1 A nd Abraham old, he hath entered into days, and Jehovah hath blessed Abraham in all;

А когато Авраам остаря, в напреднала възраст, и Господ го беше благословил във всичко,

2 a nd Abraham saith unto his servant, the eldest of his house, who is ruling over all that he hath, `Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh,

Авраам каза на най-стария слуга в дома си, който беше настоятел на целия му имот: Сложи, моля, ръката си под бедрото ми;

3 a nd I cause thee to swear by Jehovah, God of the heavens, and God of the earth, that thou dost not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanite, in the midst of whom I am dwelling;

и ще те закълна в Господа, Бог на небето и Бог на земята, че няма да вземеш жена за сина ми от дъщерите на ханаанците, между които живея;

4 b ut unto my land and unto my kindred dost thou go, and hast taken a wife for my son, for Isaac.'

а да отидеш в отечеството ми, при рода ми, и оттам да вземеш жена за сина ми Исаак.

5 A nd the servant saith unto him, `It may be the woman is not willing to come after me unto this land; do I at all cause thy son to turn back unto the land from whence thou camest out?'

А слугата му отговори: Може жената да не иска да дойде след мене в тази земя; трябва ли да заведа сина ти в онази земя, откъдето си излязъл?

6 A nd Abraham saith unto him, `Take heed to thyself, lest thou cause my son to turn back thither;

Но Авраам му каза: Пази се да не върнеш сина ми там.

7 J ehovah, God of the heavens, who hath taken me from the house of my father, and from the land of my birth, and who hath spoken to me, and who hath sworn to me, saying, To thy seed I give this land, He doth send His messenger before thee, and thou hast taken a wife for my son from thence;

Господ, небесният Бог, Който ме изведе от бащиния ми дом и от родната ми земя и Който ми говори, и Който ми се закле, като каза: На твоето потомство ще дам тази земя, Той ще изпрати ангела Си пред теб; и ще вземеш жена за сина ми оттам.

8 a nd if the woman be not willing to come after thee, then thou hast been acquitted from this mine oath: only my son thou dost not cause to turn back thither.'

Но ако жената не иска да дойде след тебе, тогава ти ще бъдеш свободен от това мое заклеване; само да не върнеш сина ми там.

9 A nd the servant putteth his hand under the thigh of Abraham his lord, and sweareth to him concerning this matter.

Тогава слугата сложи ръката си под бедрото на господаря си Авраам и му се закле за това.

10 A nd the servant taketh ten camels of the camels of his lord and goeth, also of all the goods of his lord in his hand, and he riseth, and goeth unto Aram-Naharaim, unto the city of Nahor;

И така, слугата взе десет от камилите на господаря си и тръгна, като носеше в ръцете си от всички богатства на господаря си; стана и отиде в Месопотамия, в Нахоровия град.

11 a nd he causeth the camels to kneel at the outside of the city, at the well of water, at even-time, at the time of the coming out of the women who draw water.

Надвечер, когато жените излизат да си наливат вода, той накара камилите да коленичат вън от града при водния кладенец.

12 A nd he saith, `Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, cause to meet, I pray Thee, before me this day -- (and do kindness with my lord Abraham;

Тогава каза: Господи, Боже на господаря ми Авраам, дай ми, моля, добър успех днес и покажи благост към господаря ми Авраам.

13 l o, I am standing by the fountain of water, and daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water;

Ето, аз стоя при извора на водата и дъщерите на града излизат да си наливат вода.

14 a nd it hath been, the young person unto whom I say, Incline, I pray thee, thy pitcher, and I drink, and she hath said, Drink, and I water also thy camels) -- her Thou hast decided for Thy servant, for Isaac; and by it I know that Thou hast done kindness with my lord.'

Нека девойката, на която кажа: Я наведи водоноса си да пия, и тя отвърне: Пий, и ще напоя и камилите ти - нека тя е онази, която си отредил за слугата Си Исаак; от това ще позная, че си показал милост към господаря ми.

15 A nd it cometh to pass, before he hath finished speaking, that lo, Rebekah (who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, wife of Nahor, brother of Abraham) is coming out, and her pitcher on her shoulder,

Докато той още говореше, ето, Ревека излизаше с водоноса си на рамо; тя се беше родила на Ватуил, син на Мелха, жената на Авраамовия брат Нахор.

