1 A nd draw near do the days of David to die, and he chargeth Solomon his son, saying,

2 ` I am going in the way of all the earth, and thou hast been strong, and become a man,

– Я ухожу путем всей земли, – сказал он. – Будь тверд, будь мужествен

3 a nd kept the charge of Jehovah thy God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commands, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that thou dost wisely all that thou dost, and whithersoever thou turnest,

и исполняй то, чего требует Господь, твой Бог. Следуй Его путями и исполняй Его установления и повеления, Его законы и правила, как написано в Законе Моисея, чтобы тебе преуспеть во всем, что бы ты ни делал и куда бы ни шел,

4 s o that Jehovah doth establish His word which He spake unto me, saying, If thy sons observe their way to walk before Me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul; saying, There is not cut off a man of thine from the throne of Israel.

и чтобы Господь исполнил Свое слово, которое Он сказал обо мне: «Если твои потомки будут следовать путям Господа и будут ходить передо Мной в истине от всего сердца и от всей души, ты никогда не лишишься преемника на престоле Израиля».

5 ` And also, thou hast known that which he did to me -- Joab son of Zeruiah -- that which he did to two heads of the hosts of Israel, to Abner son of Ner, and to Amasa son of Jether -- that he slayeth them, and maketh the blood of war in peace, and putteth the blood of war in his girdle, that on his loins, and in his sandals that on his feet;

Далее, ты сам знаешь о том, что сделал мне Иоав, сын Саруи, что сделал он с двумя военачальниками Израиля − Авнером, сыном Нира, и Амасой, сыном Иефера. Он убил их, мстя во время мира за кровь, что была пролита на войне, и запятнал кровью войны пояс на бедрах и сандалии на ногах.

6 a nd thou hast done according to thy wisdom, and dost not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol.

Действуй по своей мудрости, но не дай его седой голове сойти в мир мертвых с миром.

7 ` And to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite thou dost do kindness, and they have been among those eating at thy table, for so they drew near unto me in my fleeing from the face of Absalom thy brother.

Сыновьям Верзеллия из Галаада яви милость, и пусть они будут в числе тех, кто ест за твоим столом. Они пришли ко мне, когда я бежал от твоего брата Авессалома.

8 ` And lo, with thee Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, and he reviled me -- a grievous reviling -- in the day of my going to Mahanaim; and he hath come down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swear to him by Jehovah, saying, I do not put thee to death by the sword;

Еще у тебя есть Шимей, сын Геры, вениамитянин из Бахурима. Он осыпал меня страшными проклятиями в день, когда я шел в Маханаим. Когда он вышел встречать меня к Иордану, я поклялся ему Господом: «Я не предам тебя мечу».

9 a nd now, acquit him not, for a wise man thou, and thou hast known that which thou dost to him, and hast brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.'

Но теперь не считай его невиновным. Ты мудрый человек, ты поймешь, что с ним сделать. Сведи его седую голову в мир мертвых в крови. Смерть Давида (1 Пар. 29: 26-28)

10 A nd David lieth down with his fathers, and is buried in the city of David,

Давид упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен в Городе Давида.

11 a nd the days that David hath reigned over Israel forty years, in Hebron he hath reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he hath reigned thirty and three years.

Он правил Израилем сорок лет – семь лет в Хевроне и тридцать три года в Иерусалиме.

12 A nd Solomon hath sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom is established greatly,

На престоле своего отца Давида сел Соломон, и царство его упрочилось. Казнь Адонии

13 a nd Adonijah son of Haggith cometh in unto Bath-Sheba, mother of Solomon, and she saith, `Is thy coming peace?' and he saith, `Peace.'

Адония, сын Аггифы, пришел к матери Соломона Вирсавии. Вирсавия спросила его: – С миром ли ты пришел? – С миром, – ответил он.

14 A nd he saith, `I have a word unto thee,' and she saith, `Speak.'

Затем он спросил: – Могу ли я с тобой поговорить? – Говори, – ответила она.

15 A nd he saith, `Thou hast known that the kingdom was mine, and towards me set their faces had all Israel for reigning, and the kingdom is turned round about, and is my brother's, for from Jehovah it was his;

– Ты знаешь, – сказал он, – что царство было моим, и на меня смотрел весь Израиль как на будущего царя. Но все изменилось, и царство перешло к моему брату – ведь оно было суждено ему от Господа.

16 a nd now, one petition I am asking of thee -- turn not back my face;' and she saith unto him, `Speak.'

И вот, я прошу тебя об одном. Не откажи мне. – Говори, – сказала она.

17 A nd he saith, `Speak, I pray thee, to Solomon the king, for he doth not turn back thy face, and he doth give to me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife.'

