1 A son of twenty and five years Jotham in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Jerushah daughter of Zadok.

Йотам беше на възраст двадесет и пет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ шестнадесет години в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Еруса, Садокова дъщеря.

2 A nd he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Uzziah his father did; only, he hath not come in unto the temple of Jehovah; and again are the people doing corruptly.

Той вършѝ това, което е право пред Господа, съвсем както беше направил баща му Озия; обаче не влезе в Господния храм. Но народът все още се покваряваше.

3 H e hath built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah, and in the wall of Ophel he hath built abundantly;

Той построи горната порта на Господния дом и съгради много върху стената на Офил.

4 a nd cities he hath built in the hill-country of Judah, and in the forests he hath built palaces and towers.

Съгради още и градове в хълмистата страна на Юдея и в дъбравите съгради крепости и кули.

5 A nd he hath fought with the king of the sons of Ammon, and prevaileth over them, and the sons of Ammon give to him in that year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cors of wheat, and of barley ten thousand; this have the sons of Ammon returned to him both in the second year, and in the third.

И като воюва̀ против царя на амонците, надделя над тях; и в същата година амонците му дадоха сто таланта сребро, десет хиляда кора жито и десет хиляди кора ечемик. Толкова му платиха амонците и втората, и третата година.

6 A nd Jotham doth strengthen himself, for he hath prepared his ways before Jehovah his God.

Така Йотам стана силен, понеже оправяше пътищата си пред Господа, своя Бог.

7 A nd the rest of the matters of Jotham, and all his battles, and his ways, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

А останалите дела на Йотам и всичките му войни, и постъпките му са записани в Книгата на Израелевите и Юдейските царе.

8 A son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;

Той беше на двадесет и пет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ шестнадесет години в Йерусалим.

9 a nd Jotham lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David, and reign doth Ahaz his son in his stead.

Йотам заспа с бащите си и го погребаха в Давидовия град; и вместо него се възцари синът му Ахаз.
