1 A nd the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, take each his censer, and put in them fire, and put on it perfume, and bring near before Jehovah strange fire, which He hath not commanded them;

Сыновья Аарона, Надав и Авиуд, взяли каждый свою кадильницу, положили в них тлеющие угли, добавили благовоний и принесли Господу чуждый огонь, чего Он им не велел.

2 a nd fire goeth out from before Jehovah, and consumeth them, and they die before Jehovah.

От Господа вышел огонь, который сжег их, и они погибли перед Господом.

3 A nd Moses saith unto Aaron, `It that which Jehovah hath spoken, saying, By those drawing near to Me I am sanctified, and in the face of all the people I am honoured;' and Aaron is silent.

Тогда Моисей сказал Аарону: – Это то, о чем Господь говорил: «Среди приближающихся ко Мне Я явлю Свою святость; на глазах у всего народа Я прославлюсь». Аарон промолчал.

4 A nd Moses calleth unto Mishael and unto Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, uncle of Aaron, and saith unto them, `Come near, bear your brethren from the front of the sanctuary unto the outside of the camp;'

Моисей призвал Мисаила и Елцафана, сыновей Узиила, дяди Аарона, и сказал им: – Подойдите и вынесите ваших родственников за лагерь, подальше от святилища.

5 a nd they come near, and bear them in their coats unto the outside of the camp, as Moses hath spoken.

Они подошли и, взяв их за халаты, вынесли их за лагерь, как приказал Моисей.

6 A nd Moses saith unto Aaron, and to Eleazar, and to Ithamar his sons, `Your heads ye do not uncover, and your garments ye do not rend, that ye die not, and on all the company He be wroth; as to your brethren, the whole house of Israel, they bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled;

Моисей сказал Аарону и его сыновьям Элеазару и Итамару: – Не оплакивайте их, распуская волосы и разрывая на себе одежду, иначе вы умрете, а Господь разгневается на весь народ. Но ваши сородичи, весь дом Израиля, могут оплакивать тех, кого Господь испепелил.

7 a nd from the opening of the tent of meeting ye do not go out, lest ye die, for the anointing oil of Jehovah upon you;' and they do according to the word of Moses.

Не уходите от входа в шатер собрания, иначе вы умрете, ведь на вас Господне помазание. Они исполнили то, что сказал Моисей. Обязанности священников

8 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Aaron, saying,

Господь сказал Аарону:

9 ` Wine and strong drink thou dost not drink, thou, and thy sons with thee, in your going in unto the tent of meeting, and ye die not -- a statute age-during to your generations;

– Ты и твои сыновья не должны пить вино или другие крепкие напитки, когда входите в шатер собрания, иначе вы умрете. Это – вечное установление для грядущих поколений.

10 s o as to make a separation between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the pure;

Различайте между святым и обычным, между чистым и нечистым,

11 a nd to teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which Jehovah hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.'

и учите израильтян уставам, которые Господь дал через Моисея.

12 A nd Moses speaketh unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar, and unto Ithamar his sons, who are left, `Take ye the present that is left from the fire-offerings of Jehovah, and eat it unleavened near the altar, for it most holy,

Моисей сказал Аарону и его оставшимся сыновьям, Элеазару и Итамару: – Возьмите хлебное приношение, которое осталось из огненных жертв Господу, и ешьте его, приготовленное без закваски, возле жертвенника, потому что это – великая святыня.

13 a nd ye have eaten it in the holy place, for it thy portion, and the portion of thy sons, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah; for so I have been commanded.

Ешьте его на святом месте, потому что оно – твоя доля и доля твоих сыновей в огненных жертвах Господу; мне было так велено.

14 ` And the breast of the wave-offering, and the leg of the heave-offering, ye do eat in a clean place, thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee; for thy portion and the portion of thy sons they have been given, out of the sacrifices of peace-offerings of the sons of Israel;

Ты, твои сыновья и дочери можете есть грудину потрясания и бедро возношения. Ешьте их на чистом месте; они даны тебе и твоим детям как ваша доля в жертвах примирения, приносимых израильтянами.

15 t he leg of the heave-offering, and breast of the wave-offering, besides fire-offerings of the fat, they do bring in to wave a wave-offering before Jehovah, and it hath been to thee, and to thy sons with thee, by a statute age-during, as Jehovah hath commanded.'

Бедро возношения и грудину потрясания следует приносить с жиром огненных жертв, чтобы их потрясали перед Господом как приношение потрясания. Это будет постоянной долей тебе и твоим детям, как повелел Господь.

16 A nd the goat of the sin-offering hath Moses diligently sought, and lo, it is burnt, and he is wroth against Eleazar, and against Ithamar, sons of Aaron, who are left, saying,

Когда Моисей спросил о козле жертвы за грех и узнал, что его уже сожгли, он разгневался на Элеазара и Итамара, оставшихся сыновей Аарона. Он спросил:

17 ` Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin-offering in the holy place, for it most holy -- and it He hath given to you to take away the iniquity of the company, to make atonement for them before Jehovah?

– Почему вы не ели жертву за грех на святом месте? Это – великая святыня; она была дана вам, чтобы вы сняли вину общины, совершив для них отпущение перед Господом.

18 l o, its blood hath not been brought in unto the holy place within; eating ye do eat it in the holy place, as I have commanded.'

Раз ее кровь не внесли в святилище, вы должны были съесть жертву на святом месте, как я велел.

19 A nd Aaron speaketh unto Moses, `Lo, to-day they have brought near their sin-offering and their burnt-offering before Jehovah; and like these meet me, yet I have eaten a sin-offering to-day; is it good in the eyes of Jehovah?'

Аарон ответил Моисею: – Сегодня они принесли жертву за грех и всесожжение Господу, и все же со мной случилось такое! Неужели Господу было бы угодно, если бы я сегодня съел приношение за грех?

20 A nd Moses hearkeneth, and it is good in his eyes.

Услышав это, Моисей согласился.
