1 W hen therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees heard that Jesus more disciples doth make and baptize than John,

А когато Господ узна какво са дочули фарисеите за Него, именно, че Исус придобивал и кръщавал повече ученици от Йоан,

2 ( though indeed Jesus himself was not baptizing, but his disciples,)

не че сам Исус кръщаваше, а учениците Му,

3 h e left Judea and went away again to Galilee,

напусна Юдея и пак отиде към Галилея.

4 a nd it was behoving him to go through Samaria.

И трябваше да мине през Самария.

5 H e cometh, therefore, to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the place that Jacob gave to Joseph his son;

И така, дойде в един самарийски град, наречен Сихар, близо до землището, което Яков даде на сина си Йосиф.

6 a nd there was there a well of Jacob. Jesus therefore having been weary from the journeying, was sitting thus on the well; it was as it were the sixth hour;

Там беше Якововият кладенец. И така, Исус, уморен от пътуване, седеше така на кладенеца. Беше около шестия час.

7 t here cometh a woman out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, `Give me to drink;'

Дойде една самарянка да си извади вода. Исус ѝ каза: Дай Ми да пия.

8 f or his disciples were gone away to the city, that they may buy victuals;

Защото учениците Му бяха отишли в града да купят храна.

9 t he Samaritan woman therefore saith to him, `How dost thou, being a Jew, ask drink from me, being a Samaritan woman?' for Jews have no dealing with Samaritans.

Тогава самарянката Му каза: Как Ти, Който си юдеин, искаш вода от мене, която съм самарянка? Защото юдеите не общуват със самаряните.

10 J esus answered and said to her, `If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.'

Исус ѝ отговори: Ако беше знаела Божия дар и Кой е Онзи, Който ти казва: Дай Ми да пия, ти би поискала от Него и Той би ти дал жива вода!

11 T he woman saith to him, `Sir, thou hast not even a vessel to draw with, and the well is deep; whence, then, hast thou the living water?

Жената Му каза: Господине, нямаш с какво да загребеш вода, а и кладенецът е дълбок; тогава откъде имаш живата вода?

12 A rt thou greater than our father Jacob, who did give us the well, and himself out of it did drink, and his sons, and his cattle?'

Нима си по-велик от баща ни Яков, който ни е дал кладенеца и сам той е пил от него, и синовете му, и добитъкът му?

13 J esus answered and said to her, `Every one who is drinking of this water shall thirst again;

Исус ѝ отговори: Всеки, който пие от тази вода, пак ще ожаднее;

14 b ut whoever may drink of the water that I will give him, may not thirst -- to the age; and the water that I will give him shall become in him a well of water, springing up to life age-during.'

а който пие от водата, която Аз ще му дам, няма да ожаднее довека; но водата, която ще му дам, ще стане в него извор на вода, която извира за вечен живот.

15 T he woman saith unto him, `Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come hither to draw.'

Жената Му каза: Господине, дай ми тази вода, за да не ожаднявам, нито да извървявам толкова път дотук, за да изваждам.

16 J esus saith to her, `Go, call thy husband, and come hither;'

Исус ѝ каза: Иди, повикай мъжа си и ела тук.

17 t he woman answered and said, `I have not a husband.' Jesus saith to her, `Well didst thou say -- A husband I have not;

Жената Му отговори: Нямам мъж. Исус ѝ каза: Право каза, че нямаш мъж;

18 f or five husbands thou hast had, and, now, he whom thou hast is not thy husband; this hast thou said truly.'

защото петима мъже си имала, и този, когото сега имаш, не ти е мъж. Това, което казваш, е вярно.

19 T he woman saith to him, `Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet;

Жената Му каза: Господине, виждам, че Ти си пророк.

20 o ur fathers in this mountain did worship, and ye -- ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where it behoveth to worship.'

Нашите бащи на този хълм са се покланяли; а вие казвате, че в Йерусалим е мястото, където трябва да се покланяме.

21 J esus saith to her, `Woman, believe me, that there doth come an hour, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father;

Исус ѝ каза: Жено, вярвай Ми, че идва час, когато нито на този хълм, нито в Йерусалим ще се покланяте на Отца.

22 y e worship what ye have not known; we worship what we have known, because the salvation is of the Jews;

Вие се покланяте на онова, което не знаете; ние се покланяме на онова, което знаем; защото спасението е от юдеите.

23 b ut, there cometh an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also doth seek such to worship him;

Но иде час, и сега е, когато истинските поклонници ще се покланят на Отца с дух и истина; защото такива иска Отец да бъдат поклонниците Му.

24 G od a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.'

Бог е Дух; и онези, които Му се покланят, с дух и истина трябва да се покланят.

25 T he woman saith to him, `I have known that Messiah doth come, who is called Christ, when that one may come, he will tell us all things;'

Жената Му каза: Зная, че ще дойде Месия, Който се нарича Христос; Той, когато дойде, ще ни изяви всичко.

26 J esus saith to her, `I am, who am speaking to thee.'

Исус ѝ каза: Аз, Който говоря с тебе, съм Месията.

27 A nd upon this came his disciples, and were wondering that with a woman he was speaking, no one, however, said, `What seekest thou?' or `Why speakest thou with her?'

В това време дойдоха учениците Му и се учудиха, че разговаря с жена; но никой не попита: Какво търсиш?, или: Защо разговаряш с нея?

