1 ` There is not to the priests the Levites -- all the tribe of Levi -- a portion and inheritance with Israel; fire-offerings of Jehovah, even His inheritance, they eat,

2 a nd he hath no inheritance in the midst of his brethren; Jehovah Himself his inheritance, as He hath spoken to him.

Затова да нямат наследство между братята си; тяхното наследство е това, което им е казал Господ.

3 ` And this is the priest's right from the people, from those sacrificing a sacrifice, whether ox or sheep, he hath even given to the priest the leg, and the two cheeks, and the stomach;

Ето какво ще бъде правото на свещениците от народа, от онези, които принасят в жертва говедо или овца: да дават на свещеника плешката, челюстите и вътрешностите.

4 t he first of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy flock, thou dost give to him;

На него да даваш и първите плодове от житото си, от виното си и от елея си, и първото руно от овцете си.

5 f or on him hath Jehovah thy God fixed, out of all thy tribes, to stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, He and his sons continually.

Защото измежду всичките ти племена него избра Господ, твоят Бог, да стои да служи в Името на Господа, той и потомците му винаги.

6 ` And when the Levite cometh from one of thy cities out of all Israel, where he hath sojourned, and hath come with all the desire of his soul unto the place which Jehovah doth choose,

И ако дойде левит от някой от градовете ти в целия Израел, където е бил пришълец, и дойде с цялото желание на душата си на мястото, което избере Господ,

7 t hen he hath ministered in the name of Jehovah his God, like all his brethren, the Levites, who are standing there before Jehovah,

тогава да служи в Името на Господа, своя Бог, както всичките му братя левити, които служат там на Господа.

8 p ortion as portion they do eat, apart from his sold things, with the fathers.

Нека имат равни дялове да ядат, в прибавка към полученото от продажбата на бащиния му имот.

9 ` When thou art coming in unto the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations:

Когато влезеш в земята, която Господ, твоят Бог, ти дава, не се учи да правиш според мерзостите на местните племена.

10 t here is not found in thee one causing his son and his daughter to pass over into fire, a user of divinations, an observer of clouds, and an enchanter, and a sorcerer,

Да няма сред тебе някой, който да прекарва сина си или дъщеря си през огън, нито един прорицател, окултист, гадател или магьосник,

11 a nd a charmer, and one asking at a familiar spirit, and a wizard, and one seeking unto the dead.

никакъв чародей, запитвач на зли духове, врач или човек, който извиква духове на мъртви;

12 ` For the abomination of Jehovah every one doing these, and because of these abominations is Jehovah thy God dispossessing them from thy presence.

защото всеки, който прави тези дела, е омразен на Господа и поради тези мерзости Господ, твоят Бог, изгонва тези народи пред тебе.

13 P erfect thou art with Jehovah thy God,

Съвършен да бъдеш пред Господа, твоя Бог.

14 f or these nations whom thou art possessing, unto observers of clouds, and unto diviners, do hearken; and thou -- not so hath Jehovah thy God suffered thee.

Защото тези народи, които ще завладееш, слушат окултистите и прорицателите; но на тебе Господ, твоят Бог, не е позволил това.

15 ` A prophet out of thy midst, out of thy brethren, like to me, doth Jehovah thy God raise up to thee -- unto him ye hearken;

Господ, твоят Бог, ще издигне отсред теб, измежду братята ти, пророк, както е въздигнал мене; него слушайте,

16 a ccording to all that thou didst ask from Jehovah thy God, in Horeb, in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not add to hear the voice of Jehovah my God, and this great fire let me not see any more, and I die not;

според всичко, което ти измолваше от Господа, своя Бог, при Хорив, в деня, когато се събрахте, като ти казваше: Да не чуя вече гласа на Господа, моя Бог, и да не видя вече този голям огън, за да не умра.

17 a nd Jehovah saith unto me, They have done well that they have spoken;

Тогава Господ ми каза: Добро е това, което казаха.

18 a prophet I raise up to them, out of the midst of their brethren, like to thee; and I have given my words in his mouth, and he hath spoken unto them all that which I command him;

Аз ще им въздигна от братята им пророк, както съм въздигнал теб, и ще сложа думите Си в устата му; и той ще им говори всичко, което Аз му заповядвам.

19 a nd it hath been -- the man who doth not hearken unto My words which he doth speak in My name, I require of him.

А който не послуша думите Ми, които той ще говори в Мое Име, Аз ще искам сметка от него.

20 ` Only, the prophet who presumeth to speak a word in My name -- that which I have not commanded him to speak -- and who speaketh in the name of other gods -- even that prophet hath died.

Но пророк, който дръзне да каже от Мое Име слово, което Аз не съм му заповядал да говори, или който говори от името на други богове, този пророк да умре.

21 ` And when thou sayest in thy heart, How do we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? --

И ако кажеш в сърцето си: Как ще познаем кое слово Господ не е казал? -

22 t hat which the prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing is not, and cometh not -- it the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; in presumption hath the prophet spoken it; -- thou art not afraid of him.

Когато някой пророк говори от Господнето име и словото му не се сбъдне, това слово Господ не е говорил; пророкът го е говорил своеволно; да не се боиш от него.
