1 A nd Jehoshaphat hath riches and honour in abundance, and joineth affinity to Ahab,

А Иосафат имаше богатство и голяма слава; и направи сватовщина с Ахава.

2 a nd goeth down at the end of years unto Ahab to Samaria, and Ahab sacrificeth for him sheep and oxen in abundance, and for the people who with him, and persuadeth him to go up unto Ramoth-Gilead.

И подир няколко години слезе при Ахава в Самария. И Ахав закла много овци и говеда за него и за людете, които бяха с него; още ме положи да отиде с него в Рамот-галаад.

3 A nd Ahab king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, `Dost thou go with me Ramoth-Gilead?' And he saith to him, `As I -- so thou, and as thy people -- my people, even with thee in battle.'

Защото Израилевият цар Ахав рече на Юдовия цар Иосафата: Дохождаш ли с мене в Рамот-галаад? И той му отговори: Аз съм както си ти, и мойте люде както твоите люде; ще бъдем с тебе във войната.

4 A nd Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, this day, the word of Jehovah.'

Иосафат каза още на Израилевия цар: Моля, допитай се сега до Господното слово.

5 A nd the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And they say, `Go up, and God doth give into the hand of the king.'

Тогава Израилевият цар събра пророците си, четиристотин мъже, та им рече: Да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не ида? А те казаха: Иди, и Бог ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

6 A nd Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah still, and we seek from him?'

Обаче, Иосафат каза: Няма ли тук, освен тия някой Господен пророк, за да се допитаме чрез него?

7 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Still -- one man to seek Jehovah from him, and I -- I have hated him, for he is not prophesying concerning me of good, but all his days of evil, he Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.'

И Израилевият цар рече на Иосафата: Има още един човек, чрез когото можем да се допитаме до Господа; но аз го мразя, защото никога не пророкува добро за мене, но всякога зло; той е Михей, син на Емла. А Иосафат каза: Нека не говори така царят.

8 A nd the king of Israel calleth unto a certain officer, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'

Тогава Израилевият цар повика един скопец и рече: Доведи скоро Михея син на Емла.

9 A nd the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, and they are sitting in a threshing-floor at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.

А Израилевият цар и Юдовият цар Иосафат седяха, всеки на престола си, облечени в одеждите си; и седяха на открито място при входа на самарийската порта; и всичките пророци пророкуваха пред тях.

10 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah,

А Седекия, Ханаановият син, си направи железни рогове, и рече: Така казва Господ: С тия ще буташ сирийците догде ги довършиш.

11 W ith these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.' And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

Също и всичките пророци така пророкуваха, казвайки: Иди в Рамат-галаад, и ще имаш добър успех; защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

12 A nd the messenger who hath gone to call for Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets -- one mouth -- good towards the king, and let, I pray thee, thy word be like one of theirs: and thou hast spoken good.'

А пратеникът, който отиде да повика Михея, му говори казвайки: Ето, думите на пророците като из една уста са добри за царя; моля, прочее, и твоята дума да бъде като думата на един от тях, и ти говори доброто.

13 A nd Micaiah saith `Jehovah liveth, surely that which my God saith, it I speak.'

А Михей рече: Заклевам се в живота на Господа, каквото рече Бог мой, това ще говоря.

14 A nd he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, `Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And he saith, `Go ye up, and prosper, and they are given into your hand.'

И той, дойде при царя. И царят му каза: Михее, да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не ида? А той рече: Идете и ще имате успех; защото неприятелите ще бъдат предадени в ръката ви.

15 A nd the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee, that thou speak unto me only truth in the name of Jehovah?'

А царят му каза: Колко пъти ще те заклевам да не ми говориш друго освен истината в Господното име!

16 A nd he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, There are no masters to these, they turn back each to his house in peace.'

А той рече: Видях целият Израил пръснат по планините като овци, които нямат овчар; и Господ рече: Тия нямат господар; нека се върнат всеки у дома си с мир.

17 A nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Did I not say unto thee, He doth not prophesy concerning me good, but rather of evil?'

Тогава Израилевият цар каза на Иосафата: Не рекох ли ти, че не ще прорече добро за мене, но зло?

