1 A nd it cometh to pass afterwards, that Absalom prepareth for himself a chariot, and horses, and fifty men are running before him;

След това Авесалом си набави колесници и коне и петдесет мъже, които да тичат пред него.

2 a nd Absalom hath risen early, and stood by the side of the way of the gate, and it cometh to pass, every man who hath a pleading to come unto the king for judgment, that Absalom calleth unto him, and saith, `Of what city thou?' and he saith, `Of one of the tribes of Israel thy servant.'

И Авесалом ставаше рано, заставаше край пътя до портата; и когато някой имаше дело, за което трябваше да дойде пред царя за съд, Авесалом го викаше и го питаше: От кой град си? А той отговаряше: Слугата ти е от еди-кое си Израелево племе.

3 A nd Absalom saith unto him, `See, thy matters good and straightforward -- and there is none hearkening to thee from the king.'

Тогава Авесалом му казваше: Виж, твоята работа е добра и права, но от страна на царя няма кой да те чуе.

4 A nd Absalom saith, `Who doth make me a judge in the land, that unto me doth come every man who hath a plea and judgment? -- then I have declared him righteous.'

Авесалом прибавяше още: Да бях само поставен съдия на тази страна, за да може да идва при мене всеки, който има спор или дело, за да го оправдавам!

5 A nd it hath come to pass, in the drawing nearing of any one to bow himself to him, that he hath put forth his hand, and laid hold on him, and given a kiss to him;

И когато някой се приближаваше да му се поклони, той протягаше ръка, прегръщаше го и го целуваше.

6 a nd Absalom doth according to this thing to all Israel who come in for judgment unto the king, and Absalom stealeth the heart of the men of Israel.

Така постъпваше Авесалом с всеки израелтянин, който идваше при царя за съд. По този начин Авесалом подмамваше сърцата на Израелевите мъже.

7 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of forty years, that Absalom saith unto the king, `Let me go, I pray thee, and I complete my vow, that I vowed to Jehovah in Hebron,

След като изминаха четири години, Авесалом каза на царя: Моля, позволи ми да отида в Хеврон, за да изпълня оброка, който направих на Господа.

8 f or a vow hath thy servant vowed in my dwelling in Geshur, in Aram, saying, If Jehovah doth certainly bring me back to Jerusalem, then I have served Jehovah.'

Слугата ти направи оброк, когато живееше в Гесур, в Сирия, като казах: Ако наистина Господ ме върне в Йерусалим, тогава ще послужа на Господа.

9 A nd the king saith to him, `Go in peace;' and he riseth and goeth to Hebron,

Царят му каза: Иди с мир. И така, той тръгна и отиде в Хеврон.

10 a nd Absalom sendeth spies through all the tribes of Israel, saying, `At your hearing the voice of the trumpet, then ye have said, Absalom hath reigned in Hebron.'

А Авесалом разпрати шпиони по всички Израелеви племена да казват: Щом чуете тръбния звук, кажете: Авесалом се възцари в Хеврон.

11 A nd with Absalom have gone two hundred men, out of Jerusalem, invited ones, and they are going in their simplicity, and have not known anything;

А с Авесалом тръгнаха от Йерусалим двеста мъже; те бяха поканени и отидоха чистосърдечно, без да знаят нещо.

12 a nd Absalom sendeth Ahithophel the Gilonite, a counsellor of David, out of his city, out of Gilo, in his sacrificing sacrifices; and the conspiracy is strong, and the people are going and increasing with Absalom.

После, докато принасяше жертвите, Авесалом покани Давидовия съветник, гилонеца Ахитофел, от града му Гило. И заговорът беше силен, понеже народът постоянно се умножаваше около Авесалом.

13 A nd he who is declaring tidings cometh in unto David, saying, `The heart of the men of Israel hath been after Absalom.'

Тогава при Давид дойде вестоносец и му каза: Сърцата на Израелевите мъже се обърнаха към Авесалом.

14 A nd David saith to all his servants who with him in Jerusalem, `Rise, and we flee, for we have no escape from the face of Absalom; haste to go, lest he hasten, and have overtaken us, and forced on us evil, and smitten the city by the mouth of the sword.'

А Давид нареди на всички слуги, които бяха с него в Йерусалим: Станете да бягаме, иначе никой от нас няма да може да се спаси от Авесалом. Побързайте да вървим, да не би да ни застигне скоро, да докара зло върху нас и да порази града с острието на меча.

15 A nd the servants of the king say unto the king, `According to all that my lord the king chooseth -- lo, thy servants.'

Царските слуги казаха на царя: Слугите ти са готови да вършат всичко, което избере господарят ни, царят.

16 A nd the king goeth out, and all his household at his feet, and the king leaveth ten women -- concubines -- to keep the house.

И така, царят излезе и целият му дом след него. А царят остави десет жени, наложници, да пазят къщата.

17 A nd the king goeth out, and all the people at his feet, and they stand still at the farthest off house.

Царят излезе и целият народ го последва, и се спряха на едно далечно място.

18 A nd all his servants are passing on at his side, and all the Cherethite, and all the Pelethite, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came at his feet from Gath, are passing on at the front of the king.

Всичките му слуги вървяха близо до него, а всички херетци, фелетци и гетци, шестстотин мъже, които го бяха последвали от Гет, вървяха пред царя.

19 A nd the king saith unto Ittai the Gittite, `Why dost thou go -- thou also -- with us? turn back -- and abide with the king, for thou a stranger, and also an exile thou -- to thy place.

