1 A nd it cometh to pass that Isaac aged, and his eyes are too dim for seeing, and he calleth Esau his elder son, and saith unto him, `My son;' and he saith unto him, `Here I.'

Когато Исаак остаря и очите му отслабнаха, и не можеше да вижда, повика по-големия си син Исав и му каза: Синко. А той му отговори: Ето ме.

2 A nd he saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have become aged, I have not known the day of my death;

3 a nd now, take up, I pray thee, thy instruments, thy quiver, and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt for me provision,

и така, вземи още сега оръжията си, колчана си и лъка си, излез на полето и ми улови дивеч,

4 a nd make for me tasteful things, as I have loved, and bring in to me, and I do eat, so that my soul doth bless thee before I die.'

и ми сготви вкусно ястие, каквото аз обичам, и ми донеси да ям, за да те благослови душата ми, преди да умра.

5 A nd Rebekah is hearkening while Isaac is speaking unto Esau his son; and Esau goeth to the field to hunt provision -- to bring in;

А Ревека чу, когато Исаак говореше на сина си Исав. И Исав отиде на полето да улови дивеч и да го донесе.

6 a nd Rebekah hath spoken unto Jacob her son, saying, `Lo, I have heard thy father speaking unto Esau thy brother, saying,

Тогава Ревека каза на сина си Яков: Виж, аз чух баща ти да говори на брат ти с тези думи:

7 B ring for me provision, and make for me tasteful things, and I do eat, and bless thee before Jehovah before my death.

Донеси ми дивеч и ми сготви вкусно ястие, за да ям и да те благословя пред Господа, преди да умра.

8 ` And now, my son, hearken to my voice, to that which I am commanding thee:

И така, сега, синко, каквото ти поръчам, послушай думите ми.

9 G o, I pray thee, unto the flock, and take for me from thence two good kids of the goats, and I make them tasteful things for thy father, as he hath loved;

Иди още сега при стадото и ми донеси оттам две добри ярета, и аз ще сготвя вкусно ястие за баща ти, каквото той обича;

10 a nd thou hast taken in to thy father, and he hath eaten, so that his soul doth bless thee before his death.

и ти ще го принесеш на баща си да яде, за да те благослови, преди да умре.

11 A nd Jacob saith unto Rebekah his mother, `Lo, Esau my brother a hairy man, and I a smooth man,

Но Яков каза на майка си Ревека: Виж, брат ми Исав е космат, а аз съм с гладка кожа.

12 i t may be my father doth feel me, and I have been in his eyes as a deceiver, and have brought upon me disesteem, and not a blessing;'

Може би ще ме попипа баща ми и аз ще се окажа пред него измамник, и ще навлека на себе си проклятие, а не благословение.

13 a nd his mother saith to him, `On me thy disesteem, my son; only hearken to my voice, and go, take for me.'

А майка му каза: Нека твоето проклятие падне върху мене, синко; само послушай думите ми и иди и ми ги донеси.

14 A nd he goeth, and taketh, and bringeth to his mother, and his mother maketh tasteful things, as his father hath loved;

И така, той отиде, взе ги и ги донесе на майка си; и майка му сготви вкусно ястие, каквото баща му обичаше.

15 a nd Rebekah taketh the desirable garments of Esau her elder son, which with her in the house, and doth put on Jacob her younger son;

После Ревека взе по-добрите дрехи на по-стария си син Исав, които се намираха вкъщи при нея, и с тях облече по-младия си син Яков.

16 a nd the skins of the kids of the goats she hath put on his hands, and on the smooth of his neck,

17 a nd she giveth the tasteful things, and the bread which she hath made, into the hand of Jacob her son.

Тогава даде в ръцете на сина си Яков вкусното ястие и хляба, който беше приготвила.

18 A nd he cometh in unto his father, and saith, `My father;' and he saith, `Here I; who thou, my son?'

И така, той отиде при баща си и каза: Татко. А Исаак отговори: Ето ме; кой си ти, синко?

