1 A fter these things Jesus went away beyond the sea of Galilee (of Tiberias),

След това Исус отиде на отсрещната страна на Галилейското, т. е. Тивериадското езеро.

2 a nd there was following him a great multitude, because they were seeing his signs that he was doing on the ailing;

И след Него вървеше едно голямо множество, защото гледаха знаменията, които вършеше с болните.

3 a nd Jesus went up to the mount, and he was there sitting with his disciples,

И Исус се изкачи на хълма и там седеше с учениците Си.

4 a nd the passover was nigh, the feast of the Jews.

А наближаваше юдейският празник Пасха.

5 J esus then having lifted up eyes and having seen that a great multitude doth come to him, saith unto Philip, `Whence shall we buy loaves, that these may eat?' --

Исус, като вдигна очи и видя, че към Него идва голямо множество, каза на Филип: Откъде да купим хляб да ядат тези хора ?

6 a nd this he said, trying him, for he himself had known what he was about to do.

(А каза това, за да го изпита; защото Той самият знаеше какво ще направи.)

7 P hilip answered him, `Two hundred denaries' worth of loaves are not sufficient to them, that each of them may receive some little;'

Филип Му отговори: За двеста динария хляб няма да им стигне, за да вземе всеки по малко.

8 o ne of his disciples -- Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter -- saith to him,

Един от учениците Му, Андрей, брат на Симон Петър, Му каза:

9 ` There is one little lad here who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes, but these -- what are they to so many?'

Тук има едно момче, което има пет ечемичени хляба и две риби; но какво са те за толкова хора.

10 A nd Jesus said, `Make the men to sit down;' and there was much grass in the place, the men then sat down, in number, as it were, five thousand,

Исус каза: Накарайте хората да насядат. А на това място имаше много трева; и така, насядаха около пет хиляди мъже на брой.

11 a nd Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining, in like manner, also of the little fishes as much as they wished.

И така, Исус взе хлябовете и като благодари, раздаде ги на седналите; така и от рибите, колкото искаха.

12 A nd when they were filled, he saith to his disciples, `Gather together the broken pieces that are over, that nothing may be lost;'

И като се наситиха, каза на учениците Си: Съберете останалите къшеи, за да не се изгуби нищо.

13 t hey gathered together, therefore, and filled twelve hand-baskets with broken pieces, from the five barley loaves that were over to those having eaten.

И така от петте ечемичени хляба събраха и напълниха дванадесет коша с къшеи, останали от тези, които бяха яли.

14 T he men, then, having seen the sign that Jesus did, said -- `This is truly the Prophet, who is coming to the world;'

Тогава хората, като видяха знамението, което Той извърши, казаха: Наистина, Този е пророкът, Който трябва да дойде на света.

15 J esus, therefore, having known that they are about to come, and to take him by force that they may make him king, retired again to the mountain himself alone.

И така, Исус, като разбра, че ще дойдат да Го вземат насила, за да Го направят цар, пак се оттегли сам на хълма. Исус Христос ходи по водата

16 A nd when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,

А когато се свечери, учениците Му слязоха до езерото

17 a nd having entered into the boat, they were going over the sea to Capernaum, and darkness had already come, and Jesus had not come unto them,

и влязоха в ладия, и отплаваха към другата страна на езерото в Капернаум. И вече се беше стъмнило, а Исус още не беше дошъл при тях;

18 t he sea also -- a great wind blowing -- was being raised,

и езерото се вълнуваше, понеже духаше силен вятър.

19 h aving pushed onwards, therefore, about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and coming nigh to the boat, and they were afraid;

И като бяха гребали около двадесет и пет или тридесет стадии, видяха, че Исус ходи по езерото и се приближава към ладията; и се уплашиха.

20 a nd he saith to them, `I am, be not afraid;'

Но Той им каза: Аз съм; не бойте се!

21 t hey were willing then to receive him into the boat, and immediately the boat came unto the land to which they were going.

Затова бяха готови да Го вземат в ладията; и веднага ладията се озова при сушата, към която отиваха. Исус Христос - хлябът на живота

22 O n the morrow, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little boat there except one -- that into which his disciples entered -- and that Jesus went not in with his disciples into the little boat, but his disciples went away alone,

На другия ден множеството, което стоеше от другата страна на езерото, като видя, че има само една ладия и че Исус не беше влязъл с учениците Си в ладията, а че учениците Му бяха тръгнали сами,

23 ( and other little boats came from Tiberias, nigh the place where they did eat the bread, the Lord having given thanks),

обаче други лодки бяха дошли от Тивериада близо до мястото, където бяха яли хляба, след като Господ бе благодарил,

24 w hen therefore the multitude saw that Jesus is not there, nor his disciples, they also themselves did enter into the boats, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus;

и така, множеството хора, като видя, че нито Исус, нито учениците Му са там, те сами влязоха в ладиите и дойдоха в Капернаум, и търсеха Исус.

