1 W o apostate sons, The affirmation of Jehovah! To do counsel, and not from Me, And to spread out a covering, and not of My spirit, So as to add sin to sin.

– Горе упрямым детям, – возвещает Господь, – которые вынашивают замыслы, что не от Меня, заключают союз против Моей воли, грех громоздят на грех;

2 W ho are walking to go down to Egypt, And My mouth have not asked, To be strong in the strength of Pharaoh, And to trust in the shadow of Egypt.

ходят в Египет не вопросив Меня; прибегают к защите фараона, ищут убежище в тени Египта.

3 A nd the strength of Pharaoh Hath been to you for shame, And the trust in the shadow of Egypt confusion,

Но защита фараона станет вашим стыдом, тень Египта принесет вам бесчестие.

4 F or in Zoan were his princes, And his messengers reach Hanes.

Пусть правители их в городе Цоане, и послы их пришли в Ханес,

5 A ll he made ashamed of a people that profit not, Neither for help, not for profit, But for shame, and also for reproach!

все равно постыдится всякий из-за бесполезного народа, от которого ни помощи, ни выгоды, только стыд и бесчестие.

6 T he burden of the beasts of the south. Into a land of adversity and distress, Of young lion and of old lion, Whence viper and flying saraph, They carry on the shoulder of asses their wealth, And on the hump of camels their treasures, Unto a people not profitable.

Пророчество о животных Негева. По земле беды и тягот, львиц и льва ревущего, гадюк и змей-стрелок везут послы свои богатства на спинах ослов, свои сокровища – на горбах верблюжьих тому бесполезному народу,

7 Y ea, Egyptians vanity, and in vain do help, Therefore I have cried concerning this: `Their strength to sit still.'

в Египет, чья помощь напрасна и ненадежна. Поэтому Я назвал его: «Раав Праздный».

8 N o, go in, write it on a tablet with them, And on a book engrave it, And it is for a latter day, for a witness unto the age,

– Итак, ступай, напиши им это на табличке, начертай им это и на свитке, чтобы в грядущие дни это было вечным свидетельством.

9 T hat a rebellious people this, sons -- liars, Sons not willing to hear the law of Jehovah.

Это народ отступников, лживые дети, дети, что не хотят внимать учению Господа.

10 W ho have said to seers, `Ye do not see,' And to prophets, `Ye do not prophesy to us Straightforward things, Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits,

Они говорят провидцам: «Перестаньте провидеть!», и пророкам: «Не пророчествуйте нам истины! Говорите нам лестное, предсказывайте миражи.

11 T urn aside from the way, decline from the path, Cause to cease from before us the Holy One of Israel.'

Сойдите с этой дороги, уклонитесь от этого пути и уберите с наших глаз Святого Израилева!»

12 T herefore, thus said the Holy One of Israel, Because of your kicking against this word, And ye trust in oppression, And perverseness, and rely on it,

Поэтому так говорит Святой Израиля: – Раз вы отвергли эту весть, понадеялись на угнетение и положились на ложь,

13 T herefore is this iniquity to you as a breach falling, Swelled out in a wall set on high, Whose destruction suddenly, at an instant cometh.

то станет для вас этот грех точно высокая стена, что трескается, клонится и рушится внезапно, в одно мгновение.

14 A nd He hath broken it As the breaking of the potters' bottle, Beaten down -- He doth not spare, Nor is there found, in its beating down, A potsherd to take fire from the burning, And to draw out waters from a ditch.

Она разобьется, словно глиняный сосуд, расколотый так беспощадно, что среди осколков не найдется черепка, чтобы взять из очага углей или зачерпнуть из водоема воды.

15 F or thus said the Lord Jehovah, The Holy One of Israel: `In returning and rest ye are saved, In keeping quiet and in confidence is your might, And ye have not been willing.

Так говорит Владыка, Господь, Святой Израилев: – Ваше спасение – в покаянии и покое, ваша сила – в надежде и тишине, но вы не захотели этого.

16 A nd ye say, No, for on a horse we flee? Therefore ye flee, And on the swift we ride! Therefore swift are your pursuers.

Вы сказали: «Нет, мы умчимся на конях». Что ж, вы умчитесь! Вы сказали: «Мы ускачем на быстрых конях!» Что ж, и погоня за вами будет быстрой!

17 O ne thousand because of the rebuke of one, Because of the rebuke of five ye flee, Till ye have been surely left as a pole On the top of the mountain, And as an ensign on the height.

Тысяча побежит от страха перед одним, от страха перед пятью побежите вы все, пока не останетесь, словно флагшток на вершине горы, словно знамя на холме.

18 A nd therefore doth wait Jehovah to favour you, And therefore He is exalted to pity you, For a God of judgment Jehovah, O the blessedness of all waiting for Him.

