1 A nd it came to pass in Iconium, that they did enter together into the synagogue of the Jews, and spake, so that there believed both of Jews and Greeks a great multitude;

А в Икония те влязоха заедно в юдейската синагога и така говориха, че повярваха голямо множество юдеи и гърци.

2 a nd the unbelieving Jews did stir up and made evil the souls of the nations against the brethren;

А непокорните на Божието учение юдеи подбудиха и раздразниха духовете на езичниците против братята.

3 l ong time, indeed, therefore, did they abide speaking boldly in the Lord, who is testifying to the word of His grace, and granting signs and wonders to come to pass through their hands.

Но те останаха там доста време и дръзновено говореха за Господа, Който свидетелстваше за словото на Своята благодат, като даваше да стават знамения и чудеса чрез техните ръце.

4 A nd the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews, and some with the apostles,

И множеството в града се раздвои: едни бяха с юдеите, други - с апостолите.

5 a nd when there was a purpose both of the nations and of the Jews with their rulers to use despitefully, and to stone them,

И когато се породи стремеж в езичниците и юдеите с началниците им да ги опозорят и да ги убият с камъни,

6 t hey having become aware, did flee to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and to the region round about,

те научиха и избягаха в ликаонските градове Листра и Дервия и в околните им места,

7 a nd there they were proclaiming good news.

и там проповядваха благовестието. Апостолите в Листра

8 A nd a certain man in Lystra, impotent in the feet, was sitting, being lame from the womb of his mother -- who never had walked,

А в Листра седеше някой си човек, немощен в краката, куц по рождение, който никога не беше ходил.

9 t his one was hearing Paul speaking, who, having stedfastly beheld him, and having seen that he hath faith to be saved,

Той слушаше Павел като говореше; а Павел, като се взря в него и видя, че има вяра да бъде изцелен,

10 s aid with a loud voice, `Stand up on thy feet upright;' and he was springing and walking,

каза със силен глас: Стани на краката си. И той скочи и ходеше.

11 a nd the multitudes having seen what Paul did, did lift up their voice, in the speech of Lycaonia, saying, `The gods, having become like men, did come down unto us;'

А народът, като видя какво извърши Павел, извика със силен глас, като казваше на ликаонски: Боговете, оприличени на човеци, са слезли при нас.

12 t hey were calling also Barnabas Zeus, and Paul Hermes, since he was the leader in speaking.

И наричаха Варнава Зевс, а Павел - Хермес, понеже той беше главният говорител.

13 A nd the priest of the Zeus that is before their city, oxen and garlands unto the porches having brought, with the multitudes did wish to sacrifice,

И жрецът при Зевсовото капище, което беше пред града, доведе телета и донесе венци при портите, и заедно с народа се канеше да принесе жертва.

14 a nd having heard, the apostles Barnabas and Paul, having rent their garments, did spring into the multitude, crying

Като чуха това апостолите Варнава и Павел, раздраха дрехите си, скочиха всред народа и извикаха:

15 a nd saying, `Men, why these things do ye? and we are men like-affected with you, proclaiming good news to you, from these vanities to turn unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them;

О, мъже, защо правите това? И ние сме човеци със същото естество като вас и ви благовестяваме да се обърнете от тези суети към живия Бог, Който е направил небето, земята, морето и всичко, което има в тях;

16 w ho in the past generations did suffer all the nations to go on in their ways,

Който през миналите поколения е оставял всички народи да ходят по своите пътища,

17 t hough, indeed, without witness He did not leave himself, doing good -- from heaven giving rains to us, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness;'

макар и да не е преставал да свидетелства за Себе Си, като е правил добрини и ви е давал от небето дъждове и плодоносни времена, и е пълнил сърцата ви с храна и веселба.

18 a nd these things saying, scarcely did they restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.

И като казаха това, те едва възпряха множествата да не им принасят жертва.

19 A nd there came thither, from Antioch and Iconium, Jews, and they having persuaded the multitudes, and having stoned Paul, drew him outside of the city, having supposed him to be dead;

Между това дойдоха юдеи от Антиохия и Икония, които убедиха народа; и като пребиха Павел с камъни, извлякоха го извън града, като мислеха, че е умрял.

20 a nd the disciples having surrounded him, having risen he entered into the city, and on the morrow he went forth with Barnabas to Derbe.

А когато учениците още стояха около него, той стана и влезе в града; и на сутринта отиде с Варнава в Дервия. Завръщането в Антиохия Сирийска

21 H aving proclaimed good news also to that city, and having discipled many, they turned back to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,

И след като проповядваха благовестието в този град и придобиха много ученици, върнаха се в Листра, Икония и Антиохия

22 c onfirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to remain in the faith, and that through many tribulations it behoveth us to enter into the reign of God,

и утвърждаваха душите на учениците, като ги увещаваха да постоянстват във вярата, и ги учеха, че през много скърби трябва да влезем в Божието царство.

23 a nd having appointed to them by vote elders in every assembly, having prayed with fastings, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

И след като им ръкоположиха презвитери във всяка църква и се помолиха с пост, препоръчаха ги на Господа, в Когото бяха повярвали.

24 A nd having passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia,

И като минаха през Писидия, дойдоха в Памфилия;

25 a nd having spoken in Perga the word, they went down to Attalia,

и проповядваха учението в Перга и слязоха в Аталия.

26 a nd thence did sail to Antioch, whence they had been given by the grace of God for the work that they fulfilled;

Оттам отплаваха за Антиохия, откъдето бяха препоръчани на Божията благодат за делото, което бяха извършили.

27 a nd having come and gathered together the assembly, they declared as many things as God did with them, and that He did open to the nations a door of faith;

И като пристигнаха и събраха църквата, те разказаха всичко, което Бог беше извършил чрез тях и как беше отворил врата за езичниците, за да повярват.

28 a nd they abode there not a little time with the disciples.

И прекараха там доста време с учениците си.
