1 A nd much cattle hath been to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad, very many; and they see the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, and lo, the place a place cattle;

А Рувимовите синове и Гадовите синове имаха твърде много добитък; и когато видяха Язирската земя и Галаадската земя, че, ето, мястото беше място за добитък,

2 a nd the sons of Gad, and the sons of Reuben, come in and speak unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the company, saying:

то Гадовите синове и Рувимовите синове дойдоха и говориха на Моисей, на свещеника Елеазар и на първенците на обществото:

3 ` Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon --

Атарот, Девон, Язир, Нимра, Есевон, Елеала, Севама, Нево и Веон,

4 t he land which Jehovah hath smitten before the company of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle.'

земята, която Господ порази пред Израелевото общество, е земя за добитък; а слугите ти имат добитък.

5 A nd they say, `If we have found grace in thine eyes, let this land be given to thy servants for a possession; cause us not to pass over the Jordan.'

Затова, казаха, ако сме придобили твоето благоволение, нека тази земя бъде дадена на слугите ти за притежание; не ни превеждай през Йордан.

6 A nd Moses saith to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, `Do your brethren go in to the battle, and ye -- do ye sit here?

А Моисей каза на Гадовите синове и на Рувимовите синове: Да идат ли братята ви на бой, а вие тук да седите?

7 a nd why discourage ye the heart of the sons of Israel from passing over unto the land which Jehovah hath given to them?

Защо обезсърчавате сърцата на израелтяните, за да не преминат в земята, която Господ им е дал?

8 ` Thus did your fathers in my sending them from Kadesh-Barnea to see the land;

Така направиха бащите ви, когато ги изпратих от Кадис-варни, за да видят земята;

9 a nd they go up unto the valley of Eshcol, and see the land, and discourage the heart of the sons of Israel so as not to go in unto the land which Jehovah hath given to them;

отидоха до долината Есхол и като видяха земята, обезсърчиха сърцата на израелтяните, за да не влязат в земята, която Господ им беше дал.

10 a nd the anger of Jehovah burneth in that day, and He sweareth, saying,

И в онзи ден гневът на Господа пламна и Той се закле, като каза:

11 T hey do not see -- the men who are coming up out of Egypt from a son of twenty years and upward -- the ground which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, for they have not been fully after Me;

Нито един от онези мъже, които излязоха от Египет, от двадесет години нагоре, няма да види земята, за която съм се клел на Авраам, Исаак и Яков, защото не Ме последваха напълно,

12 s ave Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua son of Nun, for they have been fully after Jehovah;

освен Халев, син на Ефония Кенезов, и Исус, Навиновия син, защото те напълно последваха Господа.

13 a nd the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He causeth them to wander in the wilderness forty years, until the consumption of all the generation which is doing the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

Гневът на Господа пламна против Израел и Той ги направи да се скитат из пустинята четиридесет години, докато се довърши изцяло онова поколение, което беше извършило зло пред Господа.

14 ` And lo, ye have risen in the stead of your fathers, an increase of men -- sinners, to add yet to the fury of the anger of Jehovah toward Israel;

И, ето, вместо бащите си, издигнахте се вие, прибавка на грешни хора, и ще разпалите повече пламъка на Господния гняв против Израел.

15 w hen ye turn back from after Him, then He hath added yet to leave him in the wilderness, and ye have done corruptly to all this people.'

Защото, ако вие се отвърнете от Него, Той ще остави тях още веднъж в пустинята; и така вие ще станете причината да погине целият този народ.

16 A nd they come nigh unto him, and say, `Folds for the flock we build for our cattle here, and cities for our infants;

Но те пристъпиха към Моисей и казаха: Ще съградим тук огради за добитъка си и градове за домовете си;

17 a nd we -- we are armed hasting before the sons of Israel till that we have brought them in unto their place; and our infants have dwelt in the cities of defence because of the inhabitants of the land;

а самите ние сме готови да вървим въоръжени пред израелтяните, докато ги заведем до мястото им; и домовете ни ще седят в укрепените градове в безопасност от местните жители.

18 w e do not turn back unto our houses till the sons of Israel have inherited each his inheritance,

Няма да се върнем в домовете си, докато израелтяните не наследят, всеки наследството си.

19 f or we do not inherit with them beyond the Jordan and yonder, for our inheritance hath come unto us beyond the Jordan at the -rising.'

Защото ние няма да наследим с тях оттатък Йордан и по-нататък, понеже нашето наследство ни се падна отсам Йордан, на изток.

