1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the coming in of David and his men to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites have pushed unto the south, and unto Ziklag, and smite Ziklag, and burn it with fire,

И когато на третия ден Давид и мъжете му влязоха в Сиклаг, амаличаните бяха нападнали южната страна и Сиклаг и го бяха опустошили и опожарили.

2 a nd they take captive the women who in it; from small unto great they have not put any one to death, and they lead away, and go on their way.

Бяха пленили и жените, които се намираха в него. Не бяха убили никого - нито малък, нито голям, но ги бяха откарали със себе си и си бяха отишли.

3 A nd David cometh in -- and his men -- unto the city, and lo, burnt with fire, and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters have been taken captive!

А когато Давид и мъжете му пристигнаха в града, видяха, че беше изгорен с огън и жените им, синовете им и дъщерите им бяха пленени.

4 A nd David lifteth up -- and the people who with him -- their voice and weep, till that they have no power to weep.

Тогава Давид и хората, които бяха с него, плакаха със силен глас, докато не им остана вече сила да плачат.

5 A nd the two wives of David have been taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail wife of Nabal the Carmelite;

Също и двете Давидови жени бяха пленени - езраелката Ахиноам и Авигея, бившата жена на кармилеца Навал.

6 a nd David hath great distress, for the people have said to stone him, for the soul of all the people hath been bitter, each for his sons and for his daughters; and David doth strengthen himself in Jehovah his God.

И Давид се наскърби много, защото народът се наговаряше да го убият с камъни, понеже душата на всички хора беше преогорчена, всеки за синовете си и дъщерите си. А Давид се укрепи в Господа, своя Бог.

7 A nd David saith unto Abiathar the priest, son of Ahimelech, `Bring nigh, I pray thee, to me the ephod;' and Abiathar bringeth nigh the ephod unto David,

Тогава Давид каза на свещеника Авиатар, Ахимелеховия син: Донеси ми тук ефода. И Авиатар донесе ефода при Давид.

8 a nd David asketh at Jehovah, saying, `I pursue after this troop -- do I overtake it?' And He saith to him, `Pursue, for thou dost certainly overtake, and dost certainly deliver.'

И Давид се допита до Господа: Да преследвам ли тази дружина? Ще ги стигна ли? А Той му отговори: Преследвай ги, защото със сигурност ще ги стигнеш и непременно ще вземеш всичко.

9 A nd David goeth on, he and six hundred men who with him, and they come in unto the brook of Besor, and those left have stood still,

Тогава Давид тръгна с шестстотинте мъже, които бяха с него, и стигнаха до потока Восор, където се спряха изостаналите назад;

10 a nd David pursueth, he and four hundred men, (and two hundred men stand still who have been too faint to pass over the brook of Besor),

понеже назад останаха двеста души, които бяха дотолкова уморени, че не можеха да преминат потока Восор. А Давид и четиристотин мъже продължиха преследването

11 a nd they find a man, an Egyptian, in the field, and take him unto David, and give to him bread, and he eateth, and they cause him to drink water,

и на полето намериха един египтянин, когото доведоха при Давид; и му дадоха хляб да яде и го напоиха с вода,

12 a nd give to him a piece of a bunch of dried figs, and two bunches of raisins, and he eateth, and his spirit returneth unto him, for he hath not eaten bread nor drunk water three days and three nights.

дадоха му и част от наниз смокини и два грозда сухо грозде. И след като той се нахрани, духът му се върна в него, защото три дни и три нощи не беше ял хляб, нито беше пил вода.

13 A nd David saith to him, `Whose thou? and whence thou?' And he saith, `An Egyptian youth I, servant to a man, an Amalekite, and my lord forsaketh me, for I have been sick three days,

Давид го попита: Кой си ти и от къде си? И той отвърна: Аз съм млад египтянин, слуга на един амаличанин. Господарят ми ме остави, понеже се разболях преди три дни.

14 w e pushed the south of the Cherethite, and against that which to Judah, and against the south of Caleb, and Ziklag we burned with fire.'

Ние нападнахме южната земя на херетците и Юдовите земи, и южната земя на Халев, и опожарихме Сиклаг.

15 A nd David saith unto him, `Dost thou bring me down unto this troop?' and he saith, `Swear to me by God -- thou dost not put me to death, nor dost thou shut me up into the hand of my lord -- and I bring thee down unto this troop.'

Тогава Давид му каза: Ще ме отведеш ли при тази дружина? А той отговори: Закълни ми се в Бога, че няма да ме убиеш, нито ще ме предадеш в ръката на господаря ми, и ще те заведа при тях.