Но Господь медлит, чтобы помиловать вас; Он поднимется, чтобы сжалиться над вами. Ведь Господь – Бог правосудия. Блаженны все, кто Его ожидает! Благословения и спасение для народа Божьего

19 F or the people in Zion dwell in Jerusalem, Weep thou not, weeping, Pitying, He pitieth thee at the voice of thy cry, When He heareth He answereth thee.

Воистину, о народ Сиона, жители Иерусалима, вы не будете больше плакать. Он непременно помилует вас, когда вы воззовете к Нему! Едва лишь услышав, Он ответит вам.

20 A nd the Lord hath given to you bread of adversity, And water of oppression. And thy directors remove no more, And thine eyes have seen thy directors,

Хотя Владыка и даст вам хлеб напасти и воду беды, ваши учители больше не будут скрываться; вы своими глазами увидите своих учителей.

21 A nd thine ear heareth a word behind thee, Saying, `This the way, go ye in it,' When ye turn to the right, And when ye turn to the left.

Направо ли вы повернете или налево, ваши уши услышат голос сзади, говорящий: «Вот путь; идите по нему».

22 A nd ye have defiled the covering of Thy graven images of silver, And the ephod of thy molten image of gold, Thou scatterest them as a sickening thing, `Go out,' thou sayest to it.

Тогда вы посчитаете скверною своих идолов, покрытых серебром, и свои изваяния, покрытые золотом; вы отбросите их, как нечистое тряпье, и скажете им: «Прочь!»

23 A nd He hath given rain thy seed, With which thou dost sow the ground, And bread, the increase of the ground, And it hath been fat and plenteous, Enjoy do thy cattle in that day an enlarged pasture.

Еще Он пошлет вам дождь для зерна, которое вы сажаете в землю; и тогда пища, которую родит земля, будет хороша и обильна. В тот день твой скот будет пастись на широких лугах.

24 A nd the oxen and the young asses serving the ground, Fermented provender do eat, That one is winnowing with shovel and fan.

Волы и ослы, пашущие землю, будут есть силос, провеянный лопатой и вилами.

25 A nd there hath been on every high mount, And on every exalted hill, Rivulets -- streams of waters, In a day of much slaughter, in the falling of towers.

В день великой бойни, когда обрушатся башни, по каждой высокой горе и по каждому высокому холму побегут потоки воды.

26 A nd the light of the moon hath been as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun is sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day of Jehovah's binding up the breach of His people, When the stroke of its wound He healeth.

Луна будет сиять, как солнце, а солнечный свет станет в семь раз ярче, словно свет семи полных дней, когда Господь перевяжет язвы Своего народа и исцелит раны, которые Он нанес.

27 L o, the name of Jehovah is coming from far, Burning is His anger, and great the flame, His lips have been full of indignation, And His tongue as a devouring fire.

Вот, Имя Господне идет издалека, пылая гневом, в густом облаке дыма; уста Его полны негодования, и язык Его – пожирающий огонь.

28 A nd His breath as an overflowing stream, Unto the neck it divideth, To sift nations with a sieve of vanity, And a bridle causing to err, on the jaws of the peoples.

Дыхание Его, как разливающийся поток, поднимающийся до шеи. Он просеивает народы в решете гибели; Он вкладывает в челюсти народов узду, которая уводит их с пути.

29 S inging is to you as in a night sanctified for a festival, And joy of heart as he who is going with a pipe, To go in to the mountain of Jehovah, Unto the rock of Israel.

Вы будете петь, как в ночь, когда празднуете священный праздник. Ваши сердца будут ликовать, как у идущих под пение свирели на гору Господа, к скале Израиля.

30 A nd caused to be heard hath Jehovah The honour of His voice, And the coming down of His arm He doth shew with the raging of anger, And the flame of a consuming fire, Scattering, and inundation, and hailstone.

Господь даст людям услышать Свой величественный голос и явит им Свою мышцу, которая обрушится в ударе с лютым гневом и пожирающим огнем, с ливнем, бурей и градом.

31 F or from the voice of Jehovah broken down Asshur, With a rod He smiteth.

Голос Господа потрясет Ассирию; Он поразит ее Своим скипетром.

32 A nd every passage of the settled staff, That Jehovah causeth to rest on him, Hath been with tabrets, and with harps, And in battles of shaking he hath fought with it.

Каждый удар, который Господь нанесет им Своим карающим жезлом, будет под музыку бубнов и арф, когда Он сразится с ними в бою ударами Своей мышцы.

33 F or, arranged from former time is Tophet, Even it for the king is prepared, He hath made deep, He hath made large, Its pile fire and much wood, The breath of Jehovah, As a stream of brim stone, is burning in it!

Место для сожжения давно готово, приготовлено для ассирийского царя. Огненная яма сделана глубокой и широкой, вдоволь в ней и огня и дров; дыхание Господа зажжет ее, как поток горящей серы.
