1 A nd they sit still three years, there is no war between Aram and Israel,

И минаха се три години без война между Сирия и Израиля.

2 a nd it cometh to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat king of Judah cometh down unto the king of Israel,

А в третата година, когато Юдовият цар Иосафат слезе при Израилевия цар,

3 a nd the king of Israel saith unto his servants, `Have ye not known that ours Ramoth-Gilead? and we are keeping silent from taking it out of the hand of the king of Aram!'

рече Израилевият цар на слугите си: Знаете ли, че Рамот-галаад е наш; а ние немарим {Еврейски: Мълчим.} да си го вземем от ръката на сирийския цар?

4 A nd he saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Dost thou go with me to battle Ramoth-Gilead?' and Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `As I am, so thou; as my people, so thy people; as my horses, so thy horses.'

Рече и на Иосафата: Дохождаш ли с мене на бой в Рамот-галаад? И Иосафат каза на Израилевия цар: Аз съм както си ти, моите люде както твоите люде, моите коне както твоите коне.

5 A nd Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, to-day, the word of Jehovah;'

Иосафат каза още на Израилевия цар: Моля, допитайте се сега до Господното слово.

6 a nd the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, about four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do I go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' and they say, `Go up, and the Lord doth give into the hand of the king.'

Тогава Израилевият цар събра пророците <си>, около четиристотин мъже, та им каза: Да ида ли на бой против Рамот-галаад, или да не ида? А те казаха: Възлез и Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

7 A nd Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, and we seek by him?'

Обаче Иосафат каза: Няма ли тук, освен <тия>, някой Господен пророк, за да се допитаме чрез него?

8 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Yet -- one man to seek Jehovah by him, and I have hated him, for he doth not prophesy concerning me good, but evil -- Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.'

И Израилевият цар рече на Иосафата: Има още един човек, Михей, син на Емла, чрез когото можем да се допитаме до Господа; но аз го мразя, защото не пророкува добро за мене, но зло. А Иосафат каза: Нека не говори така царят.

9 A nd the king of Israel calleth unto a certain eunuch, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'

Тогава Израилевият цар повика един скопец и рече: Доведи скоро Михея син на Емла.

10 A nd the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, in a threshing-floor, at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.

А Израилевият цар и Юдовият цар Иосафат седяха, всеки на престола си, облечени в одеждите си, на открито място при входа на самарийската порта; и всичките пророци пророкуваха пред тях.

11 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah, By these thou dost push the Aramaeans till they are consumed;'

А Седекия, Ханаановият син, си направи железни рогове, и рече: Така казва Господ: С тия ще буташ сирийците догде ги довършиш.

12 a nd all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

Също и всичките пророци така пророкуваха, казвайки: Иди в Рамот-галаад, и ще имаш добър успех; защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

13 A nd the messenger who hath gone to call Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, I pray thee, the words of the prophets, with one mouth, good towards the king; let it be, I pray thee, thy word as the word of one of them -- and thou hast spoken good.'

А пратеникът, който отиде да повика Михея, му говори казвайки: Ето сега, думите на пророците, като из едни уста са добри за царя; моля, и твоята дума да бъде като думата на един от тях, и ти говори доброто.

14 A nd Micaiah saith, `Jehovah liveth; surely that which Jehovah saith unto me -- it I speak.'

А Михей рече: <В името на> живия Господ< заявявам, че> каквото ми рече Господ, това ще говоря.

15 A nd he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, `Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead, to battle, or do we forbear?' and he saith unto him, `Go up, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

И тъй, дойде при царя. И царят му каза: Михее, да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не идем? А той му отговори: Възлез и ще имаш добър успех; защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

16 A nd the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee that thou speak nothing unto me but truth in the name of Jehovah?'

А царят му каза: Колко пъти ще те заклевам да ми не говориш друго освен истината в Господното име!

17 A nd he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the hills as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, These have no master; they turn back each to his house in peace.'

А той рече: Видях целия Израил пръснат по планините, като овци, които нямат овчар; и Господ рече: Тия нямат господар; нека се върнат всеки у дома си с мир.

