1 A nd in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam son of Nebat, reigned hath Abijam over Judah;

На восемнадцатом году правления Иеровоама, сына Навата, Авия стал царем Иудеи.

2 t hree years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Maachah daughter of Abishalom;

Он правил в Иерусалиме три года. Его мать звали Мааха, она была внучкой Авессалома.

3 a nd he walketh in all the sins of his father, that he did before him, and his heart hath not been perfect with Jehovah his God, as the heart of David his father;

Он делал все те же грехи, что и его отец перед ним, и его сердце не было полностью предано Господу, его Богу, как сердце его предка Давида.

4 b ut for David's sake hath Jehovah his God given to him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem,

И все же, ради Давида, Господь, его Бог, дал ему в Иерусалиме светильник, воздвигнув после него его сына и упрочив Иерусалим.

5 i n that David did that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, and turned not aside from all that He commanded him all days of his life -- only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite;

Давид делал то, что было правильным в глазах Господа, и во все дни жизни не отступал от Его повелений, не считая истории с хеттом Урией.

6 a nd war hath been between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

На протяжении всего времени правления Авии шла война, которая началась между царями Ровоамом и Иеровоамом.

7 A nd the rest of the matters of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah? And war hath been between Abijam and Jeroboam;

Что же до прочих событий правления Авии и всего, что он сделал, то разве они не записаны в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи»? Между Авией и Иеровоамом шла война.

8 a nd Abijam lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David, and reign doth Asa his son in his stead.

Авия упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен в Городе Давида. Аса, его сын, стал царем вместо него. Аса – царь Иудеи (2 Пар. 14: 2-3; 15: 16 – 16: 6, 11-14)

9 A nd in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned hath Asa over Judah,

На двадцатом году правления Иеровоама, царя Израиля, царем Иудеи стал Аса.

10 a nd forty and one years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Maachah daughter of Abishalom.

Он правил в Иерусалиме сорок один год. Мать его отца звали Мааха, внучка Авессалома.

11 A nd Asa doth that which right in the eyes of Jehovah, like David his father,

Аса делал то, что было правильным в глазах Господа, как и его предок Давид.

12 a nd removeth the whoremongers out of the land, and turneth aside all the idols that his fathers made;

Он изгнал из страны мужчин-блудников и убрал всех идолов, которых сделали его предки.

13 a nd also Maachah his mother -- he turneth her aside from being mistress, in that she made a horrible thing for a shrine, and Asa cutteth down her horrible thing, and burneth by the brook Kidron;

Он даже лишил Мааху, свою бабушку, положения царицы-матери за то, что она сделала отвратительный столб Ашеры. Аса срубил ее столб и сжег его в долине Кедрон.

14 a nd the high places have not turned aside; only, the heart of Asa hath been perfect with Jehovah all his days,

Он не упразднил святилищ на возвышенностях, но сердце его было все же полностью предано Господу во все дни его жизни.

15 a nd he bringeth in the sanctified things of his father, and his own sanctified things, to the house of Jehovah, silver, and gold, and vessels.

Он внес в Господень дом жертвенные дары отца и свои собственные – серебро, золото и различную утварь.

16 A nd war hath been between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days,

Между Асой и Баашей, царем Израиля, во все дни их правления шла война.

17 a nd Baasha king of Israel goeth up against Judah, and buildeth Ramah, not to permit any one going out and coming in to Asa king of Judah.

Бааша, царь Израиля, двинулся на земли Иудеи и укрепил Раму, чтобы никто не мог ни войти во владения Асы, царя Иудеи, ни покинуть их.

18 A nd Asa taketh all the silver and the gold that are left in the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and giveth them into the hand of his servants, and king Asa sendeth them unto Ben-Hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion king of Aram, who is dwelling in Damascus, saying,

Тогда Аса взял все серебро и золото, которое оставалось в сокровищницах дома Господа и его собственного дворца. Он дал его своим приближенным и отправил их к Венададу, сыну Тавримона, внуку Хезиона, царю Арама, который правил в Дамаске, сказав:

19 ` A covenant between me and thee, between my father and thy father; lo, I have sent to thee a reward of silver and gold; go, break thy covenant with Baasha king of Israel, and he goeth up from off me.'

