1 A nd he said unto the disciples, `It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but wo through whom they come;

И рече на учениците Си: Не е възможно да не дойдат съблазните; но горко на онзи, чрез който дохождат!

2 i t is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put round about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.

По-добре би било за него да се окачи един голям воденичен камък на врата му и да бъде хвърлен в морето, а не да съблазни един от тия малките.

3 ` Take heed to yourselves, and, if thy brother may sin in regard to thee, rebuke him, and if he may reform, forgive him,

Внимавайте на себе си. Ако прегреши брат ти, смъмри го; и ако се покае прости му.

4 a nd if seven times in the day he may sin against thee, and seven times in the day may turn back to thee, saying, I reform; thou shalt forgive him.'

И седем пъти на ден ако ти сгреши, и седем пъти се обърне към тебе и каже: Покайвам се, прощавай му.

5 A nd the apostles said to the Lord, `Add to us faith;'

И апостолите рекоха на Господа: Придай ни вяра.

6 a nd the Lord said, `If ye had faith as a grain of mustard, ye would have said to this sycamine, Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.

А Господ рече: Ако имате вяра колкото синапово зърно, казали бихте на тая черница: Изкорени се и насади се в морето, и тя би ви послушала.

7 ` But, who is he of you -- having a servant ploughing or feeding -- who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come near, recline at meat?

А кой от вас, ако има слуга да му оре или да му пасе, ще му рече веднага, щом си дойде от нивата: Влез да ядеш?

8 b ut will not say to him, Prepare what I may sup, and having girded thyself about, minister to me, till I eat and drink, and after these things thou shalt eat and drink?

Напротив не ще ли му рече: Приготви нещо да вечерям, стегни се та ми пошетай, докато ям и пия, и подир това ти ще ядеш и пиеш?

9 H ath he favour to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.

Нима ще благодари на слугата за дето е извършил каквото е било заповядано?.

10 ` So also ye, when ye may have done all the things directed you, say -- We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do -- we have done.'

Също така и вие, когато извършите все що ви е заповядано, казвайте: Ние сме безполезни слуги; извършихме <само> това, което бяхме длъжни да извършим.

11 A nd it came to pass, in his going on to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,

И в пътуването Си към Ерусалим Той минаваше <границата> между Самария и Галилея.

12 a nd he entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood afar off,

И като влизаше в едно село, срещнаха Го десетина прокажени, които, като се спряха отдалеч,

13 a nd they lifted up the voice, saying, `Jesus, master, deal kindly with us;'

извикаха със силен глас, казвайки: Исусе наставниче, смили се за нас!

14 a nd having seen, he said to them, `Having gone on, shew yourselves to the priests;' and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,

И като ги видя, рече им: Идете, покажете се на свещениците. И като отиваха, очистиха се.

15 a nd one of them having seen that he was healed did turn back, with a loud voice glorifying God,

И един от тях, като видя, че изцеля, върна се и със силен глас славеше Бога,

16 a nd he fell upon face at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.

и падна на лице при нозете на <Исуса> и Му благодареше. И той бе самарянин.

17 A nd Jesus answering said, `Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine -- where?

А Исус в отговор му рече: Нали се очистиха десетимата? а где са деветимата?

18 T here were not found who did turn back to give glory to God, except this alien;'

Не намериха ли се <други> да се върнат и въздадат слава на Бога, освен тоя иноплеменник?

19 a nd he said to him, `Having risen, be going on, thy faith hath saved thee.'

И рече му: Стани и си иди; твоята вяра те изцели.

20 A nd having been questioned by the Pharisees, when the reign of God doth come, he answered them, and said, `The reign of God doth not come with observation;

А <Исус> попитан от фарисеите, кога ще дойде Божието царство, в отговор им каза: Божието царство не иде така щото да се забелязва;

21 n or shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.'

нито ще рекат: Ето тук е! или Там е! защото, ето Божието царство е всред вас.

22 A nd he said unto his disciples, `Days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not behold;

И рече на учениците: Ще дойдат дни, когато ще пожелаете да видите< поне> един от дните на Човешкия Син, и няма да видите.

23 a nd they shall say to you, Lo, here; or lo, there; ye may not go away, nor follow;

И като ви рекат: Ето, тук е! да не отидете, нито да тичате подире< им>.

24 f or as the lightning that is lightening out of the one under heaven, to the other part under heaven doth shine, so shall be also the Son of Man in his day;

Защото, както светкавицата, когато блесне от единия край на хоризонта, свети до другия край на хоризонта, така ще бъде и Човешкият Син в Своя ден.

25 a nd first it behoveth him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.

Но първо Той трябва да пострада много и да бъде отхвърлен от това поколение.

26 ` And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;

И както стана в Ноевите дни, така ще бъде и в дните на Човешкия Син;

27 t hey were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed all;

ядяха, пиеха, женеха се и се омъжваха до деня, когато Ное влезе в ковчега, и дойде потопът и ги погуби всички.

28 i n like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;

Така също, както стана в Лотовите дни; ядяха, пиеха, купуваха, продаваха, садяха и градяха,

29 a nd on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.

а в деня, когато Лот излезе от Содом, огън и сяра наваляха от небето и ги погубиха всички, -

30 ` According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;

подобно на това ще бъде и в деня, когато Човешкият Син ще се яви.

31 i n that day, he who shall be on the house top, and his vessels in the house, let him not come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, let him not turn backward;

В оня ден, който се намери на къщния покрив, ако вещите му са в къщи, да не слиза да ги вземе; също и който е на нива да не се връща назад.

32 r emember the wife of Lot.

Помнете Лотовата жена.

33 W hoever may seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever may lose it, shall preserve it.

Който иска да спечели живота {Или: Душата} си, ще го изгуби; а който го изгуби, ще го опази.

34 ` I say to you, In that night, there shall be two men on one couch, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;

Казвам ви, в онази нощ двама ще бъдат на едно легло; единият ще се вземе, а другият ще се остави.

35 t wo women shall be grinding at the same place together, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;

Две жени ще мелят заедно; едната ще се вземе, а другата <ще се вземе, а другата>{Повторението на тези думи вероятно е печатна грешка в изданието от 1940 г.} ще се остави.

36 t wo men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left.'

37 A nd they answering say to him, `Where, sir?' and he said to them, `Where the body, there will the eagles be gathered together.'

Отговарят Му, казвайки: Къде, Господи? А Той им рече: Където е трупът, там ще се съберат и орлите.