Он сказал: – Прошу тебя, поговори с царем Соломоном – тебе он не откажет, – чтобы он отдал мне в жены шунамитянку Авишаг.

18 A nd Bath-Sheba saith, `Good; I do speak for thee unto the king.'

– Хорошо, – ответила Вирсавия. – Я поговорю о тебе с царем.

19 A nd Bath-Sheba cometh in unto king Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king riseth to meet her, and boweth himself to her, and sitteth on his throne, and placeth a throne for the mother of the king, and she sitteth at his right hand.

Когда Вирсавия пришла к царю Соломону поговорить с ним об Адонии, царь встал, чтобы встретить ее, поклонился ей и сел на свой престол. Он велел принести престол для царской матери, и она села по правую руку от него.

20 A nd she saith, `One small petition I ask of thee, turn not back my face;' and the king saith to her, `Ask, my mother, for I do not turn back thy face.'

– У меня к тебе маленькая просьба, – сказала она. – Не откажи мне. Царь ответил: – Проси, моя мать; я не откажу тебе.

21 A nd she saith, `Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother for a wife.'

И она сказала: – Пусть шунамитянку Авишаг отдадут в жены твоему брату Адонии.

22 A nd king Solomon answereth and saith to his mother, `And why art thou asking Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? also ask for him the kingdom -- for he mine elder brother -- even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab son of Zeruiah.'

Царь Соломон ответил матери: – Зачем ты просишь для Адонии шунамитянку Авишаг? Проси уж для него и царство – он ведь мой старший брат – да, для него, для священника Авиатара и для Иоава, сына Саруи!

23 A nd king Solomon sweareth by Jehovah, saying, `Thus doth God to me, and thus He doth add -- surely against his soul hath Adonijah spoken this word;

И царь Соломон поклялся Господом: – Пусть Бог сурово накажет меня, если Адония не заплатит за эту просьбу жизнью!

24 a nd now, Jehovah liveth, who hath established me, and causeth me to sit on the throne of David my father, and who hath made for me an house as He spake -- surely to-day is Adonijah put to death.'

Верно, как и то, что жив Господь, Который утвердил меня и посадил меня на престоле моего отца Давида и укрепил мой дом, как и обещал, Адония сегодня же будет предан смерти!

25 A nd king Solomon sendeth by the hand of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he falleth upon him, and he dieth.

Царь Соломон отдал приказ Ванею, сыну Иодая, и тот сразил Адонию, и он умер. Наказание Авиатара и смерть Иоава

26 A nd to Abiathar the priest said the king, `To Anathoth go, unto thy fields; for a man of death thou, but in this day I do not put thee to death, because thou hast borne the ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all that my father was afflicted in.'

А священнику Авиатару царь сказал: – Ступай в Анатот, к своим полям. Ты заслуживаешь казни, но сегодня я не предам тебя смерти, потому что ты носил ковчег Владыки Господа перед моим отцом Давидом и делил все тяготы жизни с моим отцом.

27 A nd Solomon casteth out Abiathar from being priest to Jehovah, to fulfil the word of Jehovah which He spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

И Соломон отстранил Авиатара от Господнего священства, исполняя этим слово, которое Господь сказал в Шило о доме Илии.

28 A nd the report hath come unto Joab -- for Joab hath turned aside after Adonijah, though after Absalom he did not turn aside -- and Joab fleeth unto the tent of Jehovah, and layeth hold on the horns of the altar.

Когда новости дошли до Иоава, а Иоав поддержал Адонию, хотя и не поддержал Авессалома,– он вбежал в Господень шатер и схватился за рога жертвенника.

29 A nd it is declared to king Solomon that Joab hath fled unto the tent of Jehovah, and lo, near the altar; and Solomon sendeth Benaiah son of Jehoiada, saying, `Go, fall upon him.'

Царю Соломону доложили, что Иоав убежал в Господень шатер и находится у жертвенника. Тогда Соломон приказал Ванею, сыну Иодая: – Иди, срази его!

30 A nd Benaiah cometh in unto the tent of Jehovah, and saith unto him, `Thus said the king, Come out;' and he saith, `Nay, but here I die.' And Benaiah bringeth back the king word, saying, `Thus spake Joab, yea, thus he answered me.'

Ванея вошел в Господень шатер и сказал Иоаву: – Так говорит царь: «Выходи!» Но тот ответил: – Нет, я умру здесь. Ванея доложил царю: – Вот так ответил мне Иоав.

31 A nd the king saith to him, `Do as he hath spoken, and fall upon him, and thou hast buried him, and turned aside the causeless blood which Joab shed, from off me, and from off the house of my father;

Тогда царь приказал Ванею: – Сделай, как он говорит. Срази его и похорони, и тем очисть меня и дом моего отца от вины за невинную кровь, что пролил Иоав.

