1 A nd Jehoshaphat hath riches and honour in abundance, and joineth affinity to Ahab,

А Йосафат имаше богатство и голяма слава; и се сроди с Ахав.

2 a nd goeth down at the end of years unto Ahab to Samaria, and Ahab sacrificeth for him sheep and oxen in abundance, and for the people who with him, and persuadeth him to go up unto Ramoth-Gilead.

И след няколко години слезе при Ахав в Самария. Ахав закла много овце и говеда за него и за народа, който беше с него; още му предложи да отиде с него в Рамот-галаад.

3 A nd Ahab king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, `Dost thou go with me Ramoth-Gilead?' And he saith to him, `As I -- so thou, and as thy people -- my people, even with thee in battle.'

Защото Израелевият цар Ахав каза на Юдейския цар Йосафат: Идваш ли с мене в Рамот-галаад? А той му отговори: Аз съм, както си ти, и моят народ, както твоят народ; ще бъдем с тебе във войната.

4 A nd Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, this day, the word of Jehovah.'

Йосафат каза още на Израелевия цар: Моля, допитай се сега до Господнето слово.

5 A nd the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And they say, `Go up, and God doth give into the hand of the king.'

Тогава Израелевият цар събра пророците си, четиристотин мъже, и им каза: Да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не идем? А те отговориха: Иди и Бог ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

6 A nd Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah still, and we seek from him?'

Обаче Йосафат каза: Няма ли тук освен тези някой Господен пророк, за да се допитаме чрез него?

7 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Still -- one man to seek Jehovah from him, and I -- I have hated him, for he is not prophesying concerning me of good, but all his days of evil, he Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.'

Израелевият цар отвърна на Йосафат: Има още един човек, чрез когото можем да се допитаме до Господа; но аз го мразя, защото никога не пророкува добро за мене, а винаги зло; той е Михей, син на Емла. А Йосафат каза: Нека царят не говори така.

8 A nd the king of Israel calleth unto a certain officer, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'

Тогава Израелевият цар повика един евнух и му нареди: Доведи скоро Михей, син на Емла.

9 A nd the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, and they are sitting in a threshing-floor at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.

А Израелевият цар и Юдейският цар Йосафат седяха, всеки на престола си, облечени в одеждите си; те седяха на открито място при входа на самарийската порта и всички пророци пророкуваха пред тях.

10 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah,

А Седекия, Ханаановият син, си направи железни рогове и каза: Така казва Господ: С тези ще буташ сирийците, докато ги довършиш.

11 W ith these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.' And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

Също и всички пророци пророкуваха така, като казваха: Иди в Рамот-галаад и ще имаш добър успех; защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

12 A nd the messenger who hath gone to call for Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets -- one mouth -- good towards the king, and let, I pray thee, thy word be like one of theirs: and thou hast spoken good.'

А пратеникът, който отиде да повика Михей, му говорѝ: Ето думите на пророците като от една уста са добри за царя; и така, моля и твоята дума да бъде като думата на всеки от тях и ти говорѝ доброто.

13 A nd Micaiah saith `Jehovah liveth, surely that which my God saith, it I speak.'

А Михей отговори: Заклевам се в живота на Господа, каквото каже Бог мой, това ще говоря.

14 A nd he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, `Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And he saith, `Go ye up, and prosper, and they are given into your hand.'

И така, дойде при царя. Той му каза: Михей, да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не идем? А пророкът отвърна: Идете и ще имате добър успех; защото неприятелите ще бъдат предадени в ръката ви.

15 A nd the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee, that thou speak unto me only truth in the name of Jehovah?'

А царят му каза: Колко пъти ще те заклевам да не ми говориш друго освен истината в Господнето име!

16 A nd he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, There are no masters to these, they turn back each to his house in peace.'

Михей отговори: Видях целия Израел, пръснат по планините като овце, които нямат овчар; и Господ каза: Тези нямат господар; нека се върнат всеки у дома си с мир.

17 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Did I not say unto thee, He doth not prophesy concerning me good, but rather of evil?'

Тогава Израелевият цар каза на Йосафат: Не ти ли казах, че няма да пророкува добро за мене, а зло?

