1 A nd Naaman, head of the host of the king of Aram, was a great man before his lord, and accepted of face, for by him had Jehovah given salvation to Aram, and the man was mighty in valour -- leprous.

А Нееман, военачалникът на сирийския цар, беше човек велик и почитан пред господаря си, понеже чрез него Господ бе дал избавление на Сирия; при това, беше човек силен и храбър, <но беше> прокажен.

2 A nd the Aramaeans have gone out troops, and they take captive out of the land of Israel a little damsel, and she is before the wife of Naaman,

И сирийците бяха излезли на чети, и бяха довели от Израилевата земя една малка мома пленница; и тя слугуваше на Неемановата жена.

3 a nd she saith unto her mistress, `O that my lord before the prophet who in Samaria; then he doth recover him from his leprosy.'

И рече на господарката си: Ако беше господарят ми при пророка, който е в Самария, и той би го изцелил от проказата му!

4 A nd goeth in and declareth to his lord, saying, `Thus and thus she hath spoken, the damsel who from the land of Israel.'

Тогава влезе <Нееман> та съобщи на господаря си, казвайки: Така и така рече момата, която е от Израилевата земя.

5 A nd the king of Aram saith, `Go thou, enter, and I send a letter unto the king of Israel;' and he goeth and taketh in his hand ten talents of silver, and six thousand of gold, and ten changes of garments.

И рече сирийският цар: Стани, иди, и ще пратя писмо до Израилевия цар. И тъй, той отиде, вземайки в ръката си десет таланта сребро, шест хиляди жълтици, и десет премени дрехи.

6 A nd he bringeth in the letter unto the king of Israel, saying, `And now, at the coming in of this letter unto thee, lo, I have sent unto thee Naaman my servant, and thou hast recovered him from his leprosy.'

И донесе писмото на Израилевия цар, <в което се> казваше: Като пристигне това писмо до тебе, ето, същевременно пратих до тебе слугата си Неемана, за да го изцериш от проказата му.

7 A nd it cometh to pass, at the king of Israel's reading the letter, that he rendeth his garments, and saith, `Am I God, to put to death and to keep alive, that this is sending unto me to recover a man from his leprosy? for surely know, I pray you, and see, for he is presenting himself to me.'

А Израилевият цар, като прочете писмото, раздра дрехите си и рече: Бог ли съм аз за да умъртвявам и да съживявам, та праща до мене да изцеря човека от проказата му? Моля, прочее, разсъдете и вижте как търси <повод за> скарване с мене.

8 A nd it cometh to pass, at Elisha the man of God's hearing that the king of Israel hath rent his garments, that he sendeth unto the king, saying, `Why hast thou rent thy garments? let him come, I pray thee, unto me, and he doth know that there is a prophet in Israel.'

А Божият човек Елисей, като чу, че Израилевият цар раздрал дрехите си, прати до царя да рекат: Защо си раздрал дрехите си? Нека дойде сега при мене, и ще познае, че има пророк в Израиля.

9 A nd Naaman cometh, with his horses and with his chariot, and standeth at the opening of the house for Elisha;

И така, Нееман дойде с конете си и с колесниците си та застана при вратата на Елисеевата къща.

10 a nd Elisha sendeth unto him a messenger, saying, `Go, and thou hast washed seven times in Jordan, and thy flesh doth turn back to thee -- and be thou clean.

И Елисей прати до него човек да каже: Иди, окъпи се седем пъти в Иордан; и ще се обновят месата ти, и ще се очистиш.

11 A nd Naaman is wroth, and goeth on, and saith, `Lo, I said, Unto me he doth certainly come out, and hath stood and called in the name of Jehovah his God, and waved his hand over the place, and recovered the leper.

А Нееман се разгневи, та си отиде, като казваше: Ето, аз мислех, че той непременно ще излезе при мене, ще застане, и ще призове името на Господа своя Бог, и ще помаха ръката си върху мястото, и <така> ще изцери прокажения.

12 A re not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? do I not wash in them and I have been clean?' and he turneth and goeth on in fury.

Реките на Дамаск, Авана и Фарфар, не струват ли повече от всичките води на Израиля? Не мога ли да се окъпя в тях и да се очистя? Затова, той се обърна и си отиде много разгневен.

13 A nd his servants come nigh, and speak unto him, and say, `My father, a great thing had the prophet spoken unto thee -- dost thou not do ? and surely, when he hath said unto thee, Wash, and be clean.'

А слугите му се приближиха та му говориха, казвайки: Татко мой, ако ти беше заръчал пророкът нещо голямо, не би ли го извършил? Колко повече, прочее, като ти казва! Окъпи се и очисти се!

14 A nd he goeth down and dippeth in Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh doth turn back as the flesh of a little youth, and is clean.

