1 A nd the queen of Sheba hath heard of the fame of Solomon, and cometh in to try Solomon with acute sayings, to Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels bearing spices and gold in abundance, and precious stone; and she cometh in unto Solomon, and speaketh with him all that hath been with her heart,

Когда царица Шевы услышала о славе Соломона, она пришла в Иерусалим, чтобы испытать его трудными вопросами. Прибыв с очень большой свитой, с верблюдами, везущими пряности, великим множеством золота и драгоценных камней, она пришла к Соломону и говорила с ним обо всем, что было у нее на сердце.

2 a nd Solomon declareth to her all her matters, and there hath not been hid a thing from Solomon that he hath not declared to her.

Соломон ответил на все ее вопросы: для него не было ничего слишком трудного, чего он не смог бы ей объяснить.

3 A nd the queen of Sheba seeth the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he hath built,

Когда царица Шевы увидела мудрость Соломона и дворец, который он построил, увидела,

4 a nd the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his stewards, and their clothing, an his burnt-offering that he offered up in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been any more spirit in her.

что за яства у него на столе, что за жилища у его приближенных, как прислуживают его слуги, как они одеты, каковы у него виночерпии, как одеты они, и какие всесожжения он совершает в доме Господа, у нее захватило дух.

5 A nd she saith unto the king, `True the word that I heard in my land concerning thy matters and concerning thy wisdom,

Она сказала царю: – Молва, которую я слышала в своей стране о твоих делах и мудрости, правдива,

6 a nd I have given no credence to their words, till that I have come, and mine eyes see, and lo, there hath not been declared to me the half of the abundance of thy wisdom -- thou hast added unto the report that I heard.

но я не верила слухам, пока не пришла и не увидела это своими глазами. И что же, мне не рассказали и о половине твоей мудрости! Ты далеко превзошел ту молву, что я слышала.

7 ` O the happiness of thy men, and the happiness of thy servants -- these -- who are standing before thee continually, and hearing thy wisdom.

Блаженны твои люди! Блаженны твои приближенные, которые всегда стоят перед тобой и внимают твоей мудрости!

8 L et Jehovah thy God be blessed who hath delighted in thee, to put thee on His throne for king for Jehovah thy God; in the love of thy God to Israel, to establish it to the age, He hath put thee over them for king, to do judgment and righteousness.'

Благословен будь Господь, твой Бог, Который благоволит к тебе и посадил тебя царем на Своем престоле, чтобы ты правил для Господа, твоего Бога. Ради любви твоего Бога к Израилю, ради желания утвердить их навеки, Он сделал тебя его царем, чтобы ты поступал справедливо и праведно.

9 A nd she giveth to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stone; and there hath not been any such spice as the queen of Sheba hath given to king Solomon.

Она подарила царю сто двадцать талантов золота, великое множество пряностей и драгоценных камней. Никогда больше не было пряностей, подобных тем, что царица Шевы подарила царю Соломону.

10 A nd also, servants of Huram, and servants of Solomon, who brought in gold from Ophir, have brought in algum-trees and precious stone.

Хирамовы люди и люди Соломона привозили золото из Офира. Еще они привезли красное дерево и драгоценные камни.

11 A nd the king maketh the algum-trees staircases for the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; and there have been none seen like these before in the land of Judah.

Царь сделал из красного дерева лестницы для Господнего дома и для царского дворца, а также арфы и лиры для музыкантов. Прежде в Иудее не видели ничего подобного.

12 A nd king Solomon hath given to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which she had brought unto the king, and she turneth and goeth to her land, she and her servants.

Царь Соломон подарил царице Шевы все, что она пожелала и о чем просила. Он подарил ей больше, чем она привезла ему. После этого она ушла и вернулась со свитой в свою страну. Богатство и великолепие Соломона (3 Цар. 10: 14-29; 2 Пар. 1: 14-17)

13 A nd the weight of the gold that is coming to Solomon in one year is six hundred and sixty and six talents of gold,

Ежегодно Соломон получал по весу шестьсот шестьдесят шесть талантов золота,

14 a part from the tourists, and the merchants, are bringing in; and all the kings of Arabia, and the governors of the land, are bringing in gold and silver to Solomon.

