1 A nd draw near do the days of David to die, and he chargeth Solomon his son, saying,

2 ` I am going in the way of all the earth, and thou hast been strong, and become a man,

Аз отивам по пътя на целия свят. Ти се крепи и бъди мъжествен.

3 a nd kept the charge of Jehovah thy God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commands, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that thou dost wisely all that thou dost, and whithersoever thou turnest,

Пази заръките на Господа, твоя Бог, ходи в пътищата Му и пази наредбите Му, заповедите Му, законите Му и свидетелствата Му, както е писано в Моисеевия закон, за да успяваш във всичко, каквото правиш, и накъдето и да се обръщаш;

4 s o that Jehovah doth establish His word which He spake unto me, saying, If thy sons observe their way to walk before Me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul; saying, There is not cut off a man of thine from the throne of Israel.

за да утвърди Господ думата, с която е говорил за мене, като е казал: Ако внимават синовете ти в пътя си, да ходят пред Мене в истина от цялото си сърце и от цялата си душа, няма да липсва от тебе мъж върху Израелевия престол.

5 ` And also, thou hast known that which he did to me -- Joab son of Zeruiah -- that which he did to two heads of the hosts of Israel, to Abner son of Ner, and to Amasa son of Jether -- that he slayeth them, and maketh the blood of war in peace, and putteth the blood of war in his girdle, that on his loins, and in his sandals that on his feet;

Освен това ти знаеш какво направи Йоав, Саруиният син, на двамата военачалници на Израелевите войски - на Авенир, Нировия син, и на Амаса, Етеровия син, които уби, като проля кръв в мирно време и обагри с кръв пояса, който беше около кръста му, и обувките, които бяха на краката му.

6 a nd thou hast done according to thy wisdom, and dost not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol.

Постъпвай според мъдростта си и не оставяй белите му коси да слязат с мир в гроба.

7 ` And to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite thou dost do kindness, and they have been among those eating at thy table, for so they drew near unto me in my fleeing from the face of Absalom thy brother.

Но покажи благост към синовете на галаадеца Верзелай и нека те бъдат между онези, които ядат на трапезата ти. Защото с храна те дойдоха при мене, когато бягах от брат ти Авесалом.

8 ` And lo, with thee Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, and he reviled me -- a grievous reviling -- in the day of my going to Mahanaim; and he hath come down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swear to him by Jehovah, saying, I do not put thee to death by the sword;

Ето, с теб е вениаминецът Семей, Гираевият син, от Ваурим, който ме прокле с горчива клетва в деня, когато отидох в Маханаим. Той обаче слезе да ме посрещне при Йордан и аз му се заклех в Господа: Няма да те убия с меч.

9 a nd now, acquit him not, for a wise man thou, and thou hast known that which thou dost to him, and hast brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.'

Сега не го смятай за невинен, защото си мъдър човек и знаеш какво трябва да му направиш, за да сведеш белите му коси с кръв в гроба.

10 A nd David lieth down with his fathers, and is buried in the city of David,

Така Давид заспа с бащите си и беше погребан в Давидовия град.

11 a nd the days that David hath reigned over Israel forty years, in Hebron he hath reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he hath reigned thirty and three years.

А времето, през което Давид царува̀ над Израел, беше четиридесет години. Седем години царува̀ в Хеврон и тридесет и три години - в Йерусалим. Начало на царуването на Соломон

12 A nd Solomon hath sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom is established greatly,

Соломон седна на престола на баща си Давид; и царството му се закрепи твърдо.

13 a nd Adonijah son of Haggith cometh in unto Bath-Sheba, mother of Solomon, and she saith, `Is thy coming peace?' and he saith, `Peace.'

Тогава Адония, Агитиният син, дойде пред Витсавее, Соломоновата майка. А тя попита: С мир ли идваш? И той отговори: С мир.

14 A nd he saith, `I have a word unto thee,' and she saith, `Speak.'

После Адония каза: Имам да ти кажа едно нещо. Тя отвърна: Казвай.

15 A nd he saith, `Thou hast known that the kingdom was mine, and towards me set their faces had all Israel for reigning, and the kingdom is turned round about, and is my brother's, for from Jehovah it was his;

Тогава той започна: Ти знаеш, че на мене принадлежеше царството и че към мене целият Израел беше обърнал лицето си с очакване да царувам. Царството обаче се отклони и се падна на брат ми, защото от Господа му дойде.

16 a nd now, one petition I am asking of thee -- turn not back my face;' and she saith unto him, `Speak.'

Сега имам една молба към тебе; не ми я отказвай. И тя му отговори: Казвай.

17 A nd he saith, `Speak, I pray thee, to Solomon the king, for he doth not turn back thy face, and he doth give to me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife.'