18 A nd he saith, `Therefore, hear ye a word of Jehovah: I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing on His right and His left;

А Михей рече: Чуйте, прочее, Господното слово. Видях Господа седящ на престола си, и цялото небесно множество стоящо около него отдясно и отляво.

19 a nd Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab king of Israel, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? And this speaker saith thus, and that speaker thus.

И Господ рече: Кой ще примами Израилевия цар Ахава за да отиде и да падне в Рамот-галаад? И един, проговаряйки, рече едно, а друг рече друго.

20 A nd go out doth the spirit, and stand before Jehovah, and saith, I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, With what?

Сетне излезе един дух та застана пред Господа и рече: Аз ще го примамя. И Господ му рече: Как?

21 a nd he saith, I go out, and have become a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets. And He saith, Thou dost entice, and also, thou art able; go out and do so.

А той каза: Ще изляза и ще бъда лъжлив дух в устата на всичките му пророци. И Господ рече: Примамвай го, още и ще сполучиш; излез, стори така.

22 A nd, now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee -- evil.'

Сега, прочее, ето, Господ е турил лъжлив дух в устата на тия твои пророци, обаче Господ е говорил зло за тебе.

23 A nd Zedekiah son of Chenaanah cometh nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where this -- the way the Spirit of Jehovah passed over from me to speak with thee?'

Тогава Седекия, Ханаановият син, се приближи та плесна Михея по бузата и каза: През кой път мина Господният Дух от мене за да говори на тебе?

24 A nd Micaiah saith, `Lo, thou dost see in that day, that thou dost enter into the innermost chamber to be hidden.'

А Михей рече: Ето, ще видиш в оня ден, когато ще отиваш из клет в клет за да се криеш.

25 A nd the king of Israel saith, `Take ye Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,

Тогава Израилевият цар каза: Хванете Михея та го върнете при градския управител Амон и при царския син Иоас,

26 a nd ye have said, Thus said the king, Put ye this in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my return in peace.'

и речете: Така казва царят: Турете тогова в тъмницата, и хранете го със затворническа порция хляб и вода догде се завърне с мир.

27 A nd Micaiah saith, `If thou dost certainly return in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, `Hear ye, O peoples, all of them!'

И рече Михей: Ако някога се върнеш с мир, то Господ не е говорил чрез мене. Рече още: Слушайте вие, всички люде.

28 A nd the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, unto Ramoth-Gilead;

И така, Израилевият цар и Юдовият цар Иосафат възлязоха в Рамот-галаад.

29 a nd the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, `And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and they go into battle.

И Израилевият цар рече на Иосафата: Аз ще се предреша като вляза в сражението, а ти облечи одеждите си. Прочее, Израилевият цар се предреши, та влязоха в сражението.

30 A nd the king of Aram hath commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath, saying, `Ye do not fight with small or with great, except with the king of Israel by himself.'

А сирийският цар бе заповядал на колесниценачалниците си, казвайки: Не се бийте нито с малък, нито с голям, но само с Израилевия цар.

31 A nd it cometh to pass at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they have said, `The king of Israel he is,' and they turn round against him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out, and Jehovah hath helped him, and God enticeth them from him,

А колесниценачалниците, като видяха Иосафата, рекоха: Тоя ще е Израилевият цар; и отклониха се за да го ударят. Но Иосафат извика; И Господ му помогна, защото Бог ги повлия да се отвърнат от него.

32 y ea, it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that it hath not been the king of Israel -- they turn back from after him.

Понеже колесниценачалниците, като видяха, че не беше Израилевият цар, престанаха да го преследват и се върнаха.

33 A nd a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to the charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and thou hast brought me out of the camp, for I have become sick.'

А един човек устрели без да мери, и удари Израилевия цар между ставите на бронята му; затова той рече на колесничаря: Обърни юздата та ме извади из войската, защото съм тежко ранен.

34 A nd the battle increaseth on that day, and the king of Israel hath been stayed up in the chariot over-against Aram till the evening, and he dieth at the time of the going in of the sun.

И в оня ден сражението се усили; но Израилевият цар се удържа в колесницата си срещу сирийците до вечерта, и около захождането на слънцето умря.