Тогава той слезе та се потопи седем пъти в Иордан, според думите на Божия човек; и месата му се обновиха, като месата на малко дете, и очисти се.

15 A nd he turneth back unto the man of God, he and all his camp, and cometh in, and standeth before him, and saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have known that there is not a God in all the earth except in Israel; and now, take, I pray thee, a blessing from thy servant.'

Тогава той се върна при Божия човек с цялата си дружина, и като дойде та застана пред него рече: Ето, сега узнах, че няма Бог в целия свят освен в Израиля; затова, моля, приеми сега подарък от слугата си.

16 A nd he saith, `Jehovah liveth, before whom I have stood -- if I take;' and he presseth on him to take, and he refuseth.

А той каза: <Заклевам се в> живота на Господа, Комуто слугувам, не ща да приема. А той го принуждаваше да приеме; но отказа.

17 A nd Naaman saith, `If not -- let be given, I pray thee, to thy servant, a couple of mules' burden of earth, for thy servant doth make no more burnt-offering and sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah.

Тогава Нееман рече: Ако не то нека се даде, моля, на слугата ти товар за две мъски от <тая> пръст; защото слугата ти не ще вече да принася ни всеизгаряне, нито жертва на други богове освен на Господа.

18 F or this thing Jehovah be propitious to thy servant, in the coming in of my lord into the house of Rimmon to bow himself there, and he was supported by my hand, and I bowed myself the house of Rimmon; for my bowing myself in the house of Rimmon Jehovah be propitious, I pray thee, to thy servant in this thing.'

Господ да прости това нещо на слугата ти, ако, когато влиза господарят ми в капището на Римона, за да се поклони там, и се подпира на ръката ми, се навеждам и аз в капището на Римона; като се навеждам в капището на Римона, Господ да прости това нещо на слугата ти!

19 A nd he saith to him, `Go in peace.' And he goeth from him a kibrath of land,

И рече му: Иди с мир. И така, той отиде от него известно разстояние.

20 A nd Gehazi, servant of Elisha the man of God, saith, `Lo, my lord hath spared Naaman this Aramaean, not to receive from his hand that which he brought; Jehovah liveth; surely if I have run after him, then I have taken from him something.'

Но Гиезий, слугата на Божия човек Елисей, си рече: Ето, господарят ми се посвени, та не взе от ръката на тоя сириец Нееман това, което донесе; но <в името на> живия Господ, аз ще се завтека подир него и ще взема нещо от него.

21 A nd Gehazi pursueth after Naaman, and Naaman seeth one running after him, and alighteth from off the chariot to meet him, and saith, `Is there peace?'

И тъй, Гиезий се завтече подир Неемана. А Нееман, когато видя, че тича подир него, скочи от колесницата да го посрещне и рече: Добре ли е <с всички ви?>

22 A nd he saith, `Peace; my lord hath sent me, saying, Lo, now, this, come unto me have two young men from the hill-country of Ephraim, of the sons of the prophets; give, I pray thee, to them, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.'

Той рече: Добре. Господарят ми ме прати да река: Ето тъкмо сега дойдоха у мене от хълмистата земя на Ефрема двама младежи от пророческите ученици; дай им, моля, един талант сребро и премени дрехи.

23 A nd Naaman saith, `Be pleased, take two talents;' and he urgeth on him, and bindeth two talents of silver in two purses, and two changes of garments, and giveth unto two of his young men, and they bear before him;

И рече Нееман: Благоволи да вземеш два таланта. И като го принуди, върза двата таланта сребро в два мешеца заедно с две премени дрехи, и натовари ги на двама от слугите си, които ги носеха пред него.

24 a nd he cometh in unto the high place, and taketh out of their hand, and layeth up in the house, and sendeth away the men, and they go.

И когато стигна до хълма, взе ги от ръцете им та ги скри в къщата; и отпусна човеците, та си отидоха.

25 A nd he hath come in, and doth stand by his lord, and Elisha saith unto him, `Whence -- Gehazi?' and he saith, `Thy servant went not hither or thither.'

Тогава влезе та застана пред господаря си. И <Елисей> му рече: От где идеш, Гиезие? А той рече: Слугата ти не е ходил никъде.

26 A nd he saith unto him, `My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet thee; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants?

И <Елисей> му каза: Не отиде ли сърцето ми <с тебе>, когато се върна човекът от колесницата си за да те посрещне? Време ли е да приемеш пари и да приемеш дрехи, маслини и лозя, овци и говеда, слуги и слугини?

27 y ea, the leprosy of Naaman doth cleave to thee, and to thy seed, -- to the age;' and he goeth out from before him -- leprous as snow.

Затова, Неемановата проказа ще се залепи за тебе и за рода ти до века. И той излезе от присъствието му прокажен, <бял> като сняг.
