1 A nd the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Jehovah, and cometh to try him with enigmas,

Савската царица, като чу, че Соломон се прочува като служител на Господнето име, дойде да го изпита с трудни за нея въпроси.

2 a nd she cometh to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she cometh unto Solomon, and speaketh unto him all that hath been with her heart.

Дойде в Йерусалим с много голяма свита, с камили, натоварени с аромати и с твърде много злато и скъпоценни камъни. Като дойде при Соломон, говорѝ с него за всичко, което имаше на сърцето си.

3 A nd Solomon declareth to her all her matters -- there hath not been a thing hid from the king that he hath not declared to her.

И Соломон отговори на всичките ѝ въпроси. Нямаше нищо скрито за царя, което да не можа да ѝ обясни.

4 A nd the queen of Sheba seeth all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,

А Савската царица, като видя цялата мъдрост на Соломон и къщата, която беше построил,

5 a nd the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causeth to ascend in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been in her any more spirit.

ястията на трапезата му, сядането на слугите му и прислужването на служителите му, и облеклото им, и виночерпците му, и възвишението, по което се отиваше в Господния дом, не остана съмнение в нея.

6 A nd she saith unto the king, `True hath been the word that I heard in my land, concerning thy matters and thy wisdom;

Тогава тя каза на царя: Верен беше слухът, който чух в земята си, за твоето състояние и за мъдростта ти.

7 a nd I gave no credence to the words till that I have come, and my eyes see, and lo, it was not declared to me -- the half; thou hast added wisdom and goodness unto the report that I heard.

Аз не вярвах на думите, докато не дойдох и не видях с очите си. Но дори и половината не ми е била казана! Мъдростта и благоденствието ти надминават слуха, който бях чула.

8 O the happiness of thy men, O the happiness of thy servants -- these -- who are standing before thee continually, who are hearing thy wisdom!

Блажени да бъдат мъжете ти, блажени тези твои слуги, които стоят винаги пред теб и слушат мъдростта ти.

9 J ehovah thy God is blessed who delighted in thee, to put thee on the throne of Israel; in Jehovah's loving Israel to the age He doth set thee for king, to do judgment and righteousness.

Да бъде благословен Господ, твоят Бог, Който прояви благоволение към тебе да те постави на Израелевия престол. Понеже Господ е възлюбил Израел завинаги, затова те е поставил цар, за да раздаваш правосъдие и да вършиш правда.

10 A nd she giveth to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices very many, and precious stone; there came not like that spice any more for abundance that the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

И тя даде на царя сто и двадесет таланта злато, много аромати и скъпоценни камъни. Нямаше по-голямо изобилие от аромати, каквито бяха онези, които Савската царица даде на Соломон.

11 A nd also, the navy of Hiram that bore gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir almug-trees very many, and precious stone;

Още и Хирамовите кораби, които донасяха злато от Офир, донасяха оттам и голямо изобилие от алмугови дървета и скъпоценни камъни.

12 a nd the king maketh the almug-trees a support for the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; there have not come such almug-trees, nor have there been seen unto this day.

А от алмуговите дървета царят направи прегради в Господния дом и в царската къща, също и арфи и псалтири за певците. Такива алмугови дървета не са били докарвани, нито са били виждани до днес.

13 A nd king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which he gave to her as a memorial of king Solomon, and she turneth and goeth to her land, she and her servants.

А цар Соломон даде на Савската царица всичко, което тя желаеше. Даде ѝ всичко, каквото поиска, освен това, което цар Соломон ѝ даде доброволно. Така тя се върна със слугите си и си отиде в своята земя. Богатството на Соломон

14 A nd the weight of the gold that hath come to Solomon in one year is six hundred sixty and six talents of gold,

А теглото на златото, което идваше за Соломон всяка година, беше шестстотин шестдесет и шест златни таланта,

15 a part from the tourists, and of the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the land.

освен това, което се внасяше от купувачите, от товарите на търговците, от всички арабски царе и от управителите на страната.

16 A nd king Solomon maketh two hundred targets of alloyed gold -- six hundred of gold go up on the one target;

Цар Соломон направи двеста щита от ковано злато - шестстотин сикъла злато бяха похарчени за всеки щит;

17 a nd three hundred shields of alloyed gold -- three pounds of gold go up on the one shield; and the king putteth them the house of the forest of Lebanon.

и триста по-малки щита от ковано злато - три фунта злато бяха похарчени за всеки по-малък щит. И царят ги постави в къщата от ливанско дърво.

18 A nd the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with refined gold;

Царят направи един великолепен престол от слонова кост, който позлати с най-чисто злато.

19 s ix steps hath the throne, and a round top to the throne behind it, and hands on this and on that, unto the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,

Престолът имаше шест стъпала, върхът на престола беше кръгъл отзад и имаше облегалки от двете страни на седалището. Два лъва стояха край облегалките.

20 a nd twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this and on that; it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

А там, върху шестте стъпала, от двете страни стояха дванадесет лъва. Подобно нещо не е било направено в никое царство.

21 A nd all the drinking vessels of king Solomon of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon of refined gold -- there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,

Всички съдове за пиене на цар Соломон бяха златни и всички съдове в къщата от ливанско дърво - от чисто злато. Нито един не беше от сребро. Среброто се смяташе за нищо в Соломоновото време.

22 f or a navy of Tarshish hath the king at sea with a navy of Hiram; once in three years cometh the navy of Tarshish, bearing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

Царят имаше по море кораби, като тарсийските, заедно с корабите на Хирам. Веднъж на три години тарсийските кораби идваха и донасяха злато и сребро, слонова кост, маймуни и пауни.

23 A nd king Solomon is greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom,

Така цар Соломон надмина всички царе на света по богатство и мъдрост.

24 a nd all the earth is seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom that God hath put into his heart,

Целият свят търсеше Соломоновото присъствие, за да чуят мъдростта, която Бог беше вложил в сърцето му.

25 a nd they are bringing each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.

И всяка година всеки от тях донасяше подаръка си: сребърни и златни вещи, облекла, оръжия и аромати, коне и мулета.

26 A nd Solomon gathereth chariots, and horsemen, and he hath a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placeth them in the cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.

Соломон събра също така колесници и конници. Той имаше хиляда и четиристотин колесници и дванадесет хиляди конници, които настани в градовете за колесниците и при себе си в Йерусалим.

27 A nd the king maketh the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he hath made as the sycamores that in the low country, for abundance.

И царят направи среброто да изобилства в Йерусалим като камъни, а кедрите направи като полските черници.

28 A nd the outgoing of the horses that king Solomon hath from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;

Конете, които имаше Соломон, бяха докарани от Египет. Царските търговци ги купуваха на стада с определена цена.

29 a nd a chariot cometh up and cometh out of Egypt for six hundred silverlings, and a horse for fifty and a hundred, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram; by their hand they bring out.

А всяка колесница, идваща от Египет и докарана в Йерусалим, струваше шестстотин сребърни сикъла и всеки кон - сто и петдесет. За всички хетейски царе и за сирийските царе те се доставяха чрез тези търговци.