16 a nd the young person of very good appearance, a virgin, and a man hath not known her; and she goeth down to the fountain, and filleth her pitcher, and cometh up.

Девойката беше много красива наглед, девица, която никой мъж не беше познал; тя, като слезе на извора, напълни водоноса си и се изкачи.

17 A nd the servant runneth to meet her, and saith, `Let me swallow, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher;'

А слугата се завтече да я посрещне и каза: Я ми дай да пия малко вода от водоноса ти.

18 a nd she saith, `Drink, my lord;' and she hasteth, and letteth down her pitcher upon her hand, and giveth him drink.

А тя отговори: Пий, господарю; и бързо сне водоноса на ръката си и му даде да пие.

19 A nd she finisheth giving him drink, and saith, `Also for thy camels I draw till they have finished drinking;'

И като му даде достатъчно да пие, каза: И за камилите ти ще налея, докато се напоят.

20 a nd she hasteth, and emptieth her pitcher into the drinking-trough, and runneth again unto the well to draw, and draweth for all his camels.

И като изля бързо водоноса си в поилото, завтече се на кладенеца да налее още и наля за всичките му камили.

21 A nd the man, wondering at her, remaineth silent, to know whether Jehovah hath made his way prosperous or not.

А човекът я наблюдаваше внимателно и мълчеше, за да узнае дали Господ беше направил пътуването му успешно или не.

22 A nd it cometh to pass when the camels have finished drinking, that the man taketh a golden ring (whose weight a bekah), and two bracelets for her hands (whose weight ten of gold),

Като напоиха камилите, човекът взе една златна обица, тежка половин сикъл, и две гривни за ръцете ѝ, тежки десет сикъла злато, и каза:

23 a nd saith, `Whose daughter thou? declare to me, I pray thee, is the house of thy father a place for us to lodge in?'

Чия дъщеря си? Я ми кажи. Има ли в къщата на баща ти място за нас да пренощуваме?

24 A nd she saith unto him, `I daughter of Bethuel, son of Milcah, whom she hath borne to Nahor.'

А тя му отговори: Аз съм дъщеря на Ватуил, син на Мелха, когото тя е родила на Нахор.

25 S he saith also unto him, `Both straw and provender abundant with us, also a place to lodge in.'

Каза му още: Има у нас и слама, и храна достатъчно, и място за пренощуване.

26 A nd the man boweth, and doth obeisance to Jehovah,

Тогава човекът се наведе и се поклони на Господа.

27 a nd saith, `Blessed Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, who hath not left off His kindness and His truth with my lord; -- I in the way, Jehovah hath led me to the house of my lord's brethren.'

И каза: Благословен да бъде Господ, Бог на господаря ми Авраам, Който не лиши господаря ми от милостта Си и верността Си, като Господ отправи пътя ми в дома на братята на господаря ми.

28 A nd the young person runneth, and declareth to the house of her mother according to these words.

А девойката се затича и разказа тези неща на майка си.

29 A nd Rebekah hath a brother, and his name Laban, and Laban runneth unto the man who without, unto the fountain;

Ревека имаше брат на име Лаван; и Лаван се завтече навън при човека на извора.

30 y ea, it cometh to pass, when he seeth the ring, and the bracelets on the hands of his sister, and when he heareth the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, `Thus hath the man spoken unto me,' that he cometh in unto the man, and lo, he is standing by the camels by the fountain.

Защото, като видя обицата и гривните на ръцете на сестра си и чу думите на сестра си Ревека, която казваше: Така ми говори човекът, той отиде при човека; а той стоеше при камилите до извора.

31 A nd he saith, `Come in, O blessed one of Jehovah, why standest thou without, and I -- I have prepared the house and place for the camels!'

И му каза: Влез, ти, благословен от Господа. Защо стоиш вън? Защото приготвих къщата и място за камилите.

32 A nd he bringeth in the man into the house, and looseth the camels, and giveth straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the feet of the men who with him:

И така, човекът влезе вкъщи; а Лаван разтовари камилите му и даде слама и храна за камилите и вода за умиване неговите крака и краката на хората, които бяха с него.

33 a nd setteth before him to eat; but he saith, `I do not eat till I have spoken my word;' and he saith, `Speak.'

И сложиха пред него да яде; но той каза: Не искам да ям, докато не кажа думата си. А Лаван отвърна: Казвай.

