1 T hus said Jehovah: The heavens My throne, And the earth My footstool, Where this -- the house that ye build for Me? And where this -- the place -- My rest?

Так говорит Господь: – Небеса – престол Мой, и земля – подножие ног Моих. Какой вы можете построить Мне дом? Где может быть место отдыха для Меня?

2 A nd all these My hand hath made, And all these things are, An affirmation of Jehovah! And unto this one I look attentively, Unto the humble and bruised in spirit, And who is trembling at My word.

Все это сотворено Моей рукой, и все это появилось, – возвещает Господь. – Вот кем Я дорожу: тем, кто кроток и сокрушен духом и трепещет перед словом Моим.

3 W hoso slaughtereth the ox smiteth a man, Whoso sacrificeth the lamb beheadeth a dog, Whoso is bringing up a present -- The blood of a sow, Whoso is making mention of frankincense, Is blessing iniquity. Yea, they have fixed on their own ways, And in their abominations their soul hath delighted.

Режущий в жертву быка – как убивающий человека; приносящий в жертву ягненка – как ломающий шею псу; представляющий хлебное приношение – как приносящий свиную кровь, и приносящий в памятную жертву благовония – как тот, кто молится идолу. Они сами избрали свои пути, и мерзости их им приятны.

4 I also -- I fix on their vexations, And their fears I bring in to them, Because I have called, and there is none answering, I spake, and they have not hearkened, And they do the evil things in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

Что ж, и Я изберу суровое наказание для них и наведу на них то, чего они боятся. Когда Я звал, никто не ответил, когда Я говорил, никто не слушал. Они делали злое в Моих глазах и избрали неугодное Мне.

5 H ear a word of Jehovah, Ye who are trembling unto His word, Said have your brethren who are hating you, Who are driving you out, for My name's sake: `Honoured is Jehovah, and we look on your joy,' But they are ashamed.

Слушайте слово Господне, трепещущие перед Его словом: – Ваши братья, которые вас ненавидят и изгоняют за Имя Мое, сказали: «Пусть Господь явит Себя в славе, а мы посмотрим на вашу радость!» Но они будут опозорены.

6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of Jehovah, giving recompence to His enemies.

Вот, шум из города, шум из храма – шум от того, что Господь воздает врагам Своим по заслугам!

7 B efore she is pained she hath brought forth, Before a pang cometh to her, She hath delivered a male.

Еще не мучилась родами, а уже родила; еще не страдала от болей, но уже разрешилась сыном.

8 W ho hath heard anything like this? Who hath seen anything like these? Is earth caused to bring forth in one day? Born is a nation at once? For she hath been pained, Zion also hath borne her sons.

Кто слышал о таком? Кто видел подобное? Рождается ли страна в один день или народ – за одно мгновение? Но дочь Сиона, едва начала мучиться родами, как родила своих сыновей.

9 ` Do I bring to the birth, And not cause to bring forth?' saith Jehovah, `Am not I He who is causing to beget? I have also restrained,' said thy God.

– Доведу ли Я до родов и не дам родить? – говорит Господь. Разве закрою Я утробу, дав силу родить? – говорит Бог твой. –

10 R ejoice ye with Jerusalem, And be glad in her, all ye loving her, Rejoice ye with her for joy, All ye are mourning for her,

Ликуйте с дочерью Иерусалима и веселитесь о ней, все, кто любит ее; радуйтесь, радуйтесь с ней, все, кто над ней плачет!

11 S o that ye suck, and have been satisfied, From the breast of her consolations, So that ye wring out, and have delighted yourselves From the abundance of her honour.

Потому что вы будете питаться и насыщаться из ее груди, дающей утешение, будете упиваться и наслаждаться полнотой ее славы.

12 F or thus said Jehovah: `Lo, I am stretching out to her peace as a river, And as an overflowing stream the honour of nations, And ye have sucked, on the side ye are carried, And on the knees ye are dandled.

