1 A nd he heareth the words of Laban's sons, saying, `Jacob hath taken all that our father hath; yea, from that which our father hath, he hath made all this honour;'

А Яков чу думите на Лавановите синове, които казваха: Яков отне целия имот на баща ни и от бащиния ни имот придоби цялото това богатство.

2 a nd Jacob seeth the face of Laban, and lo, it is not with him as heretofore.

И, ето, Яков видя, че Лаван не беше разположен към него, както преди.

3 A nd Jehovah saith unto Jacob, `Turn back unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred, and I am with thee.'

А Господ каза на Яков: Върни се в отечеството си и в рода си и Аз ще бъда с тебе.

4 A nd Jacob sendeth and calleth for Rachel and for Leah to the field unto his flock;

Тогава Яков прати да повикат Рахил и Лия на полето при стадото му;

5 a nd saith to them, `I am beholding your father's face -- that it is not towards me as heretofore, and the God of my father hath been with me,

и им каза: Виждам, че баща ви не е разположен към мене, както преди, но Бог на баща ми е бил с мен.

6 a nd ye -- ye have known that with all my power I have served your father,

А вие знаете, че с цялата си сила работих на баща ви.

7 a nd your father hath played upon me, and hath changed my hire ten times; and God hath not suffered him to do evil with me.

Но баща ви ме излъга и десет пъти променя заплатата ми; обаче Бог не го остави да ми напакости.

8 ` If he say thus: The speckled are thy hire, then bare all the flock speckled ones; and if he say thus: The ring-straked are thy hire, then bare all the flock ring-straked;

Ако кажеше така: Капчестите ще ти бъдат заплатата, тогава цялото стадо раждаше капчести, а ако кажеше така: Шарените ще ти бъдат заплатата, тогава цялото стадо раждаше шарени.

9 a nd God taketh away the substance of your father, and doth give to me.

Така Бог отне стадото на баща ви и го даде на мен.

10 ` And it cometh to pass at the time of the flock conceiving, that I lift up mine eyes and see in a dream, and lo, the he-goats, which are going up on the flock, ring-straked, speckled, and grisled;

И по времето, когато стадото зачеваше, видях на сън, че, ето, козлите, които се качваха на стадото, бяха шарени, капчести и сиви.

11 a nd the messenger of God saith unto me in the dream, Jacob, and I say, Here I.

И ангел Божий ми каза в съня: Якове. А аз отговорих: Ето ме.

12 ` And He saith, Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see -- all the he-goats which are going up on the flock ring-straked, speckled, and grisled, for I have seen all that Laban is doing to thee;

Той каза: Погледни и виж, че всички козли, които оплождат стадото, са шарени, капчести и сиви, защото видях всичко, което ти прави Лаван.

13 I the God of Bethel where thou hast anointed a standing pillar, where thou hast vowed a vow to me; now, arise, go out from this land, and turn back unto the land of thy birth.'

Аз съм Бог на Ветил, където ти помаза стълб с масло и където Ми се обрече. Стани сега, излез от тази земя и се върни в родината си.

14 A nd Rachel answereth -- Leah also -- and saith to him, `Have we yet a portion and inheritance in the house of our father?

Рахил и Лия му отговориха: Имаме ли ние още дял или наследство в бащиния си дом?

15 h ave we not been reckoned strangers to him? for he hath sold us, and he also utterly consumeth our money;

Не ни ли сметна той за чужденки, като ни продаде и даже изяде дадените за нас пари?

16 f or all the wealth which God hath taken away from our father, it ours, and our children's; and now, all that God hath said unto thee -- do.'

Защото цялото богатство, което Бог отне от баща ни, е наше и на нашите деца. Затова направѝ сега, каквото Бог ти е казал.

17 A nd Jacob riseth, and lifteth up his sons and his wives on the camels,

Тогава Яков стана и качи децата си и жените си на камилите.

18 a nd leadeth all his cattle, and all his substance which he hath acquired, the cattle of his getting, which he hath acquired in Padan-Aram, to go unto Isaac his father, to the land of Canaan.

И подкара всичкия си добитък и цялото си имущество, което беше придобил, спечеления от него добитък, който беше събрал в Падан-арам, за да отиде в Ханаанската земя при баща си Исаак.

19 A nd Laban hath gone to shear his flock, and Rachel stealeth the teraphim which her father hath;

А когато Лаван беше отишъл да стриже овцете си, Рахил открадна домашните идоли на баща си.

20 a nd Jacob deceiveth the heart of Laban the Aramaean, because he hath not declared to him that he is fleeing;

И така, Яков побегна скришно от сириеца Лаван, без да му извести, че си отива.

21 a nd he fleeth, he and all that he hath, and riseth, and passeth over the River, and setteth his face the mount of Gilead.

