1 I n the third month of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in this day they have come into the wilderness of Sinai,

В третия месец от излизането на израелтяните от Египетската земя на същия ден дойдоха в Синайската пустиня.

2 a nd they journey from Rephidim, and enter the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in the wilderness; and Israel encampeth there before the mount.

Като се вдигнаха от Рафидим, дойдоха в Синайската пустиня и разположиха стан в пустинята, където Израел разпъна шатрите си срещу планината.

3 A nd Moses hath gone up unto God, and Jehovah calleth unto him out of the mount, saying, `Thus dost thou say to the house of Jacob, and declare to the sons of Israel,

И като се изкачи Моисей при Бога, Господ го повика от планината и каза: Така да кажеш на Якововия дом и да известиш на потомците на Израел:

4 Y e -- ye have seen that which I have done to the Egyptians, and I bear you on eagles' wings, and bring you in unto Myself.

Вие видяхте какво сторих на египтяните, а как носих вас на орлови крила и ви доведох при Себе Си.

5 ` And now, if ye really hearken to My voice, then ye have kept My covenant, and been to Me a peculiar treasure more than all the peoples, for all the earth Mine;

И така, сега, ако наистина слушате гласа Ми и пазите завета Ми, то повече от всички племена вие ще бъдете Мое собствено притежание, защото Мой е целият свят;

6 a nd ye -- ye are to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation: these the words which thou dost speak unto the sons of Israel.'

и вие ще Ми бъдете царство от свещеници и свят народ. Тези са думите, които трябва да кажеш на израелтяните.

7 A nd Moses cometh, and calleth for the elders of the people, and setteth before them all these words which Jehovah hath commanded him;

И така, Моисей дойде и повика старейшините на народа, и представи пред тях всички тези наредби, които Господ му заповяда.

8 a nd all the people answer together and say, `All that Jehovah hath spoken we do;' and Moses returneth the words of the people unto Jehovah.

А целият народ отговори едногласно: Всичко, което Господ е казал, ще направим. И Моисей предаде на Господа отговора на народа.

9 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Lo, I am coming unto thee in the thickness of the cloud, so that the people hear in My speaking with thee, and also believe in thee to the age;' and Moses declareth the words of the people unto Jehovah.

Тогава Господ каза на Моисей: Ето, Аз ида при тебе в гъст облак, за да чуе народът, когато говоря с теб, и да ти вярват вече завинаги. И като предаде Моисей на Господа думите на народа,

10 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go unto the people; and thou hast sanctified them to-day and to-morrow, and they have washed their garments,

Господ каза още на Моисей: Иди при народа, освети го днес и утре и нека изперат дрехите си;

11 a nd have been prepared for the third day; for on the third day doth Jehovah come down before the eyes of all the people, on mount Sinai.

и нека бъдат готови за третия ден, защото на третия ден Господ ще слезе на Синайската планина пред очите на целия народ.

12 ` And thou hast made a border the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, going up into the mount, or coming against its extremity; whoever is coming against the mount is certainly put to death;

И да поставиш прегради наоколо за народа и да кажеш: Внимавайте да не се качите на планината, нито да се допрете до полите ѝ; който се допре до планината, непременно ще бъде умъртвен;

13 a hand cometh not against him, for he is certainly stoned or shot through, whether beast or man it liveth not; in the drawing out of the jubilee cornet they go up into the mount.'

обаче ръка да не се допре до него, а той да бъде убит с камъни или със стрели - било то животно или човек, който се допре, да не остане жив. Когато тръбата затръби продължително, тогава нека се приближат до планината.

14 A nd Moses cometh down from the mount unto the people, and sanctifieth the people, and they wash their garments;

И така, Моисей слезе от планината при народа и освети народа; а те изпраха дрехите си.

15 a nd he saith unto the people, `Be ye prepared for the third day, come not nigh unto a woman.'

Той каза на народа: Бъдете готови за третия ден; не се приближавайте до жена.

16 A nd it cometh to pass, on the third day, while it is morning, that there are voices, and lightnings, and a heavy cloud, on the mount, and the sound of a trumpet very strong; and all the people who in the camp do tremble.

А сутринта на третия ден имаше гръм и светкавици, и гъст облак на планината, и много силен тръбен глас; и целият народ, който беше в стана, потрепери.

17 A nd Moses bringeth out the people to meet God from the camp, and they station themselves at the lower part of the mount,

Тогава Моисей изведе народа от стана, за да посрещнат Бога; и застанаха под планината.

18 a nd mount Sinai wholly a smoke from the presence of Jehovah, who hath come down on it in fire, and its smoke goeth up as smoke of the furnace, and the whole mount trembleth exceedingly;

А Синайската планина беше цялата в дим, защото Господ слезе в огън на нея; и димът ѝ се вдигаше като дим от пещ и цялата планина се тресеше силно.

19 a nd the sound of the trumpet is going on, and very strong; Moses speaketh, and God doth answer him with a voice.

И когато тръбният глас се усилваше, Моисей извика и Бог му отговори с глас.

20 A nd Jehovah cometh down on mount Sinai, unto the top of the mount, and Jehovah calleth for Moses unto the top of the mount, and Moses goeth up.

Господ слезе на върха на Синайската планина. И Господ повика Моисей до върха на планината; и Моисей се изкачи.

21 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go down, protest to the people, lest they break through unto Jehovah to see, and many of them have fallen;

Тогава Господ каза на Моисей: Слез, заповядай на народа да не се втурнат нагоре към Господа, за да гледат, да не би да паднат мнозина от тях.

22 a nd also the priests who are coming nigh unto Jehovah do sanctify themselves, lest Jehovah break forth on them.'

Така и свещениците, които се приближават при Господа, нека се осветят, за да не ги порази Господ.

23 A nd Moses saith unto Jehovah, `The people unable to come up unto mount Sinai, for Thou -- Thou hast protested to us, saying, Make a border the mount, then thou hast sanctified it.'

А Моисей отговори на Господа: Народът не може да се изкачи на Синайската планина, защото Ти си ни заповядал: Постави прегради около планината и я освети.

24 A nd Jehovah saith unto him, `Go, descend, then thou hast come up, thou, and Aaron with thee; and the priests and the people do not break through, to come up unto Jehovah, lest He break forth upon them.'

Но Господ му каза: Иди, слез, после да се изкачиш ти и Аарон с теб; а свещениците и народът да не се втурнат нагоре и да не се качват към Господа, за да не ги порази Той.

25 A nd Moses goeth down unto the people, and saith unto them: --

И така, Моисей слезе при народа и им каза това.
