1 A nd He crieth in mine ears -- a loud voice -- saying, `Drawn near have inspectors of the city, and each his destroying weapon in his hand.'

Тогава Той извика в ушите ми с висок глас и рече: Нека се приближат ония, на които е заръчано за града, всеки с изтребителното си оръжие в ръка.

2 A nd lo, six men are coming from the way of the upper gate, that is facing the north, and each his slaughter-weapon in his hand, and one man in their midst is clothed with linen, and a scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and they come in, and stand near the brazen altar.

И, ето, шест мъже идеха по пътя от горната порта, която гледа към север, всеки с разрушително оръжие в ръка, и всред тях един човек облечен в ленено, с писарска мастилница на кръста му; и като влязоха застанаха при медния олтар.

3 A nd the honour of the God of Israel hath gone up from off the cherub, on which it hath been, unto the threshold of the house.

И славата на Израилевия Бог се издигна от херувимите, над които бе, <та застана> над прага на дома; и Той извика към облечения в ленено мъж, който имаше на кръста си писарска мастилница.

4 A nd He calleth unto the man who is clothed with linen, who hath the scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and Jehovah saith unto him, `Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and thou hast made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.'

И Господ му рече: Мини през града, през Ерусалим, и тури белег върху челата на мъжете, които въздишат и плачат поради всичките мерзости, които стават всред него.

5 A nd to the others he said in mine ears, `Pass on into the city after him, and smite; your eye doth not pity, nor do ye spare;

А на другите рече, като слушах аз: Минете подир него през града, та поразете; окото ви да не пощади, нито да покажете милост;

6 a ged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, ye do slay -- to destruction; and against any man on whom the mark ye do not go nigh, and from My sanctuary ye begin.'

старци, юноши и девици, младенци и жени избийте съвсем; но не се приближавайте при никого от ония, върху които е белегът; и започнете от светилището Ми. Прочее, те започнаха от старейшините, които бяха пред дома.

7 A nd they begin among the aged men who before the house, and He saith unto them, `Defile the house, and fill the courts with the wounded, go forth.' And they have gone forth and have smitten in the city.

Тогава им рече: Осквернете дома и напълнете дворовете с убити; излезте. И излязоха та поразяваха в града.

8 A nd it cometh to pass, as they are smiting, and I -- I am left -- that I fall on my face, and cry, and say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, art Thou destroying all the remnant of Israel, in Thy pouring out Thy wrath on Jerusalem?'

А те като поразяваха и аз останах, паднах на лицето си, извиках, и рекох: Горко, Господи Иеова! ще изтребиш ли всичките останали от Израиля като изливаш гнева Си върху Ерусалим?

9 A nd He saith unto me, `The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah very very great, and the land is full of blood, and the city hath been full of perverseness, for they have said: Jehovah hath forsaken the land, and Jehovah is not seeing.

И Той ми рече: Беззаконието на Израилевия и на Юдовия дом стана твърде голямо; земята е пълна с кръв, и градът пълен с извращение <на съд>, защото си думат: Господ е напуснал земята, и: Господ не вижда.

10 A nd I also, Mine eye doth not pity, nor do I spare; their way on their own head I have put.'

Затова, и от Моя страна, окото Ми няма да пощади, и Аз няма да покажа милост, а ще възвърна постъпките им върху главите им.

11 A nd lo, the man clothed with linen, at whose loins the inkhorn, is bringing back word, saying, `I have done as Thou hast commanded me.'

И, ето, облеченият в ленено мъж, който имаше на кръста си мастилницата, даде отчет за работата, като каза: Направих както Ти ми заповяда.
