1 A nd the lot for the sons of Joseph goeth out from Jordan Jericho, to the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness going up from Jericho in the hill-country of Beth-El,

2 a nd hath gone out from Beth-El to Luz, and passed over unto the border of Archi Ataroth,

Он продолжался от Вефиля к Лузу, переходил к землям аркитян в Атароте,

3 a nd gone down westward unto the border of Japhleti, unto the border of Beth-Horon the lower, and unto Gezer, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

спускался на запад к землям иафлетян до области Нижнего Бет-Хорона и к Гезеру, заканчиваясь у моря.

4 A nd the sons of Joseph -- Manasseh and Ephraim -- inherit.

Манассия и Ефрем, потомки Иосифа, получили свой удел.

5 A nd the border of the sons of Ephraim is by their families; and the border of their inheritance is on the east, Atroth-Addar unto Beth-Horon the upper;

Вот земли Ефрема по их кланам: граница их удела проходила от Атарот-Аддара на востоке до Верхнего Бет-Хорона

6 a nd the border hath gone out at the sea, to Michmethah on the north, and the border hath gone round eastward Taanath-Shiloh, and passed over it eastward to Janohah,

и тянулась к морю. От Микмефафа на севере она сворачивала на восток к Таанат-Шило, проходя за него к Ианоху на востоке.

7 a nd gone down from Janohah Ataroth, and to Naarath, and touched against Jericho, and gone out at the Jordan.

Затем она спускалась от Ианоха к Атароту и Нааре, примыкала к Иерихону и выходила к Иордану.

8 F rom Tappuah the border goeth westward unto the brook of Kanah, and its outgoings have been at the sea: this the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, for their families.

От Таппуаха граница шла на запад к потоку Кане и доходила до самого моря. Таков был удел рода ефремитов по их кланам.

9 A nd the separate cities of the sons of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages;

Еще он включал все города с окрестными поселениями, которые были отделены ефремитам в уделе манасситов.

10 a nd they have not dispossessed the Canaanite who is dwelling in Gezer, and the Canaanite dwelleth in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and is to tribute -- a servant.

Они не выселили хананеев, живущих в Гезере; до сегодняшнего дня хананеи живут среди ефремитов, но как подневольные.