Адония проговори: Кажи, моля те, на цар Соломон (защото няма да ти откаже) да ми даде за жена сунамката Ависага.

18 A nd Bath-Sheba saith, `Good; I do speak for thee unto the king.'

А Витсавее каза: Добре; ще говоря за тебе на царя.

19 A nd Bath-Sheba cometh in unto king Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king riseth to meet her, and boweth himself to her, and sitteth on his throne, and placeth a throne for the mother of the king, and she sitteth at his right hand.

И така, Витсавее влезе при цар Соломон да му говори за Адония. Царят стана да я посрещне и ѝ се поклони; после, като седна на престола си, каза да положат престол и за царската майка; и тя седна отдясно му.

20 A nd she saith, `One small petition I ask of thee, turn not back my face;' and the king saith to her, `Ask, my mother, for I do not turn back thy face.'

Тогава тя каза: Една малка молба имам към тебе; не ми я отказвай. А царят ѝ отговори: Искай, майко моя, защото няма да ти откажа.

21 A nd she saith, `Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother for a wife.'

И тя каза: Нека сунамката Ависага бъде дадена на брат ти Адония за жена.

22 A nd king Solomon answereth and saith to his mother, `And why art thou asking Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? also ask for him the kingdom -- for he mine elder brother -- even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab son of Zeruiah.'

Но цар Соломон запита майка си: А защо искаш сунамката Ависага за Адония? Искай за него и царството (защото ми е по-голям брат); да! - за него, за свещеника Авиатар и за Йоав, Саруиния син.

23 A nd king Solomon sweareth by Jehovah, saying, `Thus doth God to me, and thus He doth add -- surely against his soul hath Adonijah spoken this word;

Тогава цар Соломон се закле в Господа: Така да ми направи Бог - да! - и повече да прибави, ако Адония не е изговорил тези думи против живота си.

24 a nd now, Jehovah liveth, who hath established me, and causeth me to sit on the throne of David my father, and who hath made for me an house as He spake -- surely to-day is Adonijah put to death.'

Сега се заклевам в живота на Господа, Който ме утвърди и ме постави да седна на престола на баща ми Давид и Който ми направи дом, както е обещал, днес Адония непременно ще бъде умъртвен.

25 A nd king Solomon sendeth by the hand of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he falleth upon him, and he dieth.

И така, цар Соломон прати Ванайя, Йодаевия син, да изпълни заповедта му, който нападна Адония и го уби.

26 A nd to Abiathar the priest said the king, `To Anathoth go, unto thy fields; for a man of death thou, but in this day I do not put thee to death, because thou hast borne the ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all that my father was afflicted in.'

А на свещеника Авиатар царят каза: Иди в Анатот, на нивите си. Въпреки че заслужаваш смърт, сега няма да те убия, понеже ти си носил ковчега на Господа Йехова пред баща ми Давид и понеже си изстрадал всичко, което е изстрадал и баща ми.

27 A nd Solomon casteth out Abiathar from being priest to Jehovah, to fulfil the word of Jehovah which He spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

Така Соломон отблъсна Авиатар да не бъде свещеник на Господа, за да се изпълни словото, което Господ беше говорил в Сило за Илиевия дом.

28 A nd the report hath come unto Joab -- for Joab hath turned aside after Adonijah, though after Absalom he did not turn aside -- and Joab fleeth unto the tent of Jehovah, and layeth hold on the horns of the altar.

А когато за това стигна слух до Йоав (защото Йоав поддържаше Адония, макар и да не беше на страната на Авесалом), Йоав побегна в Господния шатър и се хвана за роговете на жертвеника.

29 A nd it is declared to king Solomon that Joab hath fled unto the tent of Jehovah, and lo, near the altar; and Solomon sendeth Benaiah son of Jehoiada, saying, `Go, fall upon him.'

И известиха на цар Соломон: Йоав побегна в Господния шатър и е при жертвеника. Тогава Соломон прати Ванайя, Йодаевия син, като каза: Иди, нападни го.

30 A nd Benaiah cometh in unto the tent of Jehovah, and saith unto him, `Thus said the king, Come out;' and he saith, `Nay, but here I die.' And Benaiah bringeth back the king word, saying, `Thus spake Joab, yea, thus he answered me.'

И така, Ванайя отиде в Господния шатър и каза на Йоав: Така казва царят: Излез. А той отговори: Не, тук ще умра. И Ванайя извести на царя: Така каза Йоав и такъв отговор ми даде.

31 A nd the king saith to him, `Do as he hath spoken, and fall upon him, and thou hast buried him, and turned aside the causeless blood which Joab shed, from off me, and from off the house of my father;

А царят му каза: Направи, както е казал; нападни го и го погреби, за да изгладиш от мен и от бащиния ми дом невинната кръв, която Йоав е пролял.

