1 S ing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.

– Ликуй, бесплодная, не рожавшая детей! Запевай песню, кричи и ликуй, никогда не испытывавшая родовых мук, потому что у покинутой женщины будет больше детей, чем у той, что имеет мужа, – говорит Господь. –

2 E nlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not -- lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.

Расширь место своего шатра, натяни покрывала своих жилищ, не теснись; сделай длиннее веревки, укрепи свои колья.

3 F or right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,

Ты распространишься направо и налево; потомки твои завладеют народами и заселят покинутые города.

4 A nd desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.

Не бойся, тебе не придется стыдиться; не смущайся, тебя не постигнет бесчестие. Ты забудешь стыд своей юности и не вспомнишь больше укора своего вдовства.

5 F or thy Maker thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts His name, And thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel, `God of all the earth,' He is called.

Потому что Создатель твой – муж твой; Господь Сил Его Имя, Святой Израилев – твой Искупитель; Он зовется Богом всей земли.

6 F or, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.

Господь позовет тебя, словно жену, оставленную и скорбящую духом, словно жену, взятую в юности, которая была брошена, – говорит Бог твой. –

7 I n a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,

На миг Я оставил тебя, но с великой милостью Я приму тебя.

8 I n overflowing wrath I hid my face a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer -- Jehovah!

В порыве гнева на миг Я скрыл от тебя лицо, но по нетленной любви Я помилую тебя, – говорит Господь, твой Искупитель. –

9 F or, the waters of Noah this to Me, In that I have sworn -- the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth -- So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.

Для Меня это как в дни Ноя, когда Я поклялся, что воды Ноя не покроют больше земли. И ныне поклялся Я не гневаться на тебя и не укорять тебя больше.

10 F or the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one -- Jehovah.

Пусть поколеблются горы, и сдвинутся с места холмы – Моя любовь к тебе не поколеблется, и Мой завет мира не двинется с места, – говорит милующий тебя Господь. –

11 O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,

О город-страдалец, истерзанный бурями и не утешенный! Я отстрою тебя бирюзой, и твои основания – сапфирами.

12 A nd have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,

Зубцы твоих стен Я сделаю из рубинов, ворота твои – из сверкающих драгоценностей, все стены твои – из самоцветов.

13 A nd all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant the peace of thy sons.

Все твои сыновья будут научены Господом, велико будет благополучие твоих сыновей.

14 I n righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.

Ты будешь утвержден в праведности: будешь далек от угнетения и ты не будешь бояться. Ужас удалится и не подступит к тебе.

15 L o, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!

Если кто нападет на тебя, то это будет не от Меня; кто нападет на тебя, тот тебе сдастся.

16 L o, I -- I have prepared an artizan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.

Вот, это Я сотворил кузнеца, раздувающего угли в пламя и кующего оружие, годное для своей цели, и Я сотворил разрушителя, чтобы губить.

17 N o weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!

Но никакое оружие, созданное против тебя, не будет успешно, и ты обличишь всякий язык, который тебя обвинит. Таково наследие слуг Господа, и таково оправдание им от Меня, – возвещает Господь.
