1 A nd as they are speaking unto the people, there came to them the priests, and the magistrate of the temple, and the Sadducees --

И когато те още говореха на хората, свещениците, началникът на храмовата стража и садукеите надойдоха при тях

2 b eing grieved because of their teaching the people, and preaching in Jesus the rising again out of the dead --

възмутени, че те поучаваха народа и проповядваха, в името на Исус, възкресението на мъртвите.

3 a nd they laid hands upon them, and did put them in custody unto the morrow, for it was evening already;

И така, сложиха ръце на тях и ги поставиха под стража до следващия ден, защото вече беше привечер.

4 a nd many of those hearing the word did believe, and the number of the men became, as it were, five thousand.

А мнозина от тези, които чуха словото, повярваха; и броят на повярвалите мъже достигна до пет хиляди.

5 A nd it came to pass upon the morrow, there were gathered together of them the rulers, and elders, and scribes, to Jerusalem,

И на другия ден се събраха в Йерусалим началниците им, старейшините и книжниците;

6 a nd Annas the chief priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the chief priest,

и първосвещеникът Анна, и Каяфа, Йоан, Александър и всички, които бяха от първосвещеническия род.

7 a nd having set them in the midst, they were inquiring, `In what power, or in what name did ye do this?'

И като поставиха Петър и Йоан на средата, ги питаха: С каква сила или в кое име извършихте това?

8 T hen Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them: `Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Тогава Петър, изпълнен със Святия Дух, им каза: Началници народни и старейшини,

9 i f we to-day are examined concerning the good deed to the ailing man, by whom he hath been saved,

ако ни изпитвате днес за едно благодеяние, сторено на немощен човек, чрез какво той бе изцелен,

10 b e it known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye did crucify, whom God did raise out of the dead, in him hath this one stood by before you whole.

да знаете всички вие и целият Израелев народ, че чрез името на Исус Христос Назарянина, Когото вие разпънахте, Когото Бог възкреси от мъртвите, чрез това име този човек стои пред вас здрав.

11 ` This is the stone that was set at nought by you -- the builders, that became head of a corner;

Той е камъкът, който бе пренебрегнат от вас, зидарите, но стана глава на ъгъла.

12 a nd there is not salvation in any other, for there is no other name under the heaven that hath been given among men, in which it behoveth us to be saved.'

И чрез никой друг няма спасение; защото няма под небето друго име, дадено на човеците, чрез което трябва да се спасим.

13 A nd beholding the openness of Peter and John, and having perceived that they are men unlettered and plebeian, they were wondering -- they were taking knowledge also of them that with Jesus they had been --

А те, като гледаха дързостта на Петър и Йоан и вече бяха забелязали, че са неуки и обикновени хора, се чудеха; и познаха, че са били с Исус.

14 a nd seeing the man standing with them who hath been healed, they had nothing to say against,

А като видяха изцеления човек, който стоеше с тях, нямаха какво да противоречат.

15 a nd having commanded them to go away out of the sanhedrim, they took counsel with one another,

Затова, като им заповядаха да излязат навън от Синедриона, се съвещаваха помежду си:

16 s aying, `What shall we do to these men? because that, indeed, a notable sign hath been done through them, to all those dwelling in Jerusalem manifest, and we are not able to deny;

Какво да направим на тези човеци, защото на всички йерусалимски жители е известно, че стана бележито знамение чрез тях; и не можем да го опровергаем.

17 b ut that it may spread no further toward the people, let us strictly threaten them no more to speak in this name to any man.'

Но за да не се разнася повече между народа, нека ги заплашим, за да не говорят вече на никого в това име.

18 A nd having called them, they charged them not to speak at all, nor to teach, in the name of Jesus,

И така, те ги повикаха и им заръчаха изобщо да не говорят, нито да поучават в Исусовото име.

19 a nd Peter and John answering unto them said, `Whether it is righteous before God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye;

А Петър и Йоан им отвърнаха с думите: Право ли е пред Бога да слушаме вас, а не Бога, разсъдете;

20 f or we cannot but speak what we did see and hear.'

