1 A nd Jehovah hath looked after Sarah as He hath said, and Jehovah doth to Sarah as He hath spoken;

А Господ посети Сара, според както беше казал; и Господ направи на Сара, както беше казал.

2 a nd Sarah conceiveth, and beareth a son to Abraham, to his old age, at the appointed time that God hath spoken of with him;

Защото Сара зачена и роди син на Авраам в старините му, в определения му от Бога срок.

3 a nd Abraham calleth the name of his son who is born to him, whom Sarah hath born to him -- Isaac;

И Авраам наименува сина, който му се роди, когото Сара му роди, Исаак.

4 a nd Abraham circumciseth Isaac his son, a son of eight days, as God hath commanded him.

На осмия ден Авраам обряза сина си Исаак, според както Бог му беше заповядал.

5 A nd Abraham a son of a hundred years in Isaac his son being born to him,

А Авраам беше на сто години, когато се роди синът му Исаак.

6 a nd Sarah saith, `God hath made laughter for me; every one who is hearing laugheth for me.'

И Сара каза: Бог ми докара смях; всеки, който чуе, ще се смее заради мене.

7 S he saith also, `Who hath said to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled sons, that I have born a son for his old age?'

Добави още: Кой би казал на Авраам, че Сара ще кърми деца? - Защото му родих син в старините му.

8 A nd the lad groweth, and is weaned, and Abraham maketh a great banquet in the day of Isaac's being weaned;

А когато детето порасна, го отбиха; и в деня, когато отбиха Исаак, Авраам направи голямо угощение. Агар и синът ѝ Исмаил

9 a nd Sarah seeth the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she hath borne to Abraham, mocking,

А Сара видя, че синът на египтянката Агар, когото беше родила на Авраам, се присмива;

10 a nd she saith to Abraham, `Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid hath no possession with my son -- with Isaac.'

затова каза на Авраам: Изгони тази слугиня и сина ѝ; защото синът на тази слугиня няма наследство с моя син Исаак.

11 A nd the thing is very wrong in the eyes of Abraham, for his son's sake;

Тези думи обаче се видяха на Авраам твърде тежки заради сина му Исмаил.

12 a nd God saith unto Abraham, `Let it not be wrong in thine eyes because of the youth, and because of thy handmaid: all that Sarah saith unto thee -- hearken to her voice, for in Isaac is a seed called to thee.

Но Бог каза на Авраам: Да не ти се види тежко за момчето и за слугинята ти; относно всичко, което ти каже Сара, послушай думите ѝ, защото по името на Исаак ще се наименува твоето потомство.

13 A s to the son of the handmaid also, for a nation I set him, because he thy seed.'

Но и от сина на слугинята ще направя да стане народ, понеже е твой син.

14 A nd Abraham riseth early in the morning, and taketh bread, and a bottle of water, and giveth unto Hagar (placing on her shoulder), also the lad, and sendeth her out; and she goeth on, and goeth astray in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba;

Тогава на сутринта Авраам стана рано, взе хляб и мях с вода и ги даде на Агар, като ги сложи на рамото ѝ; даде ѝ още детето и я изпрати. А тя тръгна и се заблуди в пустинята Вирсавее.

15 a nd the water is consumed from the bottle, and she placeth the lad under one of the shrubs.

Но водата в меха се изчерпа; и майка му хвърли детето под един храст

16 A nd she goeth and sitteth by herself over-against, afar off, about a bow-shot, for she said, `Let me not look on the death of the lad;' and she sitteth over-against, and lifteth up her voice, and weepeth.

и отиде и седна насреща, далече колкото един хвърлей на стрела, защото си каза: Да не гледам, като умира детето. И като седна насреща, издигна глас и заплака.

17 A nd God heareth the voice of the youth; and the messenger of God calleth unto Hagar from the heavens, and saith to her, `What to thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath hearkened unto the voice of the youth where he;

А Бог чу гласа на момчето; и ангел Божий извика към Агар от небето и ѝ каза: Какво ти е, Агар? Не бой се, защото Бог чу гласа на момчето от мястото, където е.

