1 A nd the heads of the fathers of the families of the sons of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, come near, and speak before Moses, and before the princes, heads of the fathers of the sons of Israel,

Тогава началниците на бащините домове от семействата на потомците на Галаад, син на Махир, Манасиевия син, от семействата на Йосифовите потомци, се приближиха и говориха пред Моисей и пред първенците, началниците на бащините домове на израелтяните:

2 a nd say, Jehovah commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the sons of Israel, and my lord hath been commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

Господ заповяда на господаря ни да даде земята за наследство на израелтяните с жребий; и господарят ни получи заповед от Господа да даде наследството на брат ни Салпаад на дъщерите му.

3 ` And -- they have been to one of the sons of the tribes of the sons of Israel for wives, and their inheritance hath been withdrawn from the inheritance of our fathers, and hath been added to the inheritance of the tribe which is theirs, and from the lot of our inheritance it is withdrawn,

Но ако те се омъжат за някого от синовете на другите племена на израелтяните, тогава наследството им ще бъде отнето от наследството на нашите бащи и ще бъде прибавено към наследството на онова племе, което ще ги вземе за жени; така то ще бъде отнето от наследството, което ни дава жребият.

4 a nd if it is the jubilee of the sons of Israel, then hath their inheritance been added to the inheritance of the tribe which is theirs, and from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers is their inheritance withdrawn.'

Даже когато дойде юбилеят на израелтяните, тогава наследството им ще бъде прибавено към наследството на онова племе, което ще ги е взело; и така, наследството им ще бъде отнето от наследството на бащиното ни племе.

5 A nd Moses commandeth the sons of Israel, by the command of Jehovah, saying, `Rightly are the tribe of the sons of Joseph speaking;

И така, според Господнето слово Моисей заповяда на израелтяните: Племето на Йосифовите потомци говори право.

6 t his the thing which Jehovah hath commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, To those good in their eyes let them be for wives; only, to a family of the tribe of their fathers let them be for wives;

Ето какво заповяда Господ за Салпаадовите дъщери; Той казва: Нека се омъжат за когото им се види добре, стига само да се омъжат за мъже от семейството на бащиното си племе.

7 a nd the inheritance of the sons of Israel doth not turn round from tribe unto tribe; for each to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers, do the sons of Israel cleave.

По този начин никое наследство на израелтяните няма да премине от племе на племе; защото израелтяните трябва да се привързват, всеки за наследството на бащиното си племе.

8 ` And every daughter possessing an inheritance, of the tribes of the sons of Israel, is to one of the family of the tribe of her father for a wife, so that the sons of Israel possess each the inheritance of his fathers,

Всяка дъщеря, която има наследство в някое племе на израелтяните, трябва да се омъжи за един от семейството на бащиното си племе, така че израелтяните да притежават всеки бащиното си наследство.

9 a nd the inheritance doth not turn round from tribe to another tribe; for each to his inheritance do they cleave, the tribes of the sons of Israel.'

Наследството да не преминава от едно племе в друго, а племената на израелтяните да се привързват, всяко за своето наследство.

10 A s Jehovah hath commanded Moses, so have the daughters of Zelophehad done,

И Салпаадовите дъщери направиха, както Господ заповяда на Моисей;

11 a nd Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, daughters of Zelophehad, are to the sons of their fathers' brethren for wives;

защото Маала, Терса, Егла, Мелха и Нуа, Салпаадовите дъщери, се омъжиха за синовете на чичовците си;

12 o f the families of the sons of Manasseh, son of Joseph, they have been for wives, and their inheritance is with the tribe of the family of their father.

омъжиха се за мъже от семействата на потомците на Манасия, Йосифовия син; и така наследството им остана в племето на бащиното им семейство.

13 T hese the commands and the judgments which Jehovah hath commanded, by the hand of Moses, concerning the sons of Israel, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, Jericho.

Тези са законите и наредбите, които Господ заповяда на израелтяните чрез Моисей на моавските полета при Йордан, срещу Йерихон.