Побегна с цялото си имущество, стана и премина Ефрат и се отправи към хълмистата страна на Галаад. Лаван преследва Яков

22 A nd it is told to Laban on the third day that Jacob hath fled,

А на третия ден известиха на Лаван, че Яков побегнал.

23 a nd he taketh his brethren with him, and pursueth after him a journey of seven days, and overtaketh him in the mount of Gilead.

Тогава Лаван, като взе със себе си братята си, гонѝ го седем дни и го стигна на Галаадската поляна.

24 A nd God cometh in unto Laban the Aramaean in a dream of the night, and saith to him, `Take heed to thyself lest thou speak with Jacob from good unto evil.'

Но Бог дойде насън, през нощта, при сириеца Лаван и му каза: Внимавай да не кажеш на Яков нито зло, нито добро.

25 A nd Laban overtaketh Jacob; and Jacob hath fixed his tent in the mount; and Laban with his brethren have fixed in the mount of Gilead.

И така, Лаван стигна Яков. Яков беше разпънал шатрата си на бърдото, а Лаван с братята си разпъна своята сред хълмистата страна на Галаад. Съюзът между Яков и Лаван

26 A nd Laban saith to Jacob, `What hast thou done that thou dost deceive my heart, and lead away my daughters as captives of the sword?

Лаван запита Яков: Какво направи ти? Защо побегна скришно и отведе дъщерите ми, като с меч запленени?

27 W hy hast thou hidden thyself to flee, and deceivest me, and hast not declared to me, and I send thee away with joy and with songs, with tabret and with harp,

Защо се скри, за да бягаш, и ме измами, а не ми каза, за да можех да те изпратя с веселие и с песни, с тъпани и с арфи,

28 a nd hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? -- now thou hast acted foolishly in doing;

нито ме остави да целуна синовете и дъщерите си? Ти си направил това, без да мислиш.

29 m y hand is to God to do evil with you, but the God of your father yesternight hath spoken unto me, saying, Take heed to thyself from speaking with Jacob from good unto evil.

Ръката ми е достатъчно силна да ви напакости, но Бог на баща ви ми говори през нощта, като каза: Внимавай да не кажеш на Яков нито зло, нито добро.

30 ` And now, thou hast certainly gone, because thou hast been very desirous for the house of thy father; why hast thou stolen my gods?'

И сега вече си тръгнал, понеже ти е домъчняло много за бащиния ти дом, обаче защо си откраднал боговете ми?

31 A nd Jacob answereth and saith to Laban, `Because I was afraid, for I said, Lest thou take violently away thy daughters from me;

А Яков отговори на Лаван: Побегнах, понеже се уплаших, защото си казах: Може би ще ми отнемеш насила дъщерите си.

32 w ith whomsoever thou findest thy gods -- he doth not live; before our brethren discern for thyself what with me, and take to thyself:' and Jacob hath not known that Rachel hath stolen them.

В когото намериш боговете си, той да не остане жив; пред братята ни прегледай какво твое има в мен и си го вземи (защото Яков не знаеше, че Рахил ги беше откраднала).

33 A nd Laban goeth into the tent of Jacob, and into the tent of Leah, and into the tent of the two handmaidens, and hath not found; and he goeth out from the tent of Leah, and goeth into the tent of Rachel.

И така, Лаван влезе в Якововата шатра, в Лиината шатра и в шатрите на двете слугини, но не намери идолите. Тогава, като излезе от Лиината шатра, влезе в Рахилината шатра.

34 A nd Rachel hath taken the teraphim, and putteth them in the furniture of the camel, and sitteth upon them; and Laban feeleth all the tent, and hath not found;

А Рахил беше взела домашните идоли, сложила ги беше в седлото на камилата и седеше на тях. А Лаван претърси в цялата шатра, но не ги намери.

35 a nd she saith unto her father, `Let it not be displeasing in the eyes of my lord that I am not able to rise at thy presence, for the way of women on me;' and he searcheth, and hath not found the teraphim.

И Рахил каза на баща си: Да не ти се зловиди, господарю, че не мога да стана пред тебе, понеже имам обикновеното на жените. И той търси, но не намери идолите.

36 A nd it is displeasing to Jacob, and he striveth with Laban; and Jacob answereth and saith to Laban, `What my transgression? what my sin, that thou hast burned after me?

Тогава Яков се разсърди и се скара с Лаван. Яков проговори и каза на Лаван: Какво е престъплението ми? Какъв е грехът ми, че си се втурнал след мене толкова разпалено?

37 f or thou hast felt all my vessels: what hast thou found of all the vessels of thy house? set here before my brethren, and thy brethren, and they decide between us both.

Като претърси всичките ми вещи, какво намери от цялата си покъщнина? Сложѝ го тук пред моите братя и пред твоите братя и нека отсъдят между двама ни.