18 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Have I not said unto thee, He doth not prophesy of me good, but evil?'

Тогава Израилевият цар каза на Иосафата: Не рекох ли ти, че не ще прорече добро за мене, но зло?

19 A nd he saith, `Therefore, hear a word of Jehovah; I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing by Him, on His right and on His left;

<А Михей> рече: Чуй, прочее, Господното слово. Видях Господа седящ на престола Си, и цялото небесно множество стоящо около него отдясно и отляво.

20 a nd Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? and this one saith thus, and that one is saying thus.

И Господ рече: Кой ще примами Ахаава, за да отиде и да падне в Рамот-галаад? И един каза едно, а друг каза друго.

21 ` And the spirit goeth out, and standeth before Jehovah, and saith, I -- I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, By what?

Сетне излезе един дух та застана пред Господа и рече: Аз ще го примамя.

22 a nd he saith, I go out, and have been a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets; and He saith, Thou dost entice, and also thou art able; go out and do so.

И Господ му рече: Как? А той каза: Ще изляза и ще бъда лъжлив дух в устата на всичките му пророци. И <Господ> рече: Примамвай го, още и ще сполучиш; излез, стори така.

23 A nd now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee -- evil.'

Сега, прочее, ето, Господ е турил лъжлив дух в устата на всички тия твои пророци; обаче Господ е говорил зло за тебе.

24 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah draweth nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where this -- he hath passed over -- the Spirit of Jehovah -- from me to speak with thee?'

Тогава Седекия, Ханаановият син, се приближи та плесна Михея по бузата и каза: През кой път мина Господният Дух от мене, за да говори на тебе?

25 A nd Micaiah saith, `Lo, thou art seeing on that day, when thou goest in to the innermost chamber to be hidden.'

А Михей рече: Ето, ще видиш в оня ден, когато ще отиваш из клет в клет за да се криеш.

26 A nd the king of Israel saith, `Take Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,

Тогава Израилевият цар каза: Хванете Михея та го върнете при градския управител Амон и при царския син Иоас.

27 a nd thou hast said, Thus said the king, Place ye this one in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my coming in peace.'

И речете: Така казва царят: Турете тогова в тъмницата, и хранете го със затворническа порция хляб и вода {Еврейски: С хляб печален и вода печална.} догде си дойда с мир.

28 A nd Micaiah saith, `If thou at all return in peace -- Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, `Hear, O peoples, all of them.'

И рече Михей: Ако някога се върнеш с мир, то Господ не е говорил чрез мене. Рече още: Слушайте вие, всички племена.

29 A nd the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, to Ramoth-Gilead.

И така, Израилевият цар и Юдовият цар Иосафат отидоха в Рамот-галаад.

30 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, `And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and goeth into battle.

И Израилевият цар рече на Иосафата: Аз ще се предреша като вляза в сражението, а ти облечи одеждите си. Прочее, Израилевият цар се предреши та влезе в сражението.

31 A nd the king of Aram commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath -- thirty and two -- saying, `Ye do not fight with small or with great, but with the king of Israel by himself.'

А сирийският цар бе заповядал на тридесет и двамата свои колесниценачалници, казвайки: Не се бийте нито с малък, нито с голям, но само с Израилевия цар.

32 A nd it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they said, `He only the king of Israel;' and they turn aside to him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out,

А колесниценачалниците, като видяха Иосафата, рекоха: Несъмнено тоя ще е Израилевия цар; и отклониха се, да го ударят; но Иосафат извика.

33 a nd it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that he not the king of Israel, that they turn back from after him.

И колесниценачалниците, като видяха, че не беше Израилевият цар, престанаха да го преследват и се върнаха.

34 A nd a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to his charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and take me out from the camp, for I have become sick.'

А един човек стреля без да мери, и удари Израилевия цар между ставите на бронята му; за това той рече на колесничаря си: Обърни ръката си та ме изведи из сражението, защото съм тежко ранен.

35 A nd the battle increaseth on that day, and the king hath been caused to stand in the chariot, over-against Aram, and he dieth in the evening, and the blood of the wound runneth out unto the midst of the chariot,

И в оня ден сражението се усили; а царят биде подкрепен в колесницата си срещу сирийците, но привечер умря; и кръвта течеше от раната в дъното на колесницата.