25 a nd having found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, `Rabbi, when hast thou come hither?'

И като Го намериха от другата страна на езерото, Му казаха: Учителю, кога си дошъл тук?

26 J esus answered them and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were satisfied;

Исус им отговори: Истина, истина ви казвам: Търсите Ме, не защото видяхте знамения, а защото ядохте от хлябовете и се наситихте.

27 w ork not for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to life age-during, which the Son of Man will give to you, for him did the Father seal -- God.'

Работете не за храна, която се разваля, а за храна, която трае за вечен живот, която Човешкият Син ще ви даде; защото Бог Отец Него е потвърдил с печата Си.

28 T hey said therefore unto him, `What may we do that we may work the works of God?'

Затова те Му казаха: Какво да направим, за да вършим Божиите дела?

29 J esus answered and said to them, `This is the work of God, that ye may believe in him whom He did send.'

Исус им отговори: Това е Божието дело - да повярвате в Този, Когото Той е изпратил.

30 T hey said therefore to him, `What sign, then, dost thou, that we may see and may believe thee? what dost thou work?

Тогава Му казаха: Че Ти какво знамение правиш, за да видим и да Ти повярваме? Какво вършиш?

31 o ur fathers the manna did eat in the wilderness, according as it is having been written, Bread out of the heaven He gave them to eat.'

Бащите ни са яли манната в пустинята, както е писано: "Хляб от небето им даде да ядат."

32 J esus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread out of the heaven; but my Father doth give you the true bread out of the heaven;

На това Исус им каза: Истина, истина ви казвам - не Моисей ви даде хляба от небето, а Моят Отец ви дава истинския хляб от небето.

33 f or the bread of God is that which is coming down out of the heaven, and giving life to the world.'

Защото Божият хляб е хлябът, който слиза от небето и дава живот на света.

34 T hey said, therefore, unto him, `Sir, always give us this bread.'

Тогава те Му казаха: Господи, давай ни винаги този хляб.

35 A nd Jesus said to them, `I am the bread of the life; he who is coming unto me may not hunger, and he who is believing in me may not thirst -- at any time;

Исус им отговори: Аз съм хлябът на живота; който дойде при Мене, никога няма да огладнее, и който вярва в Мене, никога няма да ожаднее.

36 b ut I said to you, that ye also have seen me, and ye believe not;

Но ви казвам, че вие Ме видяхте и пак не вярвате.

37 a ll that the Father doth give to me will come unto me; and him who is coming unto me, I may in no wise cast without,

Всичко, което Ми дава Отец, ще дойде при Мен, и който дойде при Мене, никак няма да го изгоня;

38 b ecause I have come down out of the heaven, not that I may do my will, but the will of Him who sent me.

защото слязох от небето не Моята воля да върша, а волята на Този, Който Ме е изпратил.

39 ` And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I may not lose of it, but may raise it up in the last day;

И ето волята на Този, Който Ме е пратил: от всичко, което Ми е дал, да не изгубя нищо, но да го възкреся в последния ден.

40 a nd this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.'

Защото това е волята на Моя Отец: всеки, който види Сина и повярва в Него, да има вечен живот и Аз да го възкреся в последния ден.

41 T he Jews, therefore, were murmuring at him, because he said, `I am the bread that came down out of the heaven;'

Тогава юдеите роптаеха против Него, защото каза: Аз съм хлябът, който е слязъл от небето.

42 a nd they said, `Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? how then saith this one -- Out of the heaven I have come down?'

И попитаха: Не е ли този Исус, Йосифовият син, Чиито баща и майка ние познаваме? Как казва Той сега: Аз съм слязъл от небето?

43 J esus answered, therefore, and said to them, `Murmur not one with another;

Исус им отговори: Не роптайте помежду си.

44 n o one is able to come unto me, if the Father who sent me may not draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day;

Никой не може да дойде при Мен, ако не го привлече Отец, Който Ме е пратил, и Аз ще го възкреся в последния ден.

45 i t is having been written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God; every one therefore who heard from the Father, and learned, cometh to me;

Писано е в пророците: "Всички ще бъдат научени от Бога." Всеки, който е чул от Отца и се е научил, идва при Мене.

46 n ot that any one hath seen the Father, except he who is from God, he hath seen the Father.

Не че някой е видял Отца освен Онзи, Който е от Бога. Той е видял Отца.