Ведь так говорит Господь: – Я направляю к нему мир, как реку, и богатства народов, как полноводный поток. Вас будут кормить, будут носить на руках и качать на коленях.

13 A s one whom his mother comforteth, so do I comfort you, Yea, in Jerusalem ye are comforted.

Как мать утешает свое дитя, так утешу вас Я; вы будете утешены в Иерусалиме.

14 A nd ye have seen, and rejoiced hath your heart, And your bones as tender grass do flourish, And the hand of Jehovah hath been known unto His servants, And He hath been indignant with His enemies.

Когда вы увидите это, сердце ваше возрадуется, и ваши тела будут цвести, как трава; Господня рука откроется Его слугам, но ярость Его будет против Его врагов.

15 F or, lo, Jehovah in fire cometh, And as a hurricane His chariots, To refresh in fury His anger, And His rebuke in flames of fire.

Вот, Господь придет в огне, колесницы Его подобны урагану; в ярости Он обрушит Свой гнев, и в пылающем пламени – Свой укор.

16 F or by fire and by His sword, Doth Jehovah do judgment with all flesh. And many have been Jehovah's pierced ones.'

Огнем и Своим мечом Господь исполнит приговор над всеми людьми, и много будет сраженных Господом.

17 T hose sanctifying and cleansing themselves at the gardens, After Ahad in the midst, Eating flesh of the sow, And of the abomination, and of the mouse, Together are consumed, An affirmation of Jehovah.

– Те, кто освящается и очищается, чтобы идти, следуя за ведущим, в сады для поклонения идолам, кто ест свинину, мышей и другие мерзости, погибнут вместе, – возвещает Господь. –

18 A nd I -- their works and their thoughts, I come to gather all the nations and tongues, And they have come and seen My honour.

Я знаю их дела и мысли, и иду собрать все народы и людей всех языков; они придут, увидят Мою славу,

19 A nd I have set among them a sign, And have sent out of them those escaping unto the nations, (Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, drawing bow, Tubal and Javan, the isles that are far off,) Who have not heard My fame, nor seen Mine honour, And they have declared Mine honour among nations.

и Я поставлю среди них знамение. Я пошлю некоторых из уцелевших к народам – в Таршиш, Пул и Луд (знаменитый стрелками из лука), в Тувал и Грецию, к дальним островам, которые не слышали обо Мне и не видели Моей славы. Они возвестят Мою славу среди народов.

20 A nd they have brought all your brethren out of all the nations, A present to Jehovah, On horses, and on chariot, and on litters, And on mules, and on dromedaries, Unto My holy mountain Jerusalem, said Jehovah, As the sons of Israel bring the present in a clean vessel, Into the house of Jehovah.

Они доставят всех ваших братьев из всех народов к Моей святой горе, в Иерусалим, как приношение Господу – на конях, в колесницах и повозках, на мулах и на верблюдах, – говорит Господь. – Они доставят их, как израильтяне доставляют свои хлебные приношения в храм Господа, в сосудах посвященных.

21 A nd also of them I take for priests, For Levites, said Jehovah.

И еще Я отберу некоторых из них, чтобы они были священниками и левитами, – говорит Господь. –

22 F or, as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making, Are standing before Me, An affirmation of Jehovah! So remain doth your seed and your name.

Потому что, как новое небо и новая земля, которые Я создам, устоят и останутся предо Мной, – возвещает Господь, – так останется ваше потомство и ваше имя.

23 A nd it hath been from month to month, And from sabbath to sabbath, Come do all flesh to bow themselves before Me, Said Jehovah.

И от Новолуния к Новолунию, от субботы к субботе все люди будут приходить и поклоняться Мне, – говорит Господь.

24 A nd they have gone forth, And looked on the carcases of the men Who are transgressing against me, For their worm dieth not, And their fire is not quenched, And they have been an abhorrence to all flesh!

Тогда они выйдут и посмотрят на трупы тех, кто отступил от Меня; их червь не умрет, и огонь их не угаснет, и они будут внушать отвращение всем людям.