28 T he woman then left her water-jug, and went away to the city, and saith to the men,

Тогава жената остави стомната си, отиде в града и каза на хората:

29 ` Come, see a man, who told me all things -- as many as I did; is this the Christ?'

Елате да видите един Човек, Който ми каза всичко, което съм направила. Да не би Той да е Христос?

30 T hey went forth therefore out of the city, and were coming unto him.

Те излязоха от града и отиваха при Него.

31 A nd in the meanwhile his disciples were asking him, saying, `Rabbi, eat;'

В това време учениците молеха Исус: Учителю, яж.

32 a nd he said to them, `I have food to eat that ye have not known.'

А Той им каза: Аз имам храна да ям, за която вие не знаете.

33 T he disciples then said one to another, `Did any one bring him anything to eat?'

Затова учениците казаха помежду си: Да не би някой да Му е донесъл нещо за ядене?

34 J esus saith to them, `My food is, that I may do the will of Him who sent me, and may finish His work;

Исус им каза: Моята храна е да изпълня волята на Онзи, Който Ме е пратил, и да довърша Неговото дело.

35 d o not say that it is yet four months, and the harvest cometh; lo, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and see the fields, that they are white unto harvest already.

Не казвате ли: Още четири месеца и жътвата ще дойде? Ето, казвам ви, погледнете и вижте, че нивите са вече бели за жътва.

36 ` And he who is reaping doth receive a reward, and doth gather fruit to life age-during, that both he who is sowing and he who is reaping may rejoice together;

Който жъне, получава заплата и събира плод за вечен живот, за да се радват заедно и който сее, и който жъне.

37 f or in this the saying is the true one, that one is the sower and another the reaper.

Защото в това отношение вярна е пословицата, че един сее, а друг жъне.

38 I sent you to reap that on which ye have not laboured; others laboured, and ye into their labour have entered.

Аз ви пратих да жънете това, за което не сте се трудили; други се трудиха, а вие влязохте в наследството на техния труд.

39 A nd from that city many believed in him, of the Samaritans, because of the word of the woman testifying, -- `He told me all things -- as many as I did.'

И много самаряни от този град повярваха в Него поради думите на жената, която свидетелстваше: Той ми каза всичко, което съм правила.

40 W hen, then, the Samaritans came unto him, they were asking him to remain with them, and he remained there two days;

И така, когато самаряните дойдоха при Него, Го помолиха да остане при тях; и Той остана там два дни.

41 a nd many more did believe because of his word,

И още мнозина повярваха поради Неговото учение;

42 a nd said to the woman -- `No more because of thy speaking do we believe; for we ourselves have heard and known that this is truly the Saviour of the world -- the Christ.'

и на жената казаха: Ние вече вярваме не заради това, което ти ни каза, понеже сами чухме и знаем, че Той е наистина Спасителят на света. Исус Христос изцелява сина на царски чиновник

43 A nd after the two days he went forth thence, and went away to Galilee,

След два дни Той си тръгна оттам и отиде в Галилея.

44 f or Jesus himself testified that a prophet in his own country shall not have honour;

Защото сам Исус заяви, че пророк не е почитан в родината си.

45 w hen then, he came to Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all things that he did in Jerusalem in the feast -- for they also went to the feast.

И така, когато дойде в Галилея, галилеяните Го приеха, след като бяха видели всичко, което извърши в Йерусалим на празника; защото и те бяха отишли на празника.

46 J esus came, therefore, again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine, and there was a certain courtier, whose son was ailing in Capernaum,

И така, Исус пак дойде в Кана Галилейска, където беше превърнал водата във вино. И имаше един царски чиновник, чийто син беше болен в Капернаум.

47 h e, having heard that Jesus is come out of Judea to Galilee, went away unto him, and was asking him that he may come down and may heal his son, for he was about to die.

Той, като чу, че Исус е дошъл от Юдея в Галилея, отиде при Него и Го помоли да слезе и да изцели сина му, защото беше на умиране.

48 J esus then said unto him, `If signs and wonders ye may not see, ye will not believe.'

Тогава Исус му каза: Ако не видите знамения и чудеса, никак няма да повярвате.

49 T he courtier saith unto him, `Sir, come down before my child die;'

Царският чиновник Му каза: Господине, слез, докато не е умряло детенцето ми.

50 J esus saith to him, `Be going on; thy son doth live.' And the man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and was going on,

Исус му каза: Иди си; синът ти е жив. Човекът повярва на думите, които му каза Исус, и си отиде.

51 a nd he now going down, his servants met him, and told, saying -- `Thy child doth live;'

И когато той вече слизаше към дома си, слугите му го посрещнаха и казаха, че синът му е жив.

52 h e inquired then of them the hour in which he became better, and they said to him -- `Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him;'

А той ги попита за часа, когато му стана по-леко. Те му казаха: В седмия час треската го остави.

53 t hen the father knew that in that hour in which Jesus said to him -- `Thy son doth live,' and he himself believed, and his whole house;

И така бащата разбра, че това е станало в същия час, когато Исус му каза: Синът ти е жив. И повярва той и целият му дом.

54 t his again a second sign did Jesus, having come out of Judea to Galilee.

Това второ знамение извърши Исус, когато отново дойде от Юдея в Галилея.
