1 A nd it cometh to pass after these things that God hath tried Abraham, and saith unto him, `Abraham;' and he saith, `Here I.'

След тези събития Бог изпита Авраам, като му каза: Аврааме. А той отговори: Ето ме.

2 A nd He saith, `Take, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou hast loved, even Isaac, and go for thyself unto the land of Moriah, and cause him to ascend there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains of which I speak unto thee.'

И Бог каза: Вземи сега единствения си син, когото обичаш, сина си Исаак, и иди в местността Мория, и го принеси там във всеизгаряне на един от хълмовете, за който ще ти кажа.

3 A nd Abraham riseth early in the morning, and saddleth his ass, and taketh two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and he cleaveth the wood of the burnt-offering, and riseth and goeth unto the place of which God hath spoken to him.

И така, на сутринта Авраам подрани и оседла осела си, и взе със себе си и двама от слугите си и сина си Исаак; и като нацепи дърва за всеизгарянето, стана и отиде на мястото, за което Бог му беше казал.

4 O n the third day -- Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the place from afar;

На третия ден Авраам видя мястото отдалеч.

5 a nd Abraham saith unto his young men, `Remain by yourselves here with the ass, and I and the youth go yonder and worship, and turn back unto you.'

Тогава Авраам каза на слугите си: Вие останете тук с осела; а аз и момчето ще отидем дотам и като се поклоним, ще се върнем при вас.

6 A nd Abraham taketh the wood of the burnt-offering, and placeth on Isaac his son, and he taketh in his hand the fire, and the knife; and they go on both of them together.

И Авраам взе дървата за всеизгарянето и ги натовари на сина си Исаак, а той взе със себе си огън и нож; и двамата отидоха заедно.

7 A nd Isaac speaketh unto Abraham his father, and saith, `My father,' and he saith, `Here I, my son.' And he saith, `Lo, the fire and the wood, and where the lamb for a burnt-offering?'

Тогава Исаак проговори на баща си Авраам: Татко! А той отвърна: Ето ме, синко. И Исаак каза: Ето огъня и дървата, а къде е агнето за всеизгарянето?

8 a nd Abraham saith, `God doth provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son;' and they go on both of them together.

Авраам отговори: Синко, Бог ще си промисли агнето за всеизгаряне. И двамата вървяха заедно.

9 A nd they come in unto the place of which God hath spoken to him, and there Abraham buildeth the altar, and arrangeth the wood, and bindeth Isaac his son, and placeth him upon the altar above the wood;

А като стигнаха на мястото, за което Бог му беше казал, Авраам издигна там жертвеник, нареди дървата и като върза сина си Исаак, сложи го на жертвеника върху дървата.

10 a nd Abraham putteth forth his hand, and taketh the knife -- to slaughter his son.

И Авраам простря ръката си и взе ножа да заколи сина си.

11 A nd the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto him from the heavens, and saith, `Abraham, Abraham;' and he saith, `Here I;'

Тогава ангел Господен му викна от небето и каза: Аврааме, Аврааме! И той отговори: Ето ме.

12 a nd He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.'

Ангелът каза: Да не вдигнеш ръката си върху момчето, нито да му направиш нещо; защото сега зная, че ти се боиш от Бога, понеже не пожали за Мен и сина си, единствения си син.

13 A nd Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son;

Тогава Авраам повдигна очи и видя, че зад него има овен, вплетен с рогата си в един храст; и Авраам отиде, взе овена и го принесе всеизгаряне вместо сина си.

14 a nd Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,' because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.'

И Авраам нарече това място Йехова-ире; и така се казва и до днес: На хълма Господ ще промисли.

15 A nd the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto Abraham a second time from the heavens,

Тогава втори път ангел Господен викна на Авраам от небето и каза:

16 a nd saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one --

В Себе Си се заклевам, казва Господ, че понеже си направил това нещо и не пожали сина си, единствения си син,

17 t hat blessing I bless thee, and multiplying I multiply thy seed as stars of the heavens, and as sand which on the sea-shore; and thy seed doth possess the gate of his enemies;

ще те благословя премного и ще умножа и преумножа потомството ти като небесните звезди и като пясъка на морския бряг; и потомството ти ще завладее портата на неприятелите си;

18 a nd blessed themselves in thy seed have all nations of the earth, because that thou hast hearkened to My voice.'

в твоето потомство ще се благословят всички народи на земята, защото си послушал гласа Ми.

19 A nd Abraham turneth back unto his young men, and they rise and go together unto Beer-Sheba; and Abraham dwelleth in Beer-Sheba.

И така, Авраам се върна при слугите си и станаха и отидоха заедно във Вирсавее; и Авраам се настани във Вирсавее.

20 A nd it cometh to pass after these things that it is declared to Abraham, saying, `Lo, Milcah hath borne, even she, sons to Nahor thy brother:

А след тези събития известиха на Авраам: Ето, и Мелха роди синове на брат му Нахор:

21 H uz his first-born, and Buz his brother; and Kemuel father of Aram,

първородния му Уз, брат му Вуз, Камуил, Арамовия баща,

22 a nd Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel;

Кесед, Азав, Фалдес, Едлаф и Ватуил.

23 a nd Bethuel hath begotten Rebekah;' these eight hath Milcah borne to Nahor, Abraham's brother;

А Ватуил роди Ревека. Тези осем сина роди Мелха на Нахор, Авраамовия брат.

24 a nd his concubine, whose name Reumah, she also hath borne Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maachah.

Също и наложницата му, на име Ревма, роди Тевек, Гаам, Тахас и Мааха.
