1 A nd Hiram king of Tyre sendeth his servants unto Solomon, for he heard that they had anointed him for king instead of his father, for Hiram was a lover of David all the days;

А тирският цар Хирам, като чу, че помазали Соломон за цар вместо баща му, прати слугите си при него; защото Хирам беше приятел на Давид през целия си живот.

2 a nd Solomon sendeth unto Hiram, saying,

И Соломон прати да кажат на Хирам:

3 ` Thou hast known David my father, that he hath not been able to build a house to the name of Jehovah his God, because of the wars that have been round about him, till Jehovah's putting them under the soles of his feet.

Ти знаеш, че баща ми Давид не можа да построи дом за името на Господа, своя Бог, по причина на боевете, които го заобикаляха отвсякъде, докато Господ не положи неприятелите му под стъпалата на краката му.

4 ` And now, Jehovah my God hath given rest to me round about, there is no adversary nor evil occurrence,

Но сега Господ, моят Бог, ми даде спокойствие отвсякъде. Нямам противник, нито проблеми.

5 a nd lo, I am saying to build a house to the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son whom I appoint in thy stead on thy throne, he doth build the house for My name.

Сега аз възнамерявам да построя дом за името на Господа, моя Бог, както Господ говори на баща ми Давид: Синът ти, когото ще поставя вместо тебе на престола ти, той ще построи дом за името Ми.

6 ` And now, command, and they cut down for me cedars out of Lebanon, and my servants are with thy servants, and the hire of thy servants I give to thee according to all that thou sayest, for thou hast known that there is not among us a man acquainted with cutting wood, like the Sidonians.'

И така, сега заповядай да ми насекат кедри от Ливан. Моите слуги ще бъдат заедно с твоите слуги. Ще дам заплата за слугите ти, каквото определиш. Защото ти знаеш, че между нас няма човек, който знае да сече дървета толкова изкусно, колкото сидонците.

7 A nd it cometh to pass at Hiram's hearing the words of Solomon, that he rejoiceth exceedingly, and saith, `Blessed Jehovah to-day, who hath given to David a wise son over this numerous people.'

Тогава Хирам, като чу Соломоновите думи, много се зарадва и каза: Благословен да бъде днес Господ, Който даде на Давид мъдър син да царува над този велик народ.

8 A nd Hiram sendeth unto Solomon, saying, I have heard that which thou hast sent unto me, I do all thy desire concerning cedar-wood, and fir-wood,

И Хирам прати до Соломон да кажат: Получих известието, което ти ми прати. Ще направя всичко, което искаш за кедровите дървета и за елховите дървета.

9 m y servants bring down from Lebanon to the sea, and I make them floats in the sea unto the place that thou sendest unto me, and I have spread them out there; and thou dost take up, and thou dost execute my desire, to give the food of my house.'

Моите слуги ще ги свалят от Ливан до морето, аз ще ги свържа на салове, за да се превозват по море до мястото, което би ми посочил, там да бъдат развързани и ти да ги прибереш. Също и ти ще направиш, каквото искам, за да продоволстваш моя дом.

10 A nd Hiram is giving to Solomon cedar-trees, and fir-trees, all his desire,

И така, Хирам даваше на Соломон кедрови дървета и елхови дървета, колкото той искаше.

11 a nd Solomon hath given to Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat, food for his house, and twenty cors of beaten oil; thus doth Solomon give to Hiram year by year.

А Соломон даде на Хирам двадесет хиляди кора пшеница за храна на дома му и двадесет кора първоток дървено масло. Това Соломон изпращаше на Хирам всяка година.

12 A nd Jehovah hath given wisdom to Solomon as He spake to him, and there is peace between Hiram and Solomon, and they make a covenant both of them.

Господ даде на Соломон мъдрост, както му беше обещал. И имаше мир между Хирам и Соломон. Те двамата сключиха договор помежду си.

13 A nd king Solomon lifteth up a tribute out of all Israel, and the tribute is thirty thousand men,

Цар Соломон наложи повинност на целия Израел и събраните мъже бяха тридесет хиляди души.

14 a nd he sendeth them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month, by changes, a month they are in Lebanon, two months in their own house; and Adoniram over the tribute.

Той ги изпращаше в Ливан на смени, по десет хиляди души на месец. Един месец бяха в Ливан и два месеца в домовете си; за техен началник постави Адонирам.

15 A nd king Solomon hath seventy thousand bearing burdens, and eighty thousand hewing in the mountain,

Соломон имаше и седемдесет хиляди носачи на товари и осемдесет хиляди каменоделци в планините,

16 a part from the heads of the officers of Solomon, who over the work, three thousand and three hundred, those ruling over the people who are working in the business.

освен трите хиляди и триста Соломонови управители, които ръководеха работата, надзираващи народа, който работеше тази работа.

17 A nd the king commandeth, and they bring great stones, precious stone, to lay the foundation of the house, hewn stones;

И съгласно царската заповед изкараха големи камъни, камъни с голяма стойност, за да положат основите на дома с дялани камъни.

18 a nd the builders of Solomon, and the builders of Hiram, and the Giblites hew, and prepare the wood and the stones to build the house.

Соломоновите зидари, Хирамовите зидари и гевалците ги издялаха и приготвиха дърветата и камъните, за да построят дома.