34 A nd he saith, `I Abraham's servant;

Тогава той каза: Аз съм слуга на Авраам.

35 a nd Jehovah hath blessed my lord exceedingly, and he is great; and He giveth to him flock, and herd, and silver, and gold, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and camels, and asses;

Господ е благословил господаря ми премного и стана велик; дал му е овце и говеда, сребро и злато, слуги и слугини, камили и осли.

36 a nd Sarah, my lord's wife, beareth a son to my lord, after she hath been aged, and he giveth to him all that he hath.

И Сара, жената на господаря ми, роди син на господаря ми, когато беше вече остаряла; и на него той даде всичко, което има.

37 ` And my lord causeth me to swear, saying, Thou dost not take a wife to my son from the daughters of the Canaanite, in whose land I am dwelling.

Господарят ми, като ме закле, каза: Да не вземеш за сина ми жена от дъщерите на ханаанците, в чиято земя живея.

38 I f not -- unto the house of my father thou dost go, and unto my family, and thou hast taken a wife for my son.

А да отидеш в бащиния ми дом и в рода ми и оттам да вземеш жена за сина ми.

39 ` And I say unto my lord, It may be the woman doth not come after me;

Аз казах на господаря си: Може жената да не иска да дойде след мене.

40 a nd he saith unto me, Jehovah, before whom I have walked habitually, doth send His messenger with thee, and hath prospered thy way, and thou hast taken a wife for my son from my family, and from the house of my father;

Но той ми отговори: Господ, пред Когото ходя, ще изпрати ангела Си с теб и ще направи пътуването ти успешно, и ще вземеш жена за сина ми от рода ми и от бащиния ми дом.

41 t hen art thou acquitted from my oath, when thou comest unto my family, and if they give not to thee; then thou hast been acquitted from my oath.

Само тогава ще бъдеш свободен от заклеването ми, когато отидеш при рода ми; и ако не ти я дадат, тогава ще бъдеш свободен от заклеването ми.

42 ` And I come to-day unto the fountain, and I say, Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, if Thou art, I pray Thee, making prosperous my way in which I am going --

И като пристигнах днес на извора, казах: Господи, Боже на господаря ми Авраам, моля, ако правиш пътуването ми, по което ходя, успешно,

43 ( lo, I am standing by the fountain of water), then the virgin who is coming out to draw, and I have said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher,

ето, аз стоя при водния извор; девойката, която излезе да налее вода, и аз ѝ кажа: Я ми дай да пия малко вода от водоноса ти,

44 a nd she hath said unto me, Both drink thou, and also for thy camels I draw -- she is the woman whom Jehovah hath decided for my lord's son.

и тя ми отговори: Пий и ще налея и за камилите ти, нека тя е жената, която Господ е отредил за сина на господаря ми.

45 ` Before I finish speaking unto my heart, then lo, Rebekah is coming out, and her pitcher on her shoulder, and she goeth down to the fountain, and draweth; and I say unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee,

Докато още си мислех това, ето, Ревека излезе с водоноса на рамото си. И като слезе на извора и наля, ѝ казах: Я ми дай да пия.

46 a nd she hasteth and letteth down her pitcher from off her and saith, Drink, and thy camels also I water; and I drink, and the camels also she hath watered.

И тя бързо свали водоноса от рамото си и каза: Пий, и ще напоя и камилите ти. И така, аз пих, а тя напои и камилите.

47 ` And I ask her, and say, Whose daughter thou? and she saith, Daughter of Bethuel, son of Nahor, whom Milcah hath borne to him, and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands,

Тогава я попитах: Чия дъщеря си? А тя отговори: Аз съм дъщеря на Ватуил, Нахоровия син, когото му роди Мелха. Тогава сложих обицата на лицето ѝ и гривните на ръцете ѝ.

48 a nd I bow, and do obeisance before Jehovah, and I bless Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, who hath led me in the true way to receive the daughter of my lord's brother for his son.

Наведох се и се поклоних на Господа, и благослових Господа, Бога на господаря ми Авраам, Който ме доведе по правия път, за да взема за сина на господаря ми братовата му дъщеря.

49 ` And now, if ye are dealing kindly and truly with my lord, declare to me; and if not, declare to me; and I turn unto the right or unto the left.'