19 A nd Jacob saith unto his father, `I Esau thy first-born; I have done as thou hast spoken unto me; rise, I pray thee, sit, and eat of my provision, so that thy soul doth bless me.'

Яков каза на баща си: Аз съм първородният ти Исав; направих каквото ми поръча; стани, моля ти се, седни и яж от дивеча ми, за да ме благослови душата ти.

20 A nd Isaac saith unto his son, `What this thou hast hasted to find, my son?' and he saith, `That which Jehovah thy God hath caused to come before me.'

Но Исак попита на сина си: Как стана, синко, че го намери толкова скоро? А той отвърна: Защото Господ, твоят Бог, ми даде добър успех.

21 A nd Isaac saith unto Jacob, `Come nigh, I pray thee, and I feel thee, my son, whether thou he, my son Esau, or not.'

Тогава Исаак каза на Яков: Моля, синко, приближи се, за да те попипам дали си същият ми син Исав, или не.

22 A nd Jacob cometh nigh unto Isaac his father, and he feeleth him, and saith, `The voice the voice of Jacob, and the hands hands of Esau.'

Яков се приближи към баща си Исаак; и той, като го попипа, каза: Гласът е глас Яковов, а ръцете са ръце Исавови.

23 A nd he hath not discerned him, for his hands have been hairy, as the hands of Esau his brother, and he blesseth him,

И не го позна, защото ръцете му бяха космати, както ръцете на брат му Исав; и го благослови.

24 a nd saith, `Thou art he -- my son Esau?' and he saith, `I.'

И каза: Ти ли си същият ми син Исав? А той отвърна: Аз.

25 A nd he saith, `Bring nigh to me, and I do eat of my son's provision, so that my soul doth bless thee;' and he bringeth nigh to him, and he eateth; and he bringeth to him wine, and he drinketh.

Тогава Исаак каза: Принеси ми и ще ям от лова на сина си, за да те благослови душата ми. И му принесе и яде; донесе му и вино и пи. Благословението на Яков

26 A nd Isaac his father saith to him, `Come nigh, I pray thee, and kiss me, my son;'

А баща му Исаак му каза: Приближи се сега и ме целуни, синко.

27 a nd he cometh nigh, and kisseth him, and he smelleth the fragrance of his garments, and blesseth him, and saith, `See, the fragrance of my son as the fragrance of a field which Jehovah hath blessed;

И той се приближи и го целуна; и Исаак помириса дъха на облеклото му и го благослови, като каза: Ето, дъхът на сина ми е като дъх на поле, което е благословил Господ.

28 a nd God doth give to thee of the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and abundance of corn and wine;

Бог да ти даде от росата на небето и от тлъстината на земята, и изобилие на жито и на вино.

29 p eoples serve thee, and nations bow themselves to thee, be thou mighty over thy brethren, and the sons of thy mother bow themselves to thee; those who curse thee cursed, and those who bless thee blessed.'

Племена да ти слугуват и народи да ти се покланят. Бъди господар на братята си; и да ти се покланят синовете на майка ти. Проклет всеки, който те кълне, и благословен всеки, който те благославя.

30 A nd it cometh to pass, as Isaac hath finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob is only just going out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother hath come in from his hunting;

Щом като Исаак свърши да благославя Яков и Яков току-що беше се разделил с баща си Исаак, дойде брат му Исав от лова си.

31 a nd he also maketh tasteful things, and bringeth to his father, and saith to his father, `Let my father arise, and eat of his son's provision, so that thy soul doth bless me.'

Също и той сготви вкусно ястие, принесе на баща си и му каза: Да стане баща ми и да яде от дивеча на сина си, за да ме благослови душата ти.

32 A nd Isaac his father saith to him, `Who thou?' and he saith, `I thy son, thy first-born, Esau;'

А баща му Исаак му каза: Кой си ти? И той отговори: Аз съм синът ти, първородният ти Исав.

33 a nd Isaac trembleth a very great trembling, and saith, `Who, now, he who hath provided provision, and bringeth in to me, and I eat of all before thou comest in, and I bless him? -- yea, blessed is he.'