32 a nd Jehovah hath turned back his blood on his own head, who hath fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and slayeth them with the sword, -- and my father David knew not -- Abner son of Ner, head of the host of Israel, and Amasa son of Jether, head of the host of Judah;

Господ ще възвърне проляната от него кръв на неговата глава, понеже той нападна двама мъже, по-праведни и по-добри от него, и ги уби с меч, без да знае баща ми Давид: Авенир, Нировия син, Израелевия военачалник, и Амаса, Етеровия син, Юдовия военачалник.

33 y ea, turned back hath their blood on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed to the age; and for David, and for his seed, and for his house, and for his throne, there is peace unto the age, from Jehovah.'

Така кръвта им ще се възвърне върху Йоавовата глава и върху главата на потомството му довека. А на Давид, на потомството му, на дома му и на престола му ще бъде мир от Господа довека.

34 A nd Benaiah son of Jehoiada goeth up and falleth upon him, and putteth him to death, and he is buried in his own house in the wilderness,

Тогава Ванайя, Йодаевият син, влезе, нападна го и го уби. И Йоав беше погребан у дома си в пустинята.

35 a nd the king putteth Benaiah son of Jehoiada in his stead over the host, and Zadok the priest hath the king put in the stead of Abiathar.

Вместо него царят постави свещеник Садок.

36 A nd the king sendeth and calleth for Shimei, and saith to him, `Build for thee a house in Jerusalem, and thou hast dwelt there, and dost not go out thence any where;

Тогава царят прати да повикат Семей и му каза: Построй си къща в Йерусалим и живей там, и не излизай оттам на никъде;

37 a nd it hath been, in the day of thy going out, and thou hast passed over the brook Kidron, thou dost certainly know that thou dost surely die -- thy blood is on thy head.'

защото бъди сигурен, че в деня, когато излезеш и преминеш потока Кедрон, непременно ще бъдеш убит и кръвта ти ще бъде на твоята глава.

38 A nd Shimei saith to the king, `The word good; as my lord the king hath spoken so doth thy servant do;' and Shimei dwelleth in Jerusalem many days.

Семей отвърна на царя: Добре. Както каза господарят ми, царят, така ще стори слугата ти. И Семей живя в Йерусалим дълго време.

39 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of three years, that flee do two of the servants of Shimei unto Achish son of Maachah, king of Gath, and they declare to Shimei, saying, `Lo, thy servants in Gath;'

След три години двама от Семеевите слуги побегнаха при гетския цар Анхус, Мааховия син. И известиха на Семей: Слугите ти са в Гет.

40 a nd Shimei riseth, and saddleth his ass, and goeth to Gath, unto Achish, to seek his servants, and Shimei goeth and bringeth his servants from Gath.

Тогава Семей стана, оседла осела си и отиде в Гет при Анхус, за да потърси слугите си. Така Семей отиде и доведе слугите си от Гет.

41 A nd it is declared to Solomon that Shimei hath gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and doth return,

Съобщиха на Соломон, че Семей ходил от Йерусалим в Гет и се върнал.

42 a nd the king sendeth and calleth for Shimei, and saith unto him, `Have I not caused thee to swear by Jehovah -- and I testify against thee, saying, In the day of thy going out, and thou hast gone anywhere, thou dost certainly know that thou dost surely die; and thou sayest unto me, The word I have heard good?

Тогава царят прати да повикат Семей и му каза: Не те ли заклех в Господа и не те ли предупредих, като ти казах: Бъди сигурен, че в деня, когато излезеш и отидеш извън града, където и да е, непременно ще умреш? И ти не ми ли отговори: Добра е думата, която чух?

43 a nd wherefore hast thou not kept the oath of Jehovah, and the charge that I charged upon thee?'

Защо не опази Господнята клетва и заповедта, която ти дадох?

44 A nd the king saith unto Shimei, `Thou hast known all the evil that thy heart hath known, which thou didest to David my father, and Jehovah hath turned back thine evil on thy head,

Царят каза още на Семей: Ти знаеш цялото зло, причинено на баща ми Давид, което се таи в сърцето ти. Затова Господ ще възвърне злото ти на твоята глава;

45 a nd king Solomon blessed, and the throne of David is established before Jehovah unto the age.'

а цар Соломон ще бъде благословен и Давидовият престол - утвърден пред Господа до века.

46 A nd the king chargeth Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he goeth out and falleth on him, and he dieth, and the kingdom is established in the hand of Solomon.

Тогава царят заповяда на Ванайя, Йодаевия син; и той излезе, нападна Семей и го уби. И царството се утвърди в Соломоновата ръка.