16 A nd he bringeth him down, and lo, they are spread out over the face of all the earth, eating, and drinking, and feasting, with all the great spoil which they have taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

И когато ги заведе, те видяха, че амаличаните бяха разпръснати по цялата местност и ядяха, пиеха и се веселяха поради цялата плячка, която бяха взели от филистимската земя и от Юдовата земя.

17 A nd David smiteth them from the twilight even unto the evening of the morrow, and there hath not escaped of them a man, except four hundred young men who have ridden on the camels, and are fled.

И Давид ги поразяваше от зазоряване чак до вечерта на другия ден, така че нито един от тях не се избави, освен четиристотин момци, които се качиха на камили и побегнаха.

18 A nd David delivereth all that the Amalekites have taken; also his two wives hath David delivered.

Така Давид си върна всичко, което бяха взели амаличаните; също и двете си жени отърва Давид.

19 A nd there hath not lacked to them, from small unto great, and unto sons and daughters, and from the spoil, even unto all that they had taken to themselves, the whole hath David brought back,

Нищо не беше изгубено: нито малко, нито голямо, нито синове, нито дъщери, нито плячка, нито каквото и да било нещо, което бяха заграбили от тях; Давид върна всичко.

20 a nd David taketh the whole of the flock, and of the herd, they have led on before these cattle, and they say, `This David's spoil.'

Също Давид взе всичките овце и говеда; и като караха това стадо пред него, казваха: Това е Давидовата плячка.

21 A nd David cometh in unto the two hundred men who were too faint to go after David, and whom they cause to abide at the brook of Besor, and they go out to meet David, and to meet the people who with him, and David approacheth the people, and asketh of them of welfare.

И когато Давид дойде при двестате мъже, които бяха толкова уморени, че не можаха да следват Давид, и които бяха останали при потока Восор, те излязоха да посрещнат Давид и хората, които бяха с него; и когато Давид се приближи към народа, го поздрави.

22 A nd every bad and worthless man, of the men who have gone with David, answereth, yea, they say, `Because that they have not gone with us we do not give to them of the spoil which we have delivered, except each his wife and his children, and they lead away and go.

А всички негодници и лоши мъже между тези, които бяха ходили с Давид, казаха: Понеже тези не дойдоха с нас, няма да им дадем от плячката, която взехме, освен на всеки жена му и децата му - тях нека вземат и да си отидат.

23 A nd David saith, `Ye do not do so, my brethren, with that which Jehovah hath given to us, and He doth preserve us, and doth give the troop which cometh against us into our hand;

Но Давид каза: Не бива да постъпвате така, братя мои, с онези неща, които ни даде Господ, Който ни опази и предаде в ръката ни нападателите, които бяха дошли против нас.

24 a nd who doth hearken to you in this thing? for as the portion of him who was brought down into battle, so also the portion of him who is abiding by the vessels -- alike they share.'

И кой би послушал вашите думи? Какъвто е делът на участвуващия в боя, такъв ще бъде делът и на седящия при вещите. По равно ще се дели плячката между тях.

25 A nd it cometh to pass from that day and forward, that he appointeth it for a statute and for an ordinance for Israel unto this day.

И така ставаше от онзи ден и нататък. Давид направи това наредба и закон в Израел, както е и до днес.

26 A nd David cometh in unto Ziklag, and sendeth of the spoil to the elders of Judah, to his friends, (saying, `Lo, for you a blessing, of the spoil of the enemies of Jehovah),'

А когато Давид дойде в Сиклаг, изпрати от тази плячка на Юдовите старейшини, на приятелите си, и каза: Ето ви подарък от плячката, взета от Господните врагове.

27 t o those in Beth-El, and to those in South Ramoth, and to those in Jattir,

Изпрати на онези, които живееха във Ветил, на хората в южния Рамот, на хората в Ятир,

28 a nd to those in Aroer, and to those in Siphmoth, and to those in Eshtemoa,

на хората в Ароир, на хората в Сифмот, на хората в Естемо,

29 a nd to those in Rachal, and to those in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, and to those in the cities of the Kenites,

на хората в Рахал, на хората в градовете на ерамеилците, на хората в градовете на кенейците,

30 a nd to those in Hormah, and to those in Chor-Ashan, and to those in Athach,

на хората в Хорма, на хората в Хорасан, на хората в Атах,

31 a nd to those in Hebron, and to all the places where David had gone up and down, he and his men.

на хората в Хеврон и на хората във всичките места, където Давид и мъжете му ходеха.
