1 A nd Hezekiah sendeth unto all Israel and Judah, and also letters he hath written unto Ephraim and Manasseh, to come in to the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem, to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel.

След това Езекия прати човеци по целия Израил и Юда, писа още и писма на Ефрема и Манасия, да ги поканят да дойдат на Господния дом в Ерусалим, за да направят пасха на Господа Израилевия Бог.

2 A nd the king taketh counsel, and his heads, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to make the passover in the second month,

Защото царят и първенците му и цялото общество в Ерусалим бяха се съветвали да направят пасхата във втория месец.

3 f or they have not been able to make it at that time, for the priests have not sanctified themselves sufficiently, and the people have not been gathered to Jerusalem.

Понеже не бяха могли да я направят в онова време, защото нямаше доволно осветени свещеници, и людете не бяха се събрали в Ерусалим.

4 A nd the thing is right in the eyes of the king, and in the eyes of all the assembly,

И това нещо се видя право на царя и на цялото общество.

5 a nd they establish the thing, to cause to pass over an intimation into all Israel, from Beer-Sheba even unto Dan, to come in to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel, in Jerusalem, for not for a long time had they done as it is written.

Затова решиха да прогласят по целия Израил, от Вирсавее дори до Дан, покана да дойдат за да направят пасха на Господа Израилевия Бог в Ерусалим; защото отдавна не бяха я празнували според предписанието.

6 A nd the runners go with letters from the hand of the king and his heads, into all Israel and Judah, even according to the command of the king, saying, `O sons of Israel, turn back unto Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He doth turn back unto the escaped part that is left of you from the hand of the kings of Asshur;

И тъй бързоходците отидоха с писмата от царя и първенците му по целия Израил и Юда, според царската заповед, и казаха: Чада на Израиля, обърнете се към Господа Бога на Авраама, на Исаака и на Израиля, за да се обърне Той към останалите от вас, които се избавихте от ръката на асирийските царе.

7 a nd do not be like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against Jehovah, God of their fathers, and He giveth them to desolation, as ye do see.

Не бъдете както бащите ви и както братята ви, които престъпваха против Господа Бога на бащите си, така щото Той ги предаде на опустошение, както виждате.

8 ` Now, harden not your neck like your fathers, give a hand to Jehovah, and come in to His sanctuary, that He hath sanctified to the age, and serve Jehovah your God, and the fierceness of His anger doth turn back from you;

Сега не закоравявайте врата си, както сториха бащите ви, но предайте се Господу и влезте в светилището Му, което е осветил за винаги, и служете на Господа вашия Бог, за да отвърне от вас яростния Си гняв.

9 f or in your turning back unto Jehovah, your brethren and your sons have mercies before their captors, even to return to this land, for gracious and merciful Jehovah your God, and He doth not turn aside the face from you, if ye turn back unto Him.'

Защото, ако се обърне, към Господа, то на братята ви и чадата ви ще се покаже милост от тия, които са ги пленили, и те ще се върнат в тая земя; защото щедър и милостив е Господ вашият Бог, и няма да отвърне лицето Си от вас, ако вие се обърнете към Него.

10 A nd the runners are passing over from city to city, in the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even unto Zebulun: and they are laughing at them, and mocking at them,

Така бързоходците минаха от град на град през Ефремовата и Манасиевата земя дори до Завулон; но те им се присмяха и подиграха се с тях.

11 o nly, certain from Asher, and Manasseh, and from Zebulun, have been humbled, and come in to Jerusalem.

Някои обаче от Асира, Манасия и Завулона се смириха и дойдоха в Ерусалим.

12 A lso, in Judah hath the hand of God been to give to them one heart to do the command of the king and of the heads, in the matter of Jehovah;

А и над Юда бе Божията ръка, за да им даде едно сърце да постъпят по заповедта на царя и на първенците според Господното слово.

13 a nd much people are gathered to Jerusalem, to make the feast of unleavened things in the second month -- a mighty assembly for multitude.

И събраха се в Ерусалим много народ, за да пазят празника на безквасните хлябове във втория месец; беше твърде голямо събрание.

14 A nd they arise and turn aside the altars that in Jerusalem, and all the perfume altars they have turned aside, and cast to the brook Kidron;

И станаха та отметнаха жертвениците, които бяха в Ерусалим, отмахнаха и всичките кадилни олтари, та ги хвърлиха в потока Кедрон.