47 ` Verily, verily, I say to you, He who is believing in me, hath life age-during;

Истина, истина ви казвам: Който вярва в Мен, има вечен живот.

48 I am the bread of the life;

Аз съм хлябът на живота.

49 y our fathers did eat the manna in the wilderness, and they died;

Бащите ви ядоха манната в пустинята и въпреки това умряха.

50 t his is the bread that out of the heaven is coming down, that any one may eat of it, and not die.

Този е хлябът, който слиза от небето, за да яде някой от него и да не умре.

51 ` I am the living bread that came down out of the heaven; if any one may eat of this bread he shall live -- to the age; and the bread also that I will give is my flesh, that I will give for the life of the world.'

Аз съм живият хляб, който е слязъл от небето. Ако яде някой от този хляб, ще живее до века; да! И хлябът, който Аз ще дам, е Моята плът, която Аз ще дам за живота на света.

52 T he Jews, therefore, were striving with one another, saying, `How is this one able to give us flesh to eat?'

Тогава юдеите взеха да се препират помежду си и да казват: Как може Този да ни даде да ядем плътта Му?

53 J esus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, If ye may not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and may not drink his blood, ye have no life in yourselves;

Затова Исус им каза: Истина, истина ви казвам: Ако не ядете плътта на Човешкия Син и не пиете кръвта Му, нямате живот в себе си.

54 h e who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, hath life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day;

Който се храни с плътта Ми и пие кръвта Ми, има вечен живот; и Аз ще го възкреся в последния ден.

55 f or my flesh truly is food, and my blood truly is drink;

Защото Моята плът е истинска храна и Моята кръв е истинско питие.

56 h e who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, doth remain in me, and I in him.

Който се храни с Моята плът и пие Моята кръв, той пребъдва в Мен и Аз в него.

57 ` According as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, he also who is eating me, even that one shall live because of me;

Както живият Отец Ме е пратил и Аз живея чрез Отца, така и онзи, който се храни с Мене, ще живее чрез Мене.

58 t his is the bread that came down out of the heaven; not as your fathers did eat the manna, and died; he who is eating this bread shall live -- to the age.'

Този е хлябът, който слезе от небето; онзи, който се храни с този хляб, ще живее до века, а не както бащите ви ядоха и после измряха.

59 T hese things he said in a synagogue, teaching in Capernaum;

Това каза Исус в синагогата, като поучаваше в Капернаум.

60 m any, therefore, of his disciples having heard, said, `This word is hard; who is able to hear it?'

И така, мнозина от учениците Му, като чуха това, казаха: Тежко е това учение; кой може да го слуша?

61 A nd Jesus having known in himself that his disciples are murmuring about this, said to them, `Doth this stumble you?

Но Исус, като знаеше в Себе Си, че учениците Му негодуват за това, ги попита: Това ли ви съблазнява?

62 i f then ye may behold the Son of Man going up where he was before?

Тогава какво ще кажете, ако видите Човешкия Син да отива там, където е бил преди?

63 t he spirit it is that is giving life; the flesh doth not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;

Духът е, който дава живот; плътта нищо не ползва; думите, които съм ви говорил, са дух и живот.

64 b ut there are certain of you who do not believe;' for Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who are not believing, and who is he who will deliver him up,

Но има някои от вас, които не вярват. Защото Исус отначало знаеше кои са невярващите и кой е този, който щеше да Го предаде.

65 a nd he said, `Because of this I have said to you -- No one is able to come unto me, if it may not have been given him from my Father.'

И прибави: Затова ви казах, че никой не може да дойде при Мен, ако не му е дадено от Отца.

66 F rom this many of his disciples went away backward, and were no more walking with him,

Поради това мнозина от учениците Му отстъпиха и не ходеха вече с Него. Изповедта на Петър

67 J esus, therefore, said to the twelve, `Do ye also wish to go away?'

Тогава Исус каза на дванадесетте: Да не искате и вие да си отидете?

68 S imon Peter, therefore, answered him, `Sir, unto whom shall we go? thou hast sayings of life age-during;

Симон Петър Му отговори: Господи, при кого да отидем? Ти имаш думи на вечен живот

69 a nd we have believed, and we have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.'

и ние вярваме и знаем, че Ти си Христос, Син на живия Бог, Святият Божий.

70 J esus answered them, `Did not I choose you -- the twelve? and of you -- one is a devil.

Исус им отговори: Нима не Аз избрах вас, дванадесетте? А, ето, един от вас е дявол.

71 A nd he spake of Judas, Simon's, Iscariot, for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.

А Той говореше за Юда Симонов Искариотски; защото той, един от дванадесетте, щеше да Го предаде.
