1 A nd the king cometh in, and Haman, to drink with Esther the queen,

И така, царят и Аман дойдоха да пируват с царица Естир.

2 a nd the king saith to Esther also on the second day, during the banquet of wine, `What thy petition, Esther, O queen? and it is given to thee; and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is done.'

А на втория ден, като пиеха вино, царят пак каза на Естир: Какво е желанието ти, царице Естир? И ще ти бъде удовлетворено. А какво е прошението ти? И ще бъде изпълнено, даже до половината от царството.

3 A nd Esther the queen answereth and saith, `If I have found grace in thine eyes, O king, and if to the king good, let my life be given to me at my petition, and my people at my request;

Тогава царица Естир отговори: Ако съм придобила твоето благоволение, царю, и ако е угодно на царя, нека ми бъде подарен животът ми при молбата ми и народът ми при молбата ми;

4 f or we have been sold, I and my people, to cut off, to slay, and to destroy; and if for men-servants and for maid-servants we had been sold I had kept silent -- but the adversity is not equal to the loss of the king.'

защото сме продадени, аз и народът ми, да бъдем погубени, избити и изтребени. Ако бяхме само продадени като роби и робини, бих премълчала, при все че неприятелят не би могъл да възстанови щетата на царя.

5 A nd the king Ahasuerus saith, yea, he saith to Esther the queen, `Who he -- this one? and where this one? -- he whose heart hath filled him to do so?'

Тогава цар Асуир каза на царица Естир: Кой е той и къде е онзи, който е дръзнал в сърцето си да направи така?

6 A nd Esther saith, `The man -- adversary and enemy -- this wicked Haman;' and Haman hath been afraid at the presence of the king and of the queen.

Естир отговори: Противникът и неприятелят е този нечестив Аман. Тогава Аман се смути пред царя и царицата.

7 A nd the king hath risen, in his fury, from the banquet of wine, unto the garden of the house, and Haman hath remained to seek for his life from Esther the queen, for he hath seen that evil hath been determined against him by the king.

И царят, разгневен, стана от угощението с вино и отиде в градината на палата, а Аман стана, за да измоли живота си от царица Естир, защото видя, че зло беше решено против него от царя.

8 A nd the king hath turned back out of the garden of the house unto the house of the banquet of wine, and Haman is falling on the couch on which Esther, and the king saith, `Also to subdue the queen with me in the house?' the word hath gone out from the mouth of the king, and the face of Haman they have covered.

В това време царят се върна от градината на палата в мястото на пиршеството; а Аман беше паднал на постелката, на която беше Естир. И царят каза: Още и царицата ли иска да изнасили пред мен у дома? Щом излязоха тези думи от устата на царя, покриха Амановото лице.

9 A nd Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, saith before the king, `Also lo, the tree that Haman made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, is standing in the house of Haman, in height fifty cubits;' and the king saith, `Hang him upon it.'

Тогава Арвон, един от служещите пред царя евнуси, каза: Ето и бесилката - петдесет лакътя висока, която Аман направи за Мардохей, който говори добро за царя - стои в къщата на Аман. Тогава царят нареди: Обесете го на нея.

10 A nd they hang Haman upon the tree that he had prepared for Mordecai, and the fury of the king hath lain down.

И така обесиха Аман на бесилката, която беше приготвил за Мардохей. Тогава царската ярост утихна.