Тогава Исаак се разтрепери твърде много и каза: А кой ще е онзи, който улови дивеч и ми принесе, и ядох от всичко, преди да дойдеш ти, и го благослових? - Да! И благословен ще бъде.

34 W hen Esau heareth the words of his father, then he crieth a very great and bitter cry, and saith to his father, `Bless me, me also, O my father;'

Когато Исав чу бащините си думи, извика със силен и жалостен вик и каза на баща си: Благослови и мене, татко.

35 a nd he saith, `Thy brother hath come with subtilty, and taketh thy blessing.'

А Исаак отвърна: Брат ти дойде с измама и взе твоето благословение.

36 A nd he saith, `Is it because called his name Jacob that he doth take me by the heel these two times? my birthright he hath taken; and lo, now, he hath taken my blessing;' he saith also, `Hast thou not kept back a blessing for me?'

Исав каза: Право са го нарекли Яков, защото сега втори път ме измести. Отне първородството ми и, ето, сега е отнел и благословението ми. И каза: Не си ли задържал за мене благословение?

37 A nd Isaac answereth and saith to Esau, `Lo, a mighty one have I set him over thee, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants, and corn and wine have I sustained him; and for thee now, what shall I do, my son?'

А Исаак отговори на Исав: Ето, поставих го господар над тебе, направих всичките му братя негови слуги и го надарих с жито и вино; и така, какво да направя за тебе, синко?

38 A nd Esau saith unto his father, `One blessing hast thou my father? bless me, me also, O my father;' and Esau lifteth up his voice, and weepeth.

И Исав отвърна на баща си: Само едно ли благословение имаш, татко? Благослови и мене, татко. И Исав плака с висок глас.

39 A nd Isaac his father answereth and saith unto him, `Lo, of the fatness of the earth is thy dwelling, and of the dew of the heavens from above;

Тогава баща му Исаак в отговор му каза: Ето, твоето желание ще бъде в тлъстите места на земята, наросявани от небето горе.

40 a nd by thy sword dost thou live, and thy brother dost thou serve; and it hath come to pass when thou rulest, that thou hast broken his yoke from off thy neck.'

С меча си ще живееш, а на брат си ще слугуваш. Но когато въстанеш, ще строшиш ярема му от врата си. Омразата на Исав към Яков

41 A nd Esau hateth Jacob, because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau saith in his heart, `The days of mourning my father draw near, and I slay Jacob my brother.'

И Исав мразеше Яков поради благословението, с което баща му го благослови; Исав си каза: Скоро ще настанат дните, когато ще оплакваме баща си, тогава ще убия брат си Яков.

42 A nd the words of Esau her elder son are declared to Rebekah, and she sendeth and calleth for Jacob her younger son, and saith unto him, `Lo, Esau thy brother is comforting himself in regard to thee -- to slay thee;

Предадоха на Ревека думите на по-стария ѝ син Исав; затова тя прати да повикат по-младия ѝ син Яков и му каза: Виж, брат ти Исав се утешава относно тебе, че ще те убие.

43 a nd now, my son, hearken to my voice, and rise, flee for thyself unto Laban my brother, to Haran,

И така, сега, синко, послушай думите ми: стани и бягай при брат ми Лаван в Харан,

44 a nd thou hast dwelt with him some days, till thy brother's fury turn back,

и поживей при него известно време, докато премине яростта на брат ти,

45 t ill thy brother's anger turn back from thee, and he hath forgotten that which thou hast done to him, and I have sent and taken thee from thence; why am I bereaved even of you both the same day?'

докато премине от тебе гневът на брат ти и той забрави това, което си му сторил; тогава ще пратя да те доведат оттам. Защо да се лиша и от двама ви в един ден?

46 A nd Rebekah saith unto Isaac, `I have been disgusted with my life because of the presence of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, like these -- from the daughters of the land -- why do I live?'

И Ревека каза на Исаак: Омръзна ми животът поради хетските дъщери. Ако Яков вземе жена от хетските дъщери, каквито са тези, от дъщерите на тази земя, защо живея?