15 a nd they slaughter the passover-offering on the fourteenth of the second month, and the priests and the Levites have been ashamed, and sanctify themselves, and bring in burnt-offerings to the house of Jehovah.

Тогава заклаха пасхалните агнета в четиринадесетия ден от втория месец; и свещениците и левитите, засрамени се осветиха, и внесоха всеизгаряния в Господния дом.

16 A nd they stand on their station according to their ordinance; according to the law of Moses the man of God the priests are sprinkling the blood out of the hand of the Levites,

И застанаха на мястото си, според чина си, съгласно закона на Божия човек Моисей; и свещениците пръскаха кръвта, която я вземаха от ръката на левитите.

17 f or many in the assembly who have not sanctified themselves, and the Levites over the slaughtering of the passover-offerings for every one not clean, to sanctify to Jehovah:

Защото имаше мнозина в събранието, които не бяха се осветили; за това левитите взеха грижата да заколят пасхалните агнета, за да се осветят Господу.

18 f or a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, have not been cleansed, but have eaten the passover otherwise than it is written; but Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, `Jehovah, who good, doth receive atonement for every one

Понеже голяма част от людете, мнозина от Ефрема, Манасия, Исахара и Завулона, не бяха се очистили, но ядоха пасхата не според предписанието; защото Езекия бе се помолил за тях, казвайки: Благий Господ да бъде милостив към всекиго,

19 w ho hath prepared his heart to seek God -- Jehovah, God of his fathers -- yet not according to the cleansing of the sanctuary;'

който утвърждава сърцето си да търси Бога, Господа Бога на бащите си, ако и да не е очистен според очистването изискано за светилището.

20 a nd Jehovah hearkeneth unto Hezekiah, and healeth the people.

И Господ послуша Езекия та прости людете.

21 A nd the sons of Israel, those found in Jerusalem, make the feast of unleavened things seven days with great joy; and giving praise to Jehovah day by day are the Levites and the priests, with instruments of praise before Jehovah.

И израилтяните, които се намираха в Ерусалим, пазиха празника на безквасните хлябове седем дни с голямо веселие; и всеки ден левитите и свещениците славословеха Господа, пеещи с музикални инструменти на Господа.

22 A nd Hezekiah speaketh unto the heart of all the Levites, those giving good understanding concerning Jehovah, and they eat the appointed thing seven days; sacrificing sacrifices of peace-offerings, and making confession to Jehovah, God of their fathers.

И Езекия говори насърчително на всичките левити, които разбираха добре Господната служба. Така през седемте празнични дни те ядяха, като жертвуваха примирителни жертви и славословеха Господа Бога на бащите си.

23 A nd all the assembly take counsel to keep other seven days, and they keep seven days joy;

Тогава цялото общество се съветва да празнуват още седем дни; и празнуваха още седем дни с веселие.

24 f or Hezekiah king of Judah hath presented to the assembly a thousand bullocks, and seven thousand sheep; and the heads have presented to the assembly bullocks a thousand, and sheep ten thousand; and priests sanctify themselves in abundance.

Защото Юдовият цар Езекия подари на обществото за жертви хиляда юнеца и седем хиляди овце; и първенците подариха на обществото хиляда юнеца и десет хиляди овце; и много свещеници осветиха себе си.

25 A nd all the assembly of Judah rejoice, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the assembly, those coming in from Israel, and the sojourners, those coming in from the land of Israel, and those dwelling in Judah,

И развеселиха се всички събрани от Юда, със свещениците и левитите, и всички събрани надошли от Израиля, и чужденците надошли от Израилевата земя, които живееха в Юда.

26 a nd there is great joy in Jerusalem; for from the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there is not like this in Jerusalem,

Така стана голямо веселие в Ерусалим; защото от времето на Израилевия цар Соломона, Давидовия син, не бе станало такова нещо в Ерусалим.

27 a nd the priests, the Levites, rise and bless the people, and their voice is heard, and their prayer cometh in to His holy habitation, to the heavens.

След това левитите, свещениците, станаха та благословиха людете; и гласът им биде послушан от Господа, и молитвата им възлезе на небето. Неговото свето обиталище.