32 a nd Jehovah hath turned back his blood on his own head, who hath fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and slayeth them with the sword, -- and my father David knew not -- Abner son of Ner, head of the host of Israel, and Amasa son of Jether, head of the host of Judah;

Господь воздаст ему за кровь, которую он пролил, потому что он без ведома моего отца Давида напал на двух человек и убил их мечом. Оба они – Авнер, сын Нира, военачальник Израиля, и Амаса, сын Иефера, военачальник Иуды – были праведнее и лучше его.

33 y ea, turned back hath their blood on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed to the age; and for David, and for his seed, and for his house, and for his throne, there is peace unto the age, from Jehovah.'

Пусть вина за их кровь падет на голову Иоава и его потомков навеки. Но на Давиде и его семя, его доме и престоле пусть вечно будет Господень мир.

34 A nd Benaiah son of Jehoiada goeth up and falleth upon him, and putteth him to death, and he is buried in his own house in the wilderness,

Ванея, сын Иодая, пошел, сразил Иоава и убил его, и его похоронили на его участке в пустыне.

35 a nd the king putteth Benaiah son of Jehoiada in his stead over the host, and Zadok the priest hath the king put in the stead of Abiathar.

Царь поставил Ванею, сына Иодая, над войском вместо Иоава и заменил Авиатара священником Цадоком. Смерть Шимея

36 A nd the king sendeth and calleth for Shimei, and saith to him, `Build for thee a house in Jerusalem, and thou hast dwelt there, and dost not go out thence any where;

После этого царь послал за Шимеем и сказал ему: – Построй себе дом в Иерусалиме и живи там, а больше никуда не ходи.

37 a nd it hath been, in the day of thy going out, and thou hast passed over the brook Kidron, thou dost certainly know that thou dost surely die -- thy blood is on thy head.'

Знай, в тот день, когда ты уйдешь и пересечешь долину Кедрон, ты умрешь, и сам будешь виновен в своей гибели.

38 A nd Shimei saith to the king, `The word good; as my lord the king hath spoken so doth thy servant do;' and Shimei dwelleth in Jerusalem many days.

Шимей ответил царю: – Хорошо ты говоришь. Твой слуга сделает так, как сказал господин мой царь. И Шимей оставался в Иерусалиме долгое время.

39 A nd it cometh to pass, at the end of three years, that flee do two of the servants of Shimei unto Achish son of Maachah, king of Gath, and they declare to Shimei, saying, `Lo, thy servants in Gath;'

Но три года спустя двое из рабов Шимея убежали к царю Гата Ахишу, сыну Маахи, и Шимею донесли: – Твои рабы в Гате.

40 a nd Shimei riseth, and saddleth his ass, and goeth to Gath, unto Achish, to seek his servants, and Shimei goeth and bringeth his servants from Gath.

Тогда он оседлал осла и отправился к Ахишу в Гат искать рабов. Так Шимей ушел и привел рабов из Гата.

41 A nd it is declared to Solomon that Shimei hath gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and doth return,

Когда Соломону доложили, что Шимей уходил из Иерусалима в Гат и вернулся,

42 a nd the king sendeth and calleth for Shimei, and saith unto him, `Have I not caused thee to swear by Jehovah -- and I testify against thee, saying, In the day of thy going out, and thou hast gone anywhere, thou dost certainly know that thou dost surely die; and thou sayest unto me, The word I have heard good?

царь призвал Шимея и сказал ему: – Разве я не взял с тебя клятву Господом и не предупредил тебя: «Знай, в тот день, когда ты пойдешь, куда бы то ни было, ты умрешь?». Ты тогда сказал мне: «Хорошо ты говоришь. Я буду послушен».

43 a nd wherefore hast thou not kept the oath of Jehovah, and the charge that I charged upon thee?'

Почему же ты не сдержал клятву Господу и не послушался моего повеления?

44 A nd the king saith unto Shimei, `Thou hast known all the evil that thy heart hath known, which thou didest to David my father, and Jehovah hath turned back thine evil on thy head,

Еще царь сказал Шимею: – В сердце своем ты хранишь память обо всем том зле, которое ты сделал моему отцу Давиду. Теперь Господь воздаст тебе за твое злодеяние.

45 a nd king Solomon blessed, and the throne of David is established before Jehovah unto the age.'

А царь Соломон будет благословен, и престол Давида останется непоколебимым перед Господом вовеки.

46 A nd the king chargeth Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he goeth out and falleth on him, and he dieth, and the kingdom is established in the hand of Solomon.

Царь отдал приказ Ванею, сыну Иодая, и тот вышел и сразил Шимея, и убил его. Так царство надежно упрочилось во власти Соломона.