20 A nd Moses saith unto them, `If ye do this thing: if ye are armed before Jehovah for battle,

Тогава Моисей им каза: Ако направите това, ако отидете въоръжени на бой пред Господа,

21 a nd every armed one of you hath passed over the Jordan before Jehovah, till his dispossessing His enemies from before Him,

ако всички въоръжени преминете Йордан пред Господа, докато Той изгони враговете Си пред Себе Си

22 a nd the land hath been subdued before Jehovah -- then afterwards ye do turn back, and have been acquitted by Jehovah, and by Israel; and this land hath been to you for a possession before Jehovah.

и земята бъде завладяна пред Господа, а след това се върнете, тогава ще бъдете невинни пред Господа и пред Израел и ще имате тази земя за притежание пред Господа.

23 ` And if ye do not so, lo, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and know ye your sin, that it doth find you;

Но ако не направите така, ще съгрешите пред Господа; и да знаете, че грехът ви ще ви намери.

24 b uild for yourselves cities for your infants, and folds for your flock, and that which is going out from your mouth do ye.'

Съградете градове за домовете си и огради за овцете си и направете това, което излезе от устата ви.

25 A nd the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben speak unto Moses, saying, `Thy servants do as my lord is commanding;

И Гадовите синове и Рувимовите синове говориха на Моисей: Слугите ти ще направят, както господарят ни заповяда.

26 o ur infants, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts, are there in cities of Gilead,

Децата ни, жените ни, стадата ни и всичкият ни добитък ще останат тук, в галаадските градове;

27 a nd thy servants pass over, every armed one of the host, before Jehovah, to battle, as my lord is saying.'

а слугите ти, всички, въоръжени и опълчени, ще отидат пред Господа на бой, както господарят ни каза.

28 A nd Moses commandeth concerning them Eleazar the priest, and Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel;

Тогава Моисей даде поръчка за тях на свещеника Елеазар, на Исус Навин и на началниците на бащините домове от племената на израелтяните.

29 a nd Moses saith unto them, `If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben pass over with you the Jordan, every one armed for battle, before Jehovah, and the land hath been subdued before you, then ye have given to them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Моисей им каза: Ако Гадовите синове и Рувимовите синове преминат с вас Йордан, всички въоръжени за бой пред Господа, и бъде завладяна земята пред вас, тогава ще им дадете Галаадската земя за притежание.

30 a nd if they do not pass over armed with you, then they have possessions in your midst in the land of Canaan.'

Но ако не искат да преминат с вас въоръжени, тогава да вземат наследство между вас в Ханаанската земя.

31 A nd the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben answer, saying, `That which Jehovah hath spoken unto thy servants -- so we do;

А Гадовите синове и Рувимовите синове отговориха: Както каза Господ на слугите ти, така ще направим.

32 w e -- we pass over armed before Jehovah the land of Canaan, and with us the possession of our inheritance beyond the Jordan.'

Ние ще заминем въоръжени пред Господа в Ханаанската земя, за да притежаваме наследството си оттатък Йордан.

33 A nd Moses giveth to them, to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half of the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land by its cities, in the borders, the cities of the land round about.

И така, Моисей им даде, т. е. на Гадовите синове, на Рувимовите синове и на половината от племето на Йосифовия син Манасия, царството на аморейския цар Сион и царството на васанския цар Ог, земята заедно с градовете в пределите ѝ, градовете на околната земя.

34 A nd the sons of Gad build Dihon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

Гадовите синове съградиха Девон, Атарот, Ароир,

35 a nd Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

Атротсофан, Язир, Йогвея,

36 a nd Beth-Nimrah, and Beth-Haran, cities of defence, and sheepfolds.

Ветнимра и Ветаран, укрепени градове и огради за овце.

37 A nd the sons of Reuben have build Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

А Рувимовите синове съградиха Есевон, Елеала, Кириатаим,

38 a nd Nebo, and Baal-Meon (changed in name), and Shibmah, and they call by names the names of the cities which they have built.

Нево и Ваалмеон (с променени имена) и Севама; и преименуваха градовете, които съградиха.

39 A nd sons of Machir son of Manasseh go to Gilead, and capture it, and dispossess the Amorite, who in it;

И потомците на Манасиевия син Махир отидоха в Галаад, завладяха го и прогониха аморейците, които бяха в него.

40 a nd Moses giveth Gilead to Machir son of Manasseh, and he dwelleth in it.

Затова Моисей даде Галаад на Махир, Манасиевия син, и той се засели в него.

41 A nd Jair son of Manasseh hath gone and captureth their towns, and calleth them `Towns of Jair;'

А Манасиевият син Яир отиде и завладя градовете му и ги преименува Авот-Яир.

42 a nd Nobah hath gone and captureth Kenath, and its villages, and calleth it Nobah, by his own name.

И Нова отида и превзе Кенат и селата му и го преименува Нова по своето име.