Тогава царят каза на гетеца Итай: Защо идваш и ти с нас? Върни се и остани с царя, защото си чужденец и си се преселил от мястото си.

20 Y esterday thy coming in, and to-day I move thee to go with us, and I am going on that which I am going! -- turn back, and take back thy brethren with thee, -- kindness and truth.'

Ти дойде вчера; и днес да те карам ли да скиташ с нас? Аз ще ида където мога, а ти се върни. Заведи с теб и братята си. Милост и вярност да бъдат с теб!

21 A nd Ittai answereth the king and saith, `Jehovah liveth, and my lord the king liveth, surely in the place where my lord the king is -- if for death, if for life, surely there is thy servant.'

А Итай отговори на царя: Заклевам се в живота на Господа и в живота на господаря ми, царя, където и да бъде господарят ми, царят, било за смърт, било за живот, там ще бъде и слугата ти.

22 A nd David saith unto Ittai, `Go and pass over;' and Ittai the Gittite passeth over, and all his men, and all the infants who with him.

Тогава Давид каза на Итай: Иди и премини. И така, преминаха гетецът Итай и всичките му мъже, и всички деца, които бяха с него.

23 A nd all the land are weeping -- a great voice, and all the people are passing over; and the king is passing over through the brook Kidron, and all the people are passing over on the front of the way of the wilderness;

А хората от цялата местност плачеха със силен глас, докато преминаваше целият народ. Царят премина потока Кедрон и целият народ потегли по пътя за пустинята.

24 a nd lo, also Zadok, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God, and they make the ark of God firm, and Abiathar goeth up, till the completion of all the people to pass over out of the city.

Дойде и Садок и заедно с него - всички левити, които носеха ковчега за плочите на Божия завет. И сложиха Божия ковчег ( при който се качи и Авиатар), докато целият народ излезе от града.

25 A nd the king saith to Zadok, `Take back the ark of God to the city; if I find grace in the eyes of Jehovah, then He hath brought me back, and shewn me it and His habitation;

Тогава царят каза на Садок: Върни Божия ковчег в града. Ако придобия благоволението на Господа, Той ще ме възвърне, за да видя Него и обиталището Му.

26 a nd if thus He say, I have not delighted in thee; here I, He doth to me as good in His eyes.'

Но ако каже така: Нямам благоволение в теб, ето ме, нека ми стори каквото Му се вижда за добро.

27 A nd the king saith unto Zadok the priest, `Art thou a seer? turn back to the city in peace, and Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan son of Abiathar, your two sons with you;

Царят каза още на свещеника Садок: Нали си ясновидец? Върни се в града с мир. С вас нека се върнат и двамата ви сина - твоят син Ахимаас и Авиатаровият син Йонатан.

28 s ee ye, I am tarrying in the plains of the wilderness till the coming in of a word from you to declare to me.'

Аз ще се бавя при бродовете в пустинята, докато дойде вест от вас, за да знам какво да направя.

29 A nd Zadok taketh back -- and Abiathar -- the ark of God to Jerusalem, and they abide there.

И така, Садок и Авиатар върнаха Божия ковчег в Йерусалим и останаха там.

30 A nd David is going up in the ascent of the olives, going up and weeping, and he hath the head covered, and he is going barefooted, and all the people who with him have covered each his head, and have gone up, going up and weeping;

А Давид се изкачваше по възвишението на маслинения хълм и плачеше, като се изкачваше. Вървеше бос и с покрита глава. И всички хора, които бяха с него, покриваха всеки главата си и плачеха, като се изкачваха.

31 a nd David declared, saying, `Ahithophel among the conspirators with Absalom;' and David saith, `Make foolish, I pray Thee, the counsel of Ahithophel, O Jehovah.'

Тогава известиха на Давид, че и Ахитофел е между заговорниците с Авесалом. А Давид каза: Господи, моля Ти се, осуети съвета на Ахитофел.

32 A nd it cometh to pass, David hath come unto the top, where he boweth himself to God, and lo, to meet him Hushai the Archite, his coat rent, and earth on his head;

И когато Давид стигна на върха на хълма, където ставаше богопоклонение, архиецът Хусай го посрещна с раздраната си дреха и с пръст на главата си.

33 a nd David saith to him, `If thou hast passed on with me then thou hast been on me for a burden,

Давид му каза: Ако дойдеш с мене, ще ми бъдеш в тежест,

34 a nd if to the city thou dost turn back, and hast said to Absalom, Thy servant I am, O king; servant of thy father I also hitherto, and now, I also thy servant; then thou hast made void for me the counsel of Ahithophel;

но ако се върнеш в града и кажеш на Авесалом: Царю, ще ти бъда слуга; както бях слуга на баща ти досега, така ще бъда слуга на тебе,тогава можеш да осуетиш в моя полза съвета на Ахитофел.

35 a nd are there not with thee there Zadok and Abiathar the priests? and it hath been, the whole of the matter that thou hearest from the house of the king thou dost declare to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests.

Не са ли там с тебе свещениците Садок и Авиатар? И така, всичко, каквото би чул от царския дом, съобщи на свещениците Садок и Авиатар.

36 L o, there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz to Zadok, and Jonathan to Abiathar, and ye have sent by their hand unto me anything that ye hear.'

Там с тях са двамата им сина, Ахимаас Садоков и Йонатан Авиатаров. Чрез тях ми съобщавайте всичко, каквото узнаете.

37 A nd Hushai, David's friend, cometh in to the city, and Absalom cometh in to Jerusalem.

И така, Давидовият приятел Хусай влезе в града. Също и Авесалом влезе в Йерусалим.