38 ` These twenty years I with thee: thy ewes and thy she-goats have not miscarried, and the rams of thy flock I have not eaten;

Двадесет години вече съм бил при теб, овцете ти и козите ти не се изяловиха и овните на стадото ти не изядох.

39 t he torn I have not brought in unto thee -- I, I repay it -- from my hand thou dost seek it; I have been deceived by day, and I have been deceived by night;

Разкъсано от звяр не ти донесох, аз теглих загубата. От мене ти изискваше откраднатото, било, че се открадне през деня или през нощта.

40 I have been: in the day consumed me hath drought, and frost by night, and wander doth my sleep from mine eyes.

Ето как беше с мене: през деня пекът ме изтощаваше, а през нощта - мразът, и сънят бягаше от очите ми.

41 ` This to me twenty years in thy house: I have served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy flock; and thou changest my hire ten times;

Двадесет години вече съм бил в дома ти; четиринадесет години ти работих за двете ти дъщери и шест години за овцете ти; и ти десет пъти промени заплатата ми.

42 u nless the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fear of Isaac, had been for me, surely now empty thou hadst sent me away; mine affliction and the labour of my hands hath God seen, and reproveth yesternight.'

Ако не беше с мене бащиният ми Бог, Бог на Авраам, Бог, от Когото се бои Исаак, ти без друго би ме изпратил сега без нищо. Бог видя моята неволя и труда на ръцете ми и те изобличи през нощта.

43 A nd Laban answereth and saith unto Jacob, `The daughters my daughters, and the sons my sons, and the flock my flock, and all that thou art seeing mine; and to my daughters -- what do I to these to-day, or to their sons whom they have born?

А Лаван отговори на Яков: Тези дъщери са мои дъщери и децата са мои деца, и стадата са мои стада, всичко, което виждаш, е мое; и какво да сторя днес на тези мои дъщери или на децата, които са народили?

44 a nd now, come, let us make a covenant, I and thou, and it hath been for a witness between me and thee.'

Но сега ела, аз и ти да сключим договор, който да бъде свидетелство между мене и тебе.

45 A nd Jacob taketh a stone, and lifteth it up a standing pillar;

Тогава Яков взе камък и го изправи за стълб.

46 a nd Jacob saith to his brethren, `Gather stones,' and they take stones, and make a heap; and they eat there on the heap;

Яков каза още на братята си: Натрупайте камъни. И те взеха камъни и направиха грамада; и ядоха там край грамадата.

47 a nd Laban calleth it Jegar-Sahadutha; and Jacob hath called it Galeed.

Лаван я нарече Иегар Сахадута, а Яков я нарече Галаад.

48 A nd Laban saith, `This heap witness between me and thee to-day;' therefore hath he called its name Galeed;

И Лаван каза: Тази грамада е свидетел днес между мене и тебе. Поради това тя бе наречена Галаад

49 M izpah also, for he said, `Jehovah doth watch between me and thee, for we are hidden one from another;

и Масфа, защото Лаван казваше: Господ да бди между мене и тебе, когато сме далеч един от друг.

50 i f thou afflict my daughters, or take wives beside my daughters -- there is no man with us -- see, God witness between me and thee.'

Ако се отнасяш зле с дъщерите ми или ако вземеш други жени, освен дъщерите ми, и няма никой човек с нас за свидетел, но виж, Бог е свидетел между мене и тебе.

51 A nd Laban saith to Jacob, `Lo, this heap, and lo, the standing pillar which I have cast between me and thee;

Лаван каза още на Яков: Гледай тази грамада и гледай стълба, който изправих между мене и тебе,

52 t his heap witness, and the standing pillar witness, that I do not pass over this heap unto thee, and that thou dost not pass over this heap and this standing pillar unto me -- for evil;

тази грамада да бъде свидетел и стълбът да бъде свидетел, че аз няма да премина тази грамада към тебе, нито ти ще преминеш тази грамада и този стълб към мене, за да извършиш зло.

53 t he God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, doth judge between us -- the God of their father,' and Jacob sweareth by the Fear of his father Isaac.

Бог Авраамов, Бог Нахоров, бащиният им Бог нека съди между нас. И Яков се закле в Бога, от Когото се боеше Исаак.

54 A nd Jacob sacrificeth a sacrifice in the mount, and calleth to his brethren to eat bread, and they eat bread, and lodge in the mount;

Тогава Яков принесе жертва на поляната и повика братята си да ядат хляб; и ядоха хляб, и пренощуваха на поляната.

55 a nd Laban riseth early in the morning, and kisseth his sons and his daughters, and blesseth them; and Laban goeth on, and turneth back to his place.

На сутринта Лаван стана рано, целуна синовете и дъщерите си, благослови ги; и Лаван тръгна, и се върна в своето място.