– Пусть между мной и тобой будет союз, как он был между нашими отцами. Вот, я посылаю тебе в дар серебро и золото. Расторгни же свой союз с Баашей, царем Израиля, чтобы он отступил от меня.

20 A nd Ben-Hadad hearkeneth unto king Asa, and sendeth the heads of the forces that he hath against cities of Israel, and smiteth Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and all Chinneroth, besides all the land of Naphtali;

Венадад согласился с предложением царя Асы и послал военачальников против городов Израиля. Они захватили Ийон, Дан, Авел-Бет-Мааху и всю область Киннерет со всей землей Неффалима.

21 a nd it cometh to pass at Baasha's hearing, that he ceaseth from building Ramah, and dwelleth in Tirzah.

Услышав об этом, Бааша перестал укреплять Раму и отошел в Тирцу.

22 A nd king Asa hath summoned all Judah -- there is none exempt -- and they lift up the stones of Ramah, and its wood, that Baasha hath built, and king Asa buildeth with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

А царь Аса огласил по всей Иудее указ ко всем без исключения, чтобы они вынесли из Рамы камни и дерево, которыми строил Бааша. Царь Аса укрепил ими город Геву, что в земле Вениамина, и Мицпу.

23 A nd the rest of all the matters of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah? Only, at the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet;

Что же до всех прочих событий правления Асы, всех его свершений, всего, что он сделал, включая города, которые он построил, то разве не записаны они в «Книге летописей царей Иудеи»? В старости он страдал от болезни ног.

24 a nd Asa lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoshaphat his son reigneth in his stead.

Аса упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен с ними в городе своего предка Давида. Царем вместо него стал его сын Иосафат. Надав – царь Израиля

25 A nd Nadab son of Jeroboam hath reigned over Israel, in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigneth over Israel two years,

Надав, сын Иеровоама, стал царем Израиля на втором году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, и правил Израилем два года.

26 a nd doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and goeth in the way of his father, and in his sin that he made Israel to sin.

Он делал зло в глазах Господа, ходя путями своего отца и в его грехе, к которому тот склонил Израиль.

27 A nd conspire against him doth Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, and Baasha smiteth him in Gibbethon, which to the Philistines -- and Nadab and all Israel are laying siege against Gibbethon --

Бааша, сын Ахии из дома Иссахара, составил против него заговор и сразил его при Гиббетоне, филистимском городе, когда Надав и весь Израиль осаждали его.

28 y ea, Baasha putteth him to death in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and reigneth in his stead.

Бааша убил Надава на третьем году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, и стал царем вместо него.

29 A nd it cometh to pass, at his reigning, he hath smitten the whole house of Jeroboam, he hath not left any breathing to Jeroboam till his destroying him, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake by the hand of His servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

Едва начав править, он уничтожил всю семью Иеровоама. Он не оставил в живых у Иеровоама никого, истребил их всех, по слову Господа, изреченному через Его слугу Ахию из Шило,

30 b ecause of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin, by his provocation with which he provoked to anger Jehovah, God of Israel.

за грехи, которые Иеровоам совершил и к которым склонил Израиль, и за то, что он гневил Господа, Бога Израиля.

31 A nd the rest of the matters of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Что же до прочих событий правления Надава и всего, что он сделал, то разве не записаны они в «Книге летописей царей Израиля»?

32 A nd war hath been between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

Между Асой и Баашей, царем Израиля, во все время их правления шла война. Бааша – царь Израиля

33 I n the third year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Baasha son of Ahijah over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years,

На третьем году правления Асы, царя Иудеи, Бааша, сын Ахии, стал царем всего Израиля в Тирце и правил двадцать четыре года.

34 a nd he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin.

Он делал зло в глазах Господа, ходя путями Иеровоама и в его грехе, к которому тот склонил Израиль.