защото ние не можем да не говорим това, което сме видели и чули.

21 A nd they having further threatened, let them go, finding nothing how they may punish them, because of the people, because all were glorifying God for that which hath been done,

А те, като ги заплашиха отново, ги пуснаха, понеже не знаеха как да ги накажат поради народа, защото всички славеха Бога за станалото.

22 f or above forty years of age was the man upon whom had been done this sign of the healing.

Защото човекът, над когото се извърши това чудо на изцеление, беше на повече от четиридесет години. Молитва за Божия подкрепа

23 A nd being let go, they went unto their own friends, and declared whatever the chief priests and the elders said unto them,

И когато ги пуснаха, те дойдоха при своите и известиха всичко, което им казаха главните свещеници и старейшините.

24 a nd they having heard, with one accord did lift up the voice unto God, and said, `Lord, thou God, who didst make the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all that in them,

А те, като чуха, издигнаха единодушно глас към Бога и казаха: Владико, Ти си Бог, Който си направил небето, земята, морето и всичко, което е в тях,

25 w ho, through the mouth of David thy servant, did say, Why did nations rage, and peoples meditate vain things?

Ти чрез Святия Дух, Който говори чрез устата на слугата Ти, нашия баща Давид, си казал: "Защо се разяряваха народите и хората намисляха суети?

26 t he kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ;

Опълчваха се земните царе и управниците се събираха заедно против Господа и против Неговия Помазаник."

27 f or gathered together of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou didst anoint, were both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with nations and peoples of Israel,

Защото наистина и Ирод, и Пилат Понтийски, с езичниците и Израелевия народ се събраха в този град против Твоя свят Син Исус, Когото си помазал,

28 t o do whatever Thy hand and Thy counsel did determine before to come to pass.

за да извършат всичко, което Твоята ръка и Твоята воля са определили да стане.

29 ` And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to Thy servants with all freedom to speak Thy word,

И сега, Господи, погледни на техните заплахи и дай на Своите слуги да говорят Твоето слово с пълна дързост,

30 i n the stretching forth of Thy hand, for healing, and signs, and wonders, to come to pass through the name of Thy holy child Jesus.'

докато Ти простираш ръката Си да изцеляваш и да стават знамения и чудеса чрез името на Твоя свят Син Исус.

31 A nd they having prayed, the place was shaken in which they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and were speaking the word of God with freedom,

И като се помолиха, където бяха събрани, се потресе и всички се изпълниха със Святия Дух и с дързост говореха Божието слово. Общата собственост на благата при първите християни

32 a nd of the multitude of those who did believe the heart and the soul was one, and not one was saying that anything of the things he had was his own, but all things were to them in common.

А множеството на повярвалите имаше едно сърце и душа; и нито един от тях не казваше, че нещо от имота му е негово, но всичко им беше общо.

33 A nd with great power were the apostles giving the testimony to the rising again of the Lord Jesus, great grace also was on them all,

И апостолите с голяма сила свидетелстваха за възкресението на Господ Исус; и голяма благодат почиваше над всички тях.

34 f or there was not any one among them who did lack, for as many as were possessors of fields, or houses, selling, were bringing the prices of the thing sold,

А и никой от тях не беше в лишение, защото всички, които бяха стопани на ниви или на къщи, ги продаваха и донасяха стойността на продаденото,

35 a nd were laying them at the feet of the apostles, and distribution was being made to each according as any one had need.

и я слагаха пред краката на апостолите; и на всеки се раздаваше, според колкото имаше нужда.

36 A nd Joses, who was surnamed by the apostles Barnabas -- which is, having been interpreted, Son of Comfort -- a Levite, of Cyprus by birth,

Така Йосиф, наречен от апостолите Варнава (което значи "син на утешение"), левит, родом от Кипър,

37 a field being his, having sold, brought the money and laid at the feet of the apostles.

като имаше земя, продаде я, донесе парите и ги сложи пред краката на апостолите.