18 r ise, lift up the youth, and lay hold on him with thy hand, for for a great nation I set him.'

Стани, вдигни момчето и го хвани с ръката си, защото ще направя от него велик народ.

19 A nd God openeth her eyes, and she seeth a well of water, and she goeth and filleth the bottle water, and causeth the youth to drink;

Тогава Бог ѝ отвори очите и тя видя кладенец с вода; и отиде да напълни меха с вода и даде на момчето да пие.

20 a nd God is with the youth, and he groweth, and dwelleth in the wilderness, and is an archer;

Бог беше с момчето, което, като порасна, се засели в пустинята и стана стрелец.

21 a nd he dwelleth in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother taketh for him a wife from the land of Egypt.

Засели се във Фаранската пустиня; и майка му му взе жена от Египетската земя. Авраам в спор с Авимелех

22 A nd it cometh to pass at that time that Abimelech speaketh -- Phichol also, head of his host -- unto Abraham, saying, `God with thee in all that thou art doing;

По онова време Авимелех, с военачалника си Фихол, говорѝ на Авраам: Бог е с тебе във всичко, което правиш.

23 a nd now, swear to me by God here: thou dost not lie to me, or to my continuator, or to my successor; according to the kindness which I have done with thee thou dost with me, and with the land in which thou hast sojourned.'

И така, сега закълни ми се тук в Бога, че няма да постъпваш невярно с мене, нито със сина ми, нито с внука ми; а според благостта, която съм показал към тебе, ще показваш и ти към мен и към земята, в която си пребивавал.

24 A nd Abraham saith, `I -- I do swear.'

И Авраам каза: Заклевам се.

25 A nd Abraham reasoned with Abimelech concerning the matter of a well of water which Abimelech's servants have taken violently away,

След това Авраам изобличи Авимелех за водния кладенец, който Авимелеховите слуги бяха отнели насила.

26 a nd Abimelech saith, `I have not known who hath done this thing, and even thou didst not declare to me, and I also, I have not heard save to-day.'

Но Авимелех отговори: Не знам кой е направил това нещо; нито ти си ми казал, нито аз съм чул за това до днес.

27 A nd Abraham taketh sheep and oxen, and giveth to Abimelech, and they make, both of them, a covenant;

Тогава Авраам взе овце и говеда и ги даде на Авимелех, и двамата сключиха договор помежду си.

28 a nd Abraham setteth seven Lambs of the flock by themselves.

А Авраам отдели седем женски агнета от стадото.

29 A nd Abimelech saith unto Abraham, `What they -- these seven lambs which thou hast set by themselves?'

Авимелех попита Авраам: Какви са тези женски агнета, които си отделил?

30 A nd he saith, `For -- the seven lambs thou dost accept from my hand, so that it becometh a witness for me that I have digged this well;'

А той каза: Тези седем женски агнета ще вземеш от мене, да ми бъдат за свидетелство, че аз съм изкопал този кладенец.

31 t herefore hath he called that place `Beer-Sheba,' for there have both of them sworn.

Затова той нарече онова място Вирсавее, защото там се заклеха двамата.

32 A nd they make a covenant in Beer-Sheba, and Abimelech riseth -- Phichol also, head of his host -- and they turn back unto the land of the Philistines;

Така те сключиха договор във Вирсавее; след това Авимелех и военачалникът му Фихол станаха и се върнаха във Филистимската земя.

33 a nd planteth a tamarask in Beer-Sheba, and preacheth there in the name of Jehovah, God age-during;

Тогава Авраам посади дъбрава във Вирсавее и там призова името на Йехова, Вечния Бог.

34 a nd Abraham sojourneth in the land of the Philistines many days.

И Авраам престоя във Филистимската земя много дни.
