fat of their sacrifices do eat, They drink the wine of their libation! Let them arise and help you, Let it be for you a hiding-place!

Които ядяха тлъстината на жертвите им, Пиеха виното на възлиянията им? Те нека станат и ви помогнат Нека ви бъдат закрила.

39 S ee ye, now, that I -- I He, And there is no god with Me: I put to death, and I keep alive; I have smitten, and I heal; And there is not from My hand a deliverer,

Вижте сега, че Аз съм Аз, И освен Мене няма Бог; Аз убивам и Аз съживявам, Аз наранявам и Аз изцелявам; И няма кой да избавя от ръката Ми.

40 F or I lift up unto the heavens My hand, And have said, I live -- to the age!

Защото дигам ръката Си към небето И казвам: <Заклевам се> във вечния Си живот,

41 I f I have sharpened the brightness of My sword, And My hand doth lay hold on judgment, I turn back vengeance to Mine adversaries, And to those hating Me -- I repay!

Че, ако изостря лъскавия Си меч И туря ръката Си на съдба, Ще въздам на враговете Си, И ще сторя възмездие на ненавистниците Си.

42 I make drunk Mine arrows with blood, And My sword devoureth flesh, From the blood of the pierced and captive, From the head of the freemen of the enemy.

Ще упоя стрелите Си с кръв, И мечът Ми ще яде меса С кръвта на убитите и на пленените, На чело с вражеските първенци.

43 S ing ye nations -- his people, For the blood of His servants He avengeth, And vengeance He turneth back on His adversaries, And hath pardoned His land -- His people.'

Развеселете се, народи, с людете Му; Защото ще въздаде за кръвта на слугите Си, И ще стори възмездие на противниците Си, И ще направи умилостивение за земята Си, за людете Си.

44 A nd Moses cometh and speaketh all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea son of Nun;

И Моисей дойде, той и Исус Навиевият син, та изговори всичките думи на тая песен на всеослушание пред людете.

45 a nd Moses finisheth to speak all these words unto all Israel,

И като свърши Моисей да говори всички тия думи на целия Израил, рече им:

46 a nd saith unto them, `Set your heart to all the words which I am testifying against you to-day, that ye command your sons to observe to do all the words of this law,

Обърнете сърцата си към всички тия думи, които днес ви заявявам, за които да заръчате и на чадата си да внимават да вършат всичките думи на тоя закон.

47 f or it not a vain thing for you, for it your life, and by this thing ye prolong days on the ground whither ye are passing over the Jordan to possess it.'

Защото за вас това не е празно нещо; понеже то е животът ви, и с това ще се продължи животът ви на земята, към която минавате през Иордан, за да я завладеете.

48 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in this self-same day, saying,

В същия ден Господ говори на Моисея, казвайки:

49 ` Go up unto this mount Abarim, mount Nebo, which in the land of Moab, which on the front of Jericho, and see the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession;

Възкачи се на тая аваримска планина, планината Нево, която е в Моавската земя срещу Ерихон, и разгледай Ханаанската земя, която Аз давам на израилтяните за притежание;

50 a nd die in the mount whither thou art going up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother hath died in the mount Hor, and is gathered unto his people:

и умри на планината, на която се възкачваш, и прибери се при людете си, както брат ти Аарон умря на планината Ор и се прибра при людете си;

51 ` Because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribath-Kadesh, the wilderness of Zin -- because ye sanctified Me not in the midst of the sons of Israel;

защото не Ми се покорихте между израилтяните при водите на Мерива {То ест: Препиране.} Кадис в пустинята Цин, понеже не Ме осветихте всред израилтяните.

52 b ut over-against thou seest the land, and thither thou dost not go in, unto the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.'

За това, отсреща ще видиш земята; но в нея няма да влезеш, в земята, която давам на израилтяните.