не считая того дохода, что поступал от купцов и торговцев, и от всех аравийских царей и наместников страны тоже привозили Соломону золото и серебро.

15 A nd king Solomon maketh two hundred targets of alloyed gold, six hundred of alloyed gold he causeth to go up on the one target;

Царь Соломон сделал двести больших щитов из кованого золота, на каждый из которых пошло по шестисот бека золота.

16 a nd three hundred shields of alloyed gold, three hundred of gold he causeth to go up on the one shield, and the king putteth them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

Еще он сделал триста маленьких щитов из кованого золота, на каждый из которых ушло по триста бека золота. Царь поместил их во дворце Ливанского леса.

17 A nd the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with pure gold;

Еще царь сделал огромный трон, выложенный слоновой костью и покрытый чистым золотом.

18 a nd six steps to the throne, and a footstool of gold, to the throne they are fastened, and hands on this and on that on the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,

У трона было шесть ступенек, и к нему было прикреплено золотое подножие. По обеим сторонам сиденья были подлокотники, и у каждого из них стояло по льву.

19 a nd twelve lions are standing there on the six steps on this, and on that: it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

Двенадцать львов стояло на шести ступеньках – по одному с каждой стороны каждой ступеньки. Никогда ничего подобного не делалось ни в каком другом царстве.

20 A nd all the drinking vessels of king Solomon of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon of refined gold -- silver is not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything;

Все чаши царя Соломона были золотыми, и вся домашняя утварь во дворце Ливанского леса была из чистого золота. Серебряного ничего не было, потому что серебро в дни Соломона ни во что не ценилось.

21 f or ships of the king are going to Tarshish, with servants of Huram: once in three years come do the ships of Tarshish bearing gold, and silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

На море у царя был флот из таршишских кораблей, с командой из слуг Хирама. Раз в три года корабли возвращались, привозя золото, серебро, слоновую кость, обезьян и павлинов.

22 A nd king Solomon becometh greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and wisdom;

Царь Соломон превосходил богатством и мудростью всех царей земли.

23 a nd all the kings of the earth are seeking the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom that God hath put in his heart,

Все они искали встречи с Соломоном, чтобы послушать мудрости, которую вложил в его сердце Бог.

24 a nd they are bringing in each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

Всякий приходящий приносил дары – изделия из серебра и золота, одежды, оружие и пряности, лошадей и мулов, и так – из года в год.

25 A nd there are to Solomon four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placed them in cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.

У Соломона было четыре тысячи стойл для коней и колесниц и двенадцать тысяч коней, которых он держал в колесничных городах и у себя, в Иерусалиме.

26 A nd he is ruling over all the kings from the River even unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt.

Он правил всеми царями от Реки до земли филистимлян, до самой границы Египта.

27 A nd the king maketh the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he hath made as sycamores, that in the low country, for abundance,

В его правление серебро в Иерусалиме ценилось не выше простых камней, а кедра было так же много, как тутовых деревьев в предгорьях Иудеи.

28 a nd they are bringing out horses from Egypt to Solomon, and from all the lands.

Кони Соломона поставлялись из Египта и из других стран. Смерть Соломона (3 Цар. 11: 41-43)

29 A nd the rest of the matters of Solomon, the first and the last, are they not written beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and with the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat?

А прочие события правления Соломона, от первых до последних, то разве не описаны они в записях пророка Нафана, в пророчестве Ахии из Шило и в видениях провидца Иддо о Иеровоаме, сыне Навата?

30 A nd Solomon reigneth in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years,

Соломон правил в Иерусалиме всем Израилем сорок лет.

31 a nd Solomon lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David his father, and reign doth Rehoboam his son in his stead.

Потом он упокоился с предками и был похоронен в городе Давида, своего отца. А Ровоам, его сын, стал царем вместо него.