И така, сега, ако искате да постъпите любезно и вярно спрямо господаря ми, кажете ми; и ако не, пак ми кажете, за да се обърна надясно или наляво.

50 A nd Laban answereth -- Bethuel also -- and they say, `The thing hath gone out from Jehovah; we are not able to speak unto thee bad or good;

А Лаван и Ватуил отговориха: От Господа стана това; ние не можем да ти кажем нито зло, нито добро.

51 l o, Rebekah before thee, take and go, and she is a wife to thy lord's son, as Jehovah hath spoken.'

Ето Ревека пред тебе; вземи я и си иди; нека бъде жена на сина на господаря ти, както Господ е говорил.

52 A nd it cometh to pass, when the servant of Abraham hath heard their words, that he boweth himself towards the earth before Jehovah;

Като чу думите им, Авраамовият слуга се поклони на Господа до земята.

53 a nd the servant taketh out vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and giveth to Rebekah; precious things also he hath given to her brother and to her mother.

И слугата извади сребърни и златни накити и облекла и ги даде на Ревека; също така даде скъпи дарове на брат ѝ и на майка ѝ.

54 A nd they eat and drink, he and the men who with him, and lodge all night; and they rise in the morning, and he saith, `Send me to my lord;'

След това той и хората, които бяха с него, ядоха и пиха, и пренощуваха; и като станаха сутринта, слугата каза: Изпратете ме при господаря ми.

55 a nd her brother saith -- her mother also -- `Let the young person abide with us a week or ten days, afterwards doth she go.'

А брат ѝ и майка ѝ казаха: Нека девойката поседи с нас известно време, най-малко десетина дни, после нека отиде.

56 A nd he saith unto them, `Do not delay me, seeing Jehovah hath prospered my way; send me away, and I go to my lord;'

Но той им отвърна: Не ме спирайте, тъй като Господ е направил пътуването ми успешно; изпратете ме да отида при господаря си.

57 a nd they say, `Let us call for the young person, and ask at her mouth;'

А те казаха: Да повикаме девойката и да я попитаме какво ще каже.

58 a nd they call for Rebekah, and say unto her, `Dost thou go with this man?' and she saith, `I go.'

И така, повикаха Ревека и ѝ казаха: Отиваш ли с този човек? А тя отвърна: Отивам.

59 A nd they send away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men;

И така, изпратиха сестра си Ревека с бавачката ѝ и Авраамовия слуга с хората му.

60 a nd they bless Rebekah, and say to her, `Thou our sister; become thou thousands of myriads, and thy seed doth possess the gate of those hating it.'

И благословиха Ревека, като ѝ казаха: Сестро наша, да се родят от тебе хиляди по десет хиляди и потомството ти да завладее портата на ненавистниците си.

61 A nd Rebekah and her young women arise, and ride on the camels, and go after the man; and the servant taketh Rebekah and goeth.

Ревека и слугите ѝ станаха, възседнаха камилите и отидоха след човека. Така слугата взе Ревека и си замина.

62 A nd Isaac hath come in from the entrance of the Well of the Living One, my Beholder; and he is dwelling in the land of the south,

А Исаак идеше от Вир-лахай-рои, защото живееше в южната земя.

63 a nd Isaac goeth out to meditate in the field, at the turning of the evening, and he lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, camels are coming.

И като излезе Исаак, за да размишлява на полето привечер, погледна и видя, че се приближаваха камили.

64 A nd Rebekah lifteth up her eyes, and seeth Isaac, and alighteth from off the camel;

Също и Ревека погледна и видя Исаак; и слезе от камилата.

65 a nd she saith unto the servant, `Who this man who is walking in the field to meet us?' and the servant saith, `It my lord;' and she taketh the veil, and covereth herself.

Защото беше попитала слугата: Кой е онзи човек, който идва през полето срещу нас? И слугата беше отговорил: Това е господарят ми. Затова тя взе покривалото си и се покри.

66 A nd the servant recounteth to Isaac all the things that he hath done,

И слугата разказа на Исаак всичко, което беше извършил.

67 a nd Isaac bringeth her in unto the tent of Sarah his mother, and he taketh Rebekah, and she becometh his wife, and he loveth her, and Isaac is comforted after his mother.

Тогава Исаак въведе Ревека в шатрата на майка си Сара и я взе, и тя му стана жена, и той я обикна. Така Исаак се утеши след смъртта на майка си.
