1 A nd Abraham addeth and taketh a wife, and her name Keturah;

А Авраам взе и друга жена на име Хетура.

2 a nd she beareth to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Тя му роди Земран, Йоксан, Мадан, Медиам, Есвок и Шуах.

3 A nd Jokshan hath begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;

И Йоксан роди Сава и Дедан; а синове на Дедан бяха Асурим, Латусиим и Лаомим.

4 a nd the sons of Midian Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these sons of Keturah.

А синовете на Мадиам бяха Гефа, Ефер, Енох, Авида и Елдага; всички тези бяха потомци на Хетура.

5 A nd Abraham giveth all that he hath to Isaac;

Но Авраам даде целия си имот на Исаак.

6 a nd to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham hath, Abraham hath given gifts, and sendeth them away from Isaac his son (in his being yet alive) eastward, unto the east country.

А на синовете на наложниците си Авраам даде подаръци и докато беше още жив, ги изпрати към изток, в източната земя, далеч от сина си Исаак. Смърт и погребение на Авраам

7 A nd these the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, a hundred and seventy and five years;

8 a nd Abraham expireth, and dieth in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered unto his people.

И Авраам издъхна, като умря в честита старост, стар и сит от дни; и се прибра при народа си.

9 A nd Isaac and Ishmael his sons bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which before Mamre --

А синовете му Исаак и Исмаил го погребаха в пещерата Махпелах, в нивата на Ефрон, син на Саар, хета, която е срещу Мамврий,

10 t he field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth -- there hath Abraham been buried, and Sarah his wife.

нивата, която Авраам купи от хетите; там беше погребан Авраам, също и жена му Сара.

11 A nd it cometh to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesseth Isaac his son; and Isaac dwelleth by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.

А след смъртта на Авраам Бог благослови сина му Исаак; а Исаак живееше при Вир-лахай-рои. Родословие на Исмаил

12 A nd these births of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, hath borne to Abraham;

Ето потомството на Авраамовия син Исмаил, когото египтянката Агар, слугинята на Сара, роди на Авраам;

13 a nd these the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

и ето имената на Исмаиловите синове, имената им според родовете им: Исмаиловият първороден - Навайот, после Кидар, Адвеил, Мавсам.

14 a nd Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

Масма, Дума, Маса,

15 H adar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

Адад, Тема, Етур, Нафис и Кедиа.

16 t hese are sons of Ishmael, and these their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.

Тези са Исмаиловите синове, тези са имената им според колибите им и според оградените им села: дванадесет племеначалници според племената им.

17 A nd these the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years; and he expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people;

И ето годините на Исмаиловия живот - сто тридесет и седем; и като издъхна, умря и се прибра при народа си.

18 a nd they tabernacle from Havilah unto Shur, which before Egypt, in going towards Asshur; in the presence of all his brethren hath he fallen.

19 A nd these births of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham hath begotten Isaac;

Ето и потомството на Авраамовия син Исаак; Авраам роди Исаак,

20 a nd Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.

а Исаак беше на четиридесет години, когато взе за жена Ревека, дъщеря на сириеца Ватуил от Падан-арам и сестра на сириеца Лаван.

21 A nd Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,

И Исаак се молеше на Господа за жена си, защото беше бездетна; Господ го послуша и жена му Ревека зачена.

22 a nd the children struggle together within her, and she saith, `If right -- why I thus?' and she goeth to seek Jehovah.

А децата се блъскаха едно друго вътре в нея; и тя каза: Ако е така, защо да живея? И отиде да се допита до Господа.

23 A nd Jehovah saith to her, `Two nations in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the people than the people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.'

А Господ ѝ каза: Два народа са в утробата ти и две племена ще се разделят от корема ти. Едното племе ще бъде по-силно от другото; и по-големият ще слугува на по-малкия.

24 A nd her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins in her womb;

И когато се изпълни времето ѝ да роди, ето, в утробата ѝ имаше близнаци.

25 a nd the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;

Първият излезе червен, цял космат, като кожена дреха; и го наименуваха Исав.

26 a nd afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau's heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac a son of sixty years in her bearing them.

После излезе брат му, държейки с ръката си петата на Исав; затова бе наречен Яков. А Исаак беше на шестдесет години, когато тя ги роди.

27 A nd the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob a plain man, inhabiting tents;

И като пораснаха децата, Исав стана изкусен ловец, полски човек; а Яков беше тих човек и живееше в шатрите.

28 a nd Isaac loveth Esau, for hunting in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.

Исаак обичаше Исав, защото ядеше от лова му; а Ревека обичаше Яков. Исав продава първородството си

29 A nd Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he weary;

Един ден Яков си вареше вариво, а Исав дойде от полето изнемощял;

30 a nd Esau saith unto Jacob, `Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I weary;' therefore hath called his name Edom;

и Исав каза на Яков: Я ми дай да ям от червеното, това червено вариво, защото съм изнемощял (затова той бе наречен Едом).

31 a nd Jacob saith, `Sell to-day thy birthright to me.'

Яков отвърна: Най-напред ми продай първородството си.

32 A nd Esau saith, `Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me -- birthright?'

А Исав каза: Виж, аз съм на умиране; за какво ми е това първородство?

33 a nd Jacob saith, `Swear to me to-day:' and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;

И Яков каза: Най-напред ми се закълни. И той му се закле и продаде първородството си на Яков.

34 a nd Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.

Тогава Яков даде на Исав хляб и вариво от леща; и той яде и пи, и стана, и си отиде. Така Исав презря първородството си.