36 a nd he causeth the cry to pass over through the camp, at the going in of the sun, saying, `Each unto his city, and each unto his land.'

И около захождането на слънцето, нададе се в стана вик, който казваше: Всеки <да иде> в града си и всеки на мястото си!

37 A nd the king dieth, and cometh into Samaria, and they bury the king in Samaria;

Така царят умря, и донесоха го в Самария, и погребаха царя в Самария.

38 a nd rinseth the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs lick his blood -- when the armour they had washed -- according to the word of Jehovah that He spake.

И като миеха колесницата в самарийския водоем, гдето се миеха и блудниците, кучетата лижеха кръвта му, според словото, което Господ бе говорил.

39 A nd the rest of the matters of Ahab, and all that he did, and the house of ivory that he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

А останалите дела на Ахаава, и всичко що върши, и къщата която построи от слонова кост, и всичките градове, които съгради, не са ли написани в Книгата на летописите на Израилевите царе?

40 A nd Ahab lieth with his fathers, and Ahaziah his son reigneth in his stead.

Така Ахаав заспа с бащите си; и вместо него се възцари син му Охозия.

41 A nd Jehoshaphat son of Asa hath reigned over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel,

А над Юда се възцари Иосафат, син на Аса, в четвъртата година на Израилевия цар Ахаав.

42 J ehoshaphat a son of thirty and five years in his reigning, and twenty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Azubah daughter of Shilhi.

Иосафат бе тридесет и пет години на възраст, когато се възцари, и царува двадесет и пет години в Ерусалим; а името на майка му беше Азува, дъщеря на Силея.

43 A nd he walketh in all the way of Asa his father, he hath not turned aside from it, to do that which right in the eyes of Jehovah; only the high places have not turned aside, yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.

Той ходи съвършено в пътя на баща си Аса; не се отклони от него, а вършеше това, което бе право пред Господа. Високите места, обаче, не се отмахнаха; людете още жертвуваха и кадяха по високите места.

44 A nd Jehoshaphat maketh peace with the king of Israel;

И Иосафат сключи мир с Израилевия цар.

45 a nd the rest of the matters of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he got, and with which he fought, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

А останалите дела на Иосафата, юначествата, които показа, и как воюваше, не са ли написани в Книгата на летописите на Юдовите царе.

46 A nd the remnant of the whoremongers who were left in the days of Asa his father he took away out of the land;

Също той изтреби от земята останалите мъжеложници, които бяха останали от времето на баща му Аса.

47 a nd there is no king in Edom; he set up a king.

В това време нямаше цар в Едом, но наместник царуваше.

48 J ehoshaphat made ships at Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, and they went not, for the ships were broken in Ezion-Geber.

Иосафат построи кораби< като> тарсийските, които да идат в Офир за злато; обаче не отидоха, защото корабите се разбиха в Есион-гавер.

49 T hen said Ahaziah son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, `Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships;' and Jehoshaphat was not willing.

Тогава Охозия Ахаавовият син каза на Иосафата: Нека отидат моите слуги с твоите слуги в корабите. Но Иосафат отказа.

50 A nd Jehoshaphat lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoram his son reigneth in his stead.

И Иосафат заспа с бащите си, и биде погребан с бащите си в града на баща си Давида; и вместо него се възцари син му Иорам.

51 A haziah son of Ahab hath reigned over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigneth over Israel two years,

Охозия, Ахаавовият син, се възцари над Израиля в Самария, в седемнадесетата година на Юдовия цар Иосафат, и царува две години над Израиля.

52 a nd doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat who caused Israel to sin,

Той върши зло пред Господа, като ходи в пътя на баща си, и в пътя на майка си, и в пътя на Еровоама, Наватовия син, който направи Израиля да греши;

53 a nd serveth the Baal, and boweth himself to it, and provoketh Jehovah, God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.

защото служи на Ваала и му се поклони, и разгневи Господа Израилевия Бог според всичко, което бе вършил баща му.
