1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the sixth year, in the sixth, in the fifth of the month, I am sitting in my house, and elders of Judah are sitting before me, and fall on me there doth a hand of the Lord Jehovah,

В шестом году, в пятый день шестого месяца, когда я сидел у себя дома, и старейшины Иудеи сидели передо мной, рука Владыки, Господа, снизошла на меня там.

2 a nd I look, and lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire, from the appearance of His loins and downward -- fire, and from His loins and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of copper.

Я посмотрел, и увидел Кого-то, похожего на человека. Ниже пояса Он был похож на огонь, а выше пояса Он сверкал, как сияющий металл.

3 A nd He putteth forth a form of a hand, and taketh me by a lock of my head, and lift me up doth a spirit between the earth and the heavens, and it bringeth me in to Jerusalem in visions of God, unto the opening of the inner gate that is facing the north, where the seat of the figure of jealousy that is making jealous,

Он простер подобие руки и взял меня за волосы. Дух поднял меня между землей и небом и в видениях Божьих принес меня в Иерусалим, ко входу в северные ворота внутреннего двора, где стоял идол, вызывающий Божью ревность.

4 a nd lo, there the honour of the God of Israel, as the appearance that I saw in the valley.

И вот, там предо мной явилась слава Бога Израиля, как в том видении, которое я видел на равнине.

5 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes the way of the north.' And I lift up mine eyes the way of the north, and lo, on the north of the gate of the altar this figure of jealousy, at the entrance.

И Бог сказал мне: – Сын человеческий, посмотри на север. Я посмотрел, и с северной стороны у ворот жертвенника увидел идол ревности.

6 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, art thou seeing what they are doing? the great abominations that the house of Israel are doing here, to keep far off from My sanctuary; and again thou dost turn, thou dost see great abominations.'

Бог сказал мне: – Сын человеческий, ты видишь, что они делают – эти страшные мерзости, которые дом Израиля творит здесь, чтобы удалить Меня из Моего святилища? Но ты увидишь еще большие мерзости.

7 A nd He bringeth me in unto an opening of the court, and I look, and lo, a hole in the wall;

Он привел меня ко входу во двор. Я посмотрел, и увидел отверстие в стене.

8 a nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, dig, I pray thee, through the wall;' and I dig through the wall, and lo, an opening.

Он сказал мне: – Сын человеческий, прокопай стену. Я прокопал и увидел какую-то дверь.

9 A nd He saith to me, `Go in, and see the evil abominations that they are doing here.'

Он сказал мне: – Войди и посмотри на гнусные мерзости, которые они здесь творят.

10 A nd I go in, and look, and lo, every form of creeping thing, and detestable beast -- and all the Idols of the house of Israel -- graved on the wall, all round about,

Я вошел, посмотрел и увидел нарисованные на стенах кругом изображения всяких ползучих тварей, мерзких животных и всех идолов дома Израиля.

11 a nd seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel -- and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing in their midst -- are standing before them, and each his censer in his hand, and the abundance of the cloud of perfume is going up.

Перед ними стояли семьдесят старейшин дома Израиля, и Иазания, сын Шафана, стоял среди них. Каждый держал в руке кадильницу, и поднималось благовонное облако дыма.

12 A nd He saith unto me, `Hast thou seen, son of man, that which elders of the house of Israel are doing in darkness, each in the inner chambers of his imagery, for they are saying, Jehovah is not seeing us, Jehovah hath forsaken the land?'

Бог сказал мне: – Сын человеческий, ты видел, что старейшины дома Израиля творят во мраке, каждый в святилище своего лжебога? Они говорят: «Господь не видит нас; Господь бросил страну». –

13 A nd He saith unto me, `Again thou dost turn, thou dost see great abominations that they are doing.'

И опять Он сказал мне: – Ты увидишь еще большие мерзости, которые они делают.

14 A nd He bringeth me in unto the opening of the gate of the house of Jehovah that at the north, and lo, there the women are sitting weeping for Tammuz.

Он привел меня ко входу в северные ворота Господнего дома, и я увидел сидящих там женщин, которые оплакивали Таммуза.

15 A nd He saith unto me, `Hast thou seen, son of man? again thou dost turn, thou dost see greater abominations than these.'

Он сказал мне: – Видишь это, сын человеческий? Ты увидишь еще большие мерзости.

16 A nd He bringeth me in unto the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and lo, at the opening of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, about twenty-five men, their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces eastward, and they are bowing themselves eastward to the sun.

Он ввел меня во внутренний двор Господнего дома; там, у входа в храм, между притвором и жертвенником было около двадцати пяти мужчин. Обратившись спиной к Господнему храму, а лицами на восток, они поклонялись солнцу на востоке.

17 A nd He saith unto me, `Hast thou seen, son of man? hath it been a light thing to the house of Judah to do the abomination that they have done here, that they have filled the land with violence, and turn back to provoke Me to anger? and lo, they are putting forth the branch unto their nose!

Он сказал мне: – Видел это, сын человеческий? Разве не достаточно скверно для дома Иуды совершать те мерзости, которые они здесь творят? Зачем они наполняют страну насилием и возбуждают Мой гнев еще сильнее? Гляди, как они подносят ветви к своим носам!

18 A nd I also deal in fury, Mine eye doth not pity, nor do I spare, and they have cried in Mine ears -- a loud voice -- and I do not hear them.'

За это Я изолью на них Свой гнев; Я не гляну на них с жалостью и не пощажу. Пусть кричат Мне в самые уши, Я не стану их слушать.
