1 A nd Naomi hath an acquaintance of her husband's, a man mighty in wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name Boaz.

А Ноемин имаше един сродник на мъжа си, заможен човек от рода на Елимелех на име Вооз.

2 A nd Ruth the Moabitess saith unto Naomi, `Let me go, I pray thee, into the field, and I gather among the ears of corn after him in whose eyes I find grace;' and she saith to her, `Go, my daughter.'

И моавката Рут каза на Ноемин: Ще отида на нивата да събирам класове след онзи, чието благоволение придобия. Ноемин ѝ отвърна: Иди, дъще моя.

3 A nd she goeth and cometh and gathereth in a field after the reapers, and her chance happeneth -- the portion of the field is Boaz's who of the family of Elimelech.

Рут отиде и започна да събира класове в нивата след жътварите. И стана така, че тя попадна на нивата, която принадлежеше на Вооз, човек от рода на Елимелех.

4 A nd lo, Boaz hath come from Beth-Lehem, and saith to the reapers, `Jehovah with you;' and they say to him, `Jehovah doth bless thee.'

И така, Вооз дойде от Витлеем и каза на жътварите: Господ с вас! Те му отговориха: Господ да те благослови!

5 A nd Boaz saith to his young man who is set over the reapers, `Whose this young person?'

Тогава Вооз каза на слугата си, настойника на жътварите: Чия е тази млада жена?

6 A nd the young man who is set over the reapers answereth and saith, `A young woman -- Moabitess -- she, who came back with Naomi from the fields of Moab,

И слугата, настойникът на жътварите, му отговори: Тази млада жена е моавката, която се върна с Ноемин от Моавската земя.

7 a nd she saith, Let me glean, I pray thee -- and I have gathered among the sheaves after the reapers; and she cometh and remaineth since the morning and till now; she sat in the house a little.

Дойде и ни помоли: Моля ви, позволете ми да бера и да събирам класове между снопите след жътварите. И така, тя се присъедини и остана тук от сутринта до сега с изключение на малка почивка вкъщи.

8 A nd Boaz saith unto Ruth, `Hast thou not heard, my daughter? go not to glean in another field, and also, pass not over from this, and thus thou dost cleave to my young women:

Тогава Вооз каза на Рут: Чуй ме, дъще моя! Не ходи да събираш класове на друга нива и не си отивай оттук, а остани при слугините ми.

9 t hine eyes on the field which they reap, and thou hast gone after them; have not I charged the young men not to touch thee? when thou art athirst then thou hast gone unto the vessels, and hast drunk from that which the young men draw.'

Наблюдавай на коя нива ще отидат да жънат и ходи след тях. Аз съм наредил на жътварите да не те закачат; и когато си жадна, иди при съдовете и пий от водата, която работниците са донесли.

10 A nd she falleth on her face, and boweth herself to the earth, and saith unto him, `Wherefore have I found grace in thine eyes, to discern me, and I a stranger?'

Рут падна по лице, поклони се до земята и му каза: Как придобих твоето благоволение, за да ме приемеш, въпреки че съм чужденка?

11 A nd Boaz answereth and saith to her, `It hath thoroughly been declared to me all that thou hast done with thy mother-in-law, after the death of thy husband, and thou dost leave thy father, and thy mother, and the land of thy birth, and dost come in unto a people which thou hast not known heretofore.

А Вооз ѝ отговори: Разказаха ми всичко, което си направила за свекърва си след смъртта на мъжа си, как си оставила баща си и майка си, и родината си и си дошла между народ, който по-рано не си познавала.

12 J ehovah doth recompense thy work, and thy reward is complete from Jehovah, God of Israel, under whose wings thou hast come to take refuge.'

Господ да ти отплати за направеното добро и пълна награда да ти се даде от Господа, Израелевия Бог, под Чиито крила си дошла да се подслониш.

13 A nd she saith, `Let me find grace in thine eyes, my lord, because thou hast comforted me, and because thou hast spoken unto the heart of thy maid-servant, and I -- I am not as one of thy maid-servants.'

Тогава Рут каза: Нека да продължава твоето благоволение, господарю мой; понеже ти ме утеши и понеже се отнесе благосклонно към слугинята си, въпреки че не съм една от твоите слугини.

14 A nd Boaz saith to her, `At meal-time come nigh hither, and thou hast eaten of the bread, and dipped thy morsel in the vinegar.' And she sitteth at the side of the reapers, and he reacheth to her roasted corn, and she eateth, and is satisfied, and leaveth.

Когато стана време за ядене, Вооз каза на Рут: Ела тук и яж от хляба, и натопи залъка си в оцета. И така, тя седна до жътварите; Вооз ѝ подаде печена питка. И Рут яде, насити се и ѝ остана от питката.

15 A nd she riseth to glean, and Boaz chargeth his young men, saying, `Even between the sheaves she doth glean, and ye do not cause her to blush;

А като стана да събира класове, Вооз заповяда на жътварите си: Между снопите нека събира класове; не я мъмрете!

16 a nd also ye do surely cast to her of the handfuls -- and have left, and she hath gleaned, and ye do not push against her.'

Дори изваждайте по нещо за нея от ръкойките и го оставяйте. Не ѝ забранявайте да го събира.

17 A nd she gleaneth in the field till the evening, and beateth out that which she hath gleaned, and it is about an ephah of barley;

И така, Рут продължи да събира класове в нивата до вечерта. След това очука събраното и то беше около една ефа ечемик.

18 a nd she taketh up, and goeth into the city, and her mother-in-law seeth that which she hath gleaned, and she bringeth out and giveth to her that which she left from her satiety.

Тя взе ечемика и влезе в града. Свекърва ѝ видя колко класове беше събрала; Рут извади и ѝ даде храната, която беше останала, след като се беше наситила.

19 A nd her mother-in-law saith to her, `Where hast thou gleaned to-day? and where hast thou wrought? may he who is discerning thee be blessed.' And she declareth to her mother-in-law with whom she hath wrought, and saith, `The name of the man with whom I have wrought to-day Boaz.'

Свекърва ѝ каза: Къде събира днес класове? Къде работѝ? Благословен да бъде онзи, който те е приел. Рут обясни на свекърва си на чия нива беше работила: Името на човека, при когото работих днес, е Вооз.

20 A nd Naomi saith to her daughter-in-law, `Blessed he of Jehovah who hath not forsaken His kindness with the living and with the dead;' and Naomi saith to her, `The man is a relation of ours; he of our redeemers.'

Ноемин каза на снаха си: Благословен да бъде от Господа онзи, който не лиши от милостта си нито живите, нито умрелите. После добави: Този човек е от нашия род, наш близък сродник.

21 A nd Ruth the Moabitess saith, `Also he surely said unto me, Near the young people whom I have thou dost cleave till they have completed the whole of the harvest which I have.'

Рут, моавката, отговори: При това Вооз ми каза: Не се отделяй от работниците ми, докато не свърши цялата жътва.

22 A nd Naomi saith unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, `Good, my daughter, that thou goest out with his young women, and they come not against thee in another field.'

Тогава Ноемин каза на снаха си: Добре е, дъще моя, че ще излизаш с неговите слугини, иначе може някой да те оскърби, ако отидеш на друга нива.

23 A nd she cleaveth to the young women of Boaz to glean, till the completion of the barley-harvest, and of the wheat-harvest, and she dwelleth with her mother-in-law.

И така, Рут се присъедини към слугините на Вооз, за да бере класове, докато свърши ечемичната и пшеничната жътва. И Рут живееше със свекърва си.
