1 A nd Joseph hath not been able to refrain himself before all those standing by him, and he calleth, `Put out every man from me;' and no man hath stood with him when Joseph maketh himself known unto his brethren,

Тогда Иосиф не мог более сдержать себя перед рабами и воскликнул: – Уходите все прочь от меня! – и никого не было с Иосифом, когда он открылся своим братьям.

2 a nd he giveth forth his voice in weeping, and the Egyptians hear, and the house of Pharaoh heareth.

Он так громко зарыдал, что услышали египтяне, и слух об этом дошел до двора фараона.

3 A nd Joseph saith unto his brethren, `I Joseph, is my father yet alive?' and his brethren have not been able to answer him, for they have been troubled at his presence.

Иосиф сказал братьям: – Я – Иосиф! Жив ли еще мой отец? Но братья ничего не могли ответить – так они были ошеломлены.

4 A nd Joseph saith unto his brethren, `Come nigh unto me, I pray you,' and they come nigh; and he saith, `I Joseph, your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt;

Тогда Иосиф сказал братьям: – Подойдите же ко мне. И когда они подошли, он сказал: – Я – ваш брат Иосиф, которого вы продали в Египет!

5 a nd now, be not grieved, nor let it be displeasing in your eyes that ye sold me hither, for to preserve life hath God sent me before you.

Но не тревожьтесь и не обвиняйте больше себя за то, что продали меня сюда: это Бог послал меня перед вами для спасения вашей жизни.

6 ` Because these two years the famine in the heart of the land, and yet five years, which there is neither ploughing nor harvest;

Уже два года, как в стране голод, и еще пять лет не будет ни пахоты, ни жатвы.

7 a nd God sendeth me before you, to place of you a remnant in the land, and to give life to you by a great escape;

Но Бог послал меня перед вами, чтобы сохранить ваш род на земле и великим избавлением спасти ваши жизни.

8 a nd now, ye -- ye have not sent me hither, but God, and He doth set me for a father to Pharaoh, and for lord to all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Итак, не вы послали меня сюда, но Бог: Он сделал меня отцом фараону, господином над всем его домом и правителем всего Египта.

9 ` Haste, and go up unto my father, then ye have said to him, Thus said Joseph thy son, God hath set me for lord to all Egypt; come down unto me, stay not,

Поспешите вернуться к моему отцу и скажите ему: «Вот что говорит твой сын Иосиф: “Бог сделал меня правителем всего Египта. Приходи ко мне, не медли;

10 a nd thou hast dwelt in the land of Goshen, and been near unto me, thou and thy sons, and thy son's sons, and thy flock, and thy herd, and all that thou hast,

ты будешь жить в области Гошен и будешь рядом со мной: и ты, и твои дети и внуки, и твой крупный и мелкий скот, и все, что у тебя есть.

11 a nd I have nourished thee there -- for yet five years of famine -- lest thou become poor, thou and thy household, and all that thou hast.

Там я смогу прокормить тебя, ведь предстоят еще пять лет голода – а иначе и ты, и твой дом, и все, кто принадлежат тебе, будете в нужде”».

12 ` And lo, your eyes are seeing, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that my mouth which is speaking unto you;

Вы видите своими глазами, и вы, и мой брат Вениамин, что это действительно я говорю с вами.

13 a nd ye have declared to my father all my honour in Egypt, and all that ye have seen, and ye have hasted, and have brought down my father hither.'

Расскажите же моему отцу о том, как я прославлен в Египте, и обо всем, что вы видели. И поскорее приведите сюда моего отца.

14 A nd he falleth on the neck of Benjamin his brother, and weepeth, and Benjamin hath wept on his neck;

Он обнял своего брата Вениамина и заплакал, и Вениамин плакал, обнимая его.

15 a nd he kisseth all his brethren, and weepeth over them; and afterwards have his brethren spoken with him.

Он поцеловал всех братьев и с плачем обнимал их. Потом братья беседовали с ним. Фараон позволяет Иакову переселиться в Египет

16 A nd the sound hath been heard in the house of Pharaoh, saying, `Come have the brethren of Joseph;' and it is good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants,

Слух о том, что пришли братья Иосифа, дошел до двора фараона. Фараон обрадовался, и его придворные тоже,

17 a nd Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `Say unto thy brethren, This do ye: lade your beasts, and go, enter ye the land of Canaan,

и фараон сказал Иосифу: – Скажи братьям: «Сделайте вот что: навьючьте своих животных, возвращайтесь в землю Ханаана

18 a nd take your father, and your households, and come unto me, and I give to you the good of the land of Egypt, and eat ye the fat of the land.

и приведите ко мне отца и ваши семьи. Я дам вам лучшую землю в Египте, и вы будете жить ее плодами».

19 ` Yea, thou -- thou hast been commanded: this do ye, take for yourselves out of the land of Egypt, waggons for your infants, and for your wives, and ye have brought your father, and come;

Еще повелеваю тебе сказать им: «Сделайте вот что: возьмите из Египта колесницы для ваших детей и жен, привезите отца и приходите сами.

20 a nd your eye hath no pity on your vessels, for the good of all the land of Egypt yours.'

Не жалейте о вашем имуществе, потому что все лучшее в Египте будет вашим».

21 A nd the sons of Israel do so, and Joseph giveth waggons to them by the command of Pharaoh, and he giveth to them provision for the way;

Сыновья Израиля так и сделали. Иосиф дал им колесницы, как приказал фараон, и припасы в дорогу.

22 t o all of them hath he given -- to each changes of garments, and to Benjamin he hath given three hundred silverlings, and five changes of garments;

Каждому он подарил новую одежду, а Вениамину дал триста шекелей серебра и пять смен одежды.

23 a nd to his father he hath sent thus: ten asses bearing of the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses bearing corn and bread, even food for his father for the way.

Отцу он послал десять ослов, нагруженных лучшим добром Египта, и десять ослиц, нагруженных зерном, хлебом и другими припасами для путешествия.

24 A nd he sendeth his brethren away, and they go; and he saith unto them, `Be not angry in the way.'

После этого он отпустил братьев, и когда они уходили, сказал им: – Ни о чем не тревожьтесь в пути!

25 A nd they go up out of Egypt, and come in to the land of Canaan, unto Jacob their father,

Они отправились в путь из Египта, пришли к своему отцу Иакову в землю Ханаана

26 a nd they declare to him, saying, `Joseph yet alive,' and that he ruler over all the land of Egypt; and his heart ceaseth, for he hath not given credence to them.

и сказали ему: – Иосиф жив! Иосиф – правитель всего Египта! У Иакова замерло сердце, и он не поверил им.

27 A nd they speak unto him all the words of Joseph, which he hath spoken unto them, and he seeth the waggons which Joseph hath sent to bear him away, and live doth the spirit of Jacob their father;

Но когда они передали ему все, что сказал Иосиф, и когда он увидел колесницы, которые Иосиф послал, чтобы перевезти его, душа Иакова ожила.

28 a nd Israel saith, `Enough! Joseph my son yet alive; I go and see him before I die.'

И Израиль сказал: – Довольно! Мой сын Иосиф жив. Пойду и увижу его, прежде чем умру.