18 A nd he saith, `Therefore, hear ye a word of Jehovah: I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing on His right and His left;

А Михей каза: И така, чуйте Господнето слово. Видях Господа, седящ на престола Си, и цялото небесно множество, стоящо около Него отдясно и отляво.

19 a nd Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab king of Israel, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? And this speaker saith thus, and that speaker thus.

Господ каза: Кой ще примами Израелевия цар Ахав, за да отиде и да падне в Рамот-галаад? И един каза едно, а друг каза друго.

20 A nd go out doth the spirit, and stand before Jehovah, and saith, I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, With what?

После излезе един дух, застана пред Господа и проговори: Аз ще го примамя. И Господ го запита: Как?

21 a nd he saith, I go out, and have become a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets. And He saith, Thou dost entice, and also, thou art able; go out and do so.

А той отвърна: Ще изляза и ще бъда лъжлив дух в устата на всичките му пророци. Тогава Господ каза: Примамвай го още и ще сполучиш; излез, направи така.

22 A nd, now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee -- evil.'

И така, сега Господ е вложил лъжлив дух в устата на тези твои пророци, обаче Господ е говорил зло за тебе.

23 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah cometh nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where this -- the way the Spirit of Jehovah passed over from me to speak with thee?'

Тогава Седекия, Ханаановият син, се приближи, зашлеви Михей по бузата и каза: През кой път мина Господният Дух от мене, за да говори на теб?

24 A nd Micaiah saith, `Lo, thou dost see in that day, that thou dost enter into the innermost chamber to be hidden.'

А Михей отговори: Ето, ще видиш в онзи ден, когато ще отиваш от стая в стая, за да се криеш.

25 A nd the king of Israel saith, `Take ye Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,

Тогава Израелевият цар нареди: Хванете Михей и го върнете при градския управител Амон и при царския син Йоас,

26 a nd ye have said, Thus said the king, Put ye this in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my return in peace.'

и кажете: Така казва царят: Хвърлете този в тъмницата и го хранете със затворническа порция хляб и вода, докато се завърна с мир.

27 A nd Micaiah saith, `If thou dost certainly return in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, `Hear ye, O peoples, all of them!'

Михей каза: Ако някога се върнеш с мир, то Господ не е говорил чрез мене. Добави още: Слушайте вие, целият народ.

28 A nd the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, unto Ramoth-Gilead;

И така, Израелевият цар и Юдейският цар Йосафат излязоха в Рамот-галаад.

29 a nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, `And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and they go into battle.

А Израелевият цар каза на Йосафат: Аз ще се преоблека, като вляза в сражението, а ти облечи одеждите си. И така, Израелевият цар се преоблече и влязоха в сражението.

30 A nd the king of Aram hath commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath, saying, `Ye do not fight with small or with great, except with the king of Israel by himself.'

А сирийският цар беше заповядал на началниците на колесниците си: Не се бийте нито с малък, нито с голям, а само с Израелевия цар.

31 A nd it cometh to pass at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they have said, `The king of Israel he is,' and they turn round against him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out, and Jehovah hath helped him, and God enticeth them from him,

А началниците на колесниците, като видяха Йосафат, казаха: Той ще да е Израелевият цар; и се отклониха, за да го ударят. Но Йосафат извика и Господ му помогна, защото Бог им повлия да се отвърнат от него.

32 y ea, it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that it hath not been the king of Israel -- they turn back from after him.

Понеже началниците на колесниците, като видяха, че не беше Израелевият цар, престанаха да го преследват и се върнаха.

33 A nd a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to the charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and thou hast brought me out of the camp, for I have become sick.'

А един човек хвърли стрела, без да се цели, и удари Израелевия цар между ставите на бронята му; затова той каза на колесничаря: Обърни юздата и ме изведи от войската, защото съм тежко ранен.

34 A nd the battle increaseth on that day, and the king of Israel hath been stayed up in the chariot over-against Aram till the evening, and he dieth at the time of the going in of the sun.

И в онзи ден сражението се усили; но Израелевият цар се удържа в колесницата си срещу сирийците до вечерта и около залез слънце умря.
