1 I n the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, come hath Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force unto Jerusalem, and they lay siege against it;

Когато беше превзет Йерусалим, в деветата година на Юдейския цар Седекия, в десетия месец, вавилонският цар Навуходоносор беше дошъл с цялата си войска против Йерусалим и го обсади.

2 i n the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, in the ninth of the month, hath the city been broken up;

А в единадесетата година на Седекия, в четвъртия месец, на деветия ден от месеца, в градската стена бе отворен пролом

3 a nd come in do all the heads of the king of Babylon, and they sit at the middle gate, Nergal-Sharezer, Samgar-Nebo, Sarsechim, chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the rest of the heads of the king of Babylon.

и всички първенци на вавилонския цар - Нергал-саресер, Самгарнево, началникът на евнусите Серсехим, началникът на мъдреците Нергал-саресер и всички други първенци на вавилонския цар - влязоха и седнаха в средната порта.

4 A nd it cometh to pass, when Zedekiah king of Judah, and all the men of war, have seen them, that they flee and go forth by night from the city, the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he goeth forth the way of the plain.

А Юдейският цар Седекия и всички военни мъже, когато ги видяха, побегнаха и излязоха през нощта от града по пътя на царската градина, през портата, която е между двете стени; и излязоха по пътя към полето.

5 A nd the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after them, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and they take him, and bring him up unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaketh with him -- judgments.

А войската на халдейците ги преследва и настигнаха Седекия в йерихонските полета; и като го хванаха, заведоха го при вавилонския цар Навуходоносор, в Ривла, в земята Емат, където той издаде присъда над него.

6 A nd the king of Babylon slaughtereth the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah, before his eyes, yea, all the freemen of Judah hath the king of Babylon slaughtered.

Тогава вавилонският цар закла синовете на Седекия в Ривла пред очите му, както и всички Юдейски благородни.

7 A nd the eyes of Zedekiah he hath blinded, and he bindeth him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon.

При това избоде очите на Седекия и го окова с две медни окови, за да го заведе във Вавилон.

8 A nd the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down.

А халдейците изгориха с огън царския дворец и къщите на народа и събориха йерусалимските стени.

9 A nd the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to him, and the remnant of the people who are left, hath Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, removed Babylon.

Тогава началникът на телохранителите Навузардан закара пленници във Вавилон - оцелелите от народа, които останаха в града, бежанците, прибегнали при него, и оцелелите от народа, които останаха.

10 A nd of the poor people, who have nothing, hath Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left in the land of Judah, and he giveth to them vineyards and fields on the same day.

А началникът на телохранителите Навузардан остави в Юдейската земя някои от народа, по-бедните, които нямаха нищо, като същевременно им даде лозя и ниви.

11 A nd Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon giveth a charge concerning Jeremiah, by the hand of Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, saying,

А вавилонският цар Навуходоносор заръча на началника на телохранителите Навузардан относно Йеремия:

12 ` Take him, and place thine eyes upon him, and do no evil thing to him, but as he speaketh unto thee, so do with him.'

Вземи го и имай грижа за него, и да не му сториш никакво зло, а каквото ти каже, това да му направиш.

13 A nd Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners sendeth, and Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;

И така, началникът на телохранителите Навузардан прати също началника на евнусите Навусазван, началника на мъдреците Нергал-саресер и всички по-главни служители на вавилонския цар

14 y ea, they send and take Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and give him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to carry him home, and he dwelleth in the midst of the people.

и те пратиха да вземат Йеремия от двора на стражата, и го предадоха на Годолия, сина на Ахикам, Сафановия син, за да го заведе в някоя къща; така той живееше между народа.

15 A nd unto Jeremiah hath a word of Jehovah been -- in his being detained in the court of the prison -- saying:

А Господнето слово беше дошло към Йеремия, когато беше затворен в двора на стражата, и беше казало:

16 ` Go, and thou hast spoken to Ebed-Melech the Cushite, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: Lo, I am bringing in My words unto this city for evil, and not for good, and they have been before thee in that day.

Иди и говори на етиопянина Авдемелех: Така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Ето, Аз ще направя да се сбъднат Моите думи върху този град за зло, а не за добро; и те ще се изпълнят пред тебе в онзи ден.

17 A nd I have delivered thee in that day -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- and thou art not given into the hand of the men of whose face thou art afraid,

Но тебе ще избавя в онзи ден, казва Господ, и няма да бъдеш предаден в ръцете на хората, от чието лице се боиш.

18 f or I do certainly deliver thee, and by sword thou fallest not, and thy life hath been to thee for a spoil, for thou hast trusted in Me -- an affirmation of Jehovah.'

Защото непременно ще те избавя; и няма да паднеш от меч, а животът ти ще ти бъде като подарък, понеже си уповавал на Мене, казва Господ.
