1 A nd daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh son of Joseph, draw near -- and these the names of his daughters, Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah --

У Целофхада, сына Хефера, (Хефер – сын Галаада, Галаад – сын Махира, Махир – сын Манассии, основателя рода, Манассия – сын Иосифа) было пять дочерей: Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Тирца. Они пришли

2 a nd stand before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the company, at the opening of the tent of meeting, saying:

ко входу шатра собрания, предстали перед Моисеем, священником Элеазаром, вождями и всем обществом и сказали:

3 ` Our father died in the wilderness, and he -- he was not in the midst of the company who were met together against Jehovah in the company of Korah, but for his own sin he died, and had no sons;

– Наш отец умер в пустыне. Он не был среди сторонников Кораха, которые собрались против Господа. Он умер за свой грех и не оставил сыновей.

4 w hy is the name of our father withdrawn from the midst of his family because he hath no son? give to us a possession in the midst of the brethren of our father;'

Почему имя нашего отца должно быть забыто его кланом из-за того, что у него не было сыновей? Дай нам надел наравне с братьями отца.

5 a nd Moses bringeth near their cause before Jehovah.

Моисей представил их дело Господу,

6 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

и Господь сказал ему:

7 ` Rightly are the daughters of Zelophehad speaking; thou dost certainly give to them a possession of an inheritance in the midst of their father's brethren, and hast caused to pass over the inheritance of their father to them.

– Дочери Целофхада говорят правду. Непременно дай им наследственный надел среди братьев их отца и передай им надел их отца.

8 ` And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When a man dieth, and hath no son, then ye have caused his inheritance to pass over to his daughter;

Скажи израильтянам: «Если человек умрет и не оставит сына, передавайте его надел дочери.

9 a nd if he have no daughter, then ye have given his inheritance to his brethren;

Если у него нет дочери, отдавайте надел его братьям.

10 a nd if he have no brethren, then ye have given his inheritance to his father's brethren;

Если у него нет братьев, отдавайте его надел братьям его отца.

11 a nd if his father have no brethren, then ye have given his inheritance to his relation who is near unto him of his family, and he hath possessed it;' and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a statute of judgment, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

Если у его отца не было братьев, отдавайте его надел во владение ближайшему родственнику в его клане. Это будет для израильтян установленым законом, как повелел Моисею Господь». Иисус – преемник Моисея

12 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go up unto this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel;

Затем Господь сказал Моисею: – Поднимись на эту гору в нагорье Аварим и посмотри на землю, которую Я даю израильтянам.

13 a nd thou hast seen it, and thou hast been gathered unto thy people, also thou, as Aaron thy brother hath been gathered,

Увидев ее, ты также отойдешь к своему народу, вслед за твоим братом Аароном,

14 b ecause ye provoked My mouth in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the company -- to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes;' they waters of Meribah, in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin.

потому что вы восстали против Моего повеления и не явили Мою святость мятежному народу у вод в пустыне Цин. (Это были воды Меривы у Кадеша, что в пустыне Цин.)

15 A nd Moses speaketh unto Jehovah, saying,

Моисей сказал Господу:

16 ` Jehovah -- God of the spirits of all flesh -- appoint a man over the company,

– Пусть Господь, Бог духов всякой плоти, поставит над народом человека,

17 w ho goeth out before them, and who cometh in before them, and who taketh them out, and who bringeth them in, and the company of Jehovah is not as sheep which have no shepherd.'

который сможет идти перед ними и вести их, чтобы народ Господа не уподобился отаре без пастуха.

18 A nd Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Take to thee Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom the Spirit, and thou hast laid thine hand upon him,

Господь сказал Моисею: – Возьми Иисуса, сына Навина, человека, в котором есть Дух, и возложи на него руку.

19 a nd hast caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the company, and hast charged him before their eyes,

Поставь его перед священником Элеазаром и всем обществом и назначь его своим преемником.

20 a nd hast put of thine honour upon him, so that all the company of the sons of Israel do hearken.

Дай ему свою власть, чтобы народ израильтян слушался его.

21 ` And before Eleazar the priest he standeth, and he hath asked for him by the judgment of the Lights before Jehovah; at His word they go out, and at His word they come in; he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the company.'

Но пусть он ищет совет у священника Элеазара, который будет добывать для него решения, вопрошая перед Господом Урим. Его слово будет направлять Иисуса и народ израильтян во всех их делах.

22 A nd Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him, and taketh Joshua, and causeth him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the company,

Моисей сделал, как повелел ему Господь. Он поставил Иисуса перед священником Элеазаром и обществом,

23 a nd layeth his hands upon him, and chargeth him, as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses.

возложил на него руки и назначил его своим преемником, как говорил через Моисея Господь.
