1 A nd he said to them, `Verily I say to you, That there are certain of those standing here, who may not taste of death till they see the reign of God having come in power.'

Иисус сказал им: – Говорю вам истину: некоторые из стоящих здесь не умрут, пока не увидят, что Божье Царство пришло в силе. Преображение Иисуса (Мат. 17: 1-13; Лк. 9: 28-36)

2 A nd after six days doth Jesus take Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up to a high mount by themselves, alone, and he was transfigured before them,

Через шесть дней Иисус взял с Собой Петра, Иакова и Иоанна и привел их на высокую гору. Они были там совсем одни. И на глазах учеников Его облик изменился.

3 a nd his garments became glittering, white exceedingly, as snow, so as a fuller upon the earth is not able to whiten.

Его одежда стала сияющей, ослепительно белой, как ни один белильщик в мире не смог бы отбелить.

4 A nd there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.

Затем они увидели Илию и Моисея, беседующих с Иисусом.

5 A nd Peter answering saith to Jesus, `Rabbi, it is good to us to be here; and we may make three booths, for thee one, and for Moses one, and for Elijah one:'

Петр сказал Иисусу: – Рабби, нам здесь так хорошо! Давай мы сделаем три шалаша: один Тебе, один Моисею и один Илии, –

6 f or he was not knowing what he might say, for they were greatly afraid.

он и сам не знал, что сказать, потому что они были сильно испуганы.

7 A nd there came a cloud overshadowing them, and there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, `This is My Son -- the Beloved, hear ye him;'

Тут появилось облако и накрыло их, и из облака прозвучал голос: – Это Мой любимый Сын, слушайте Его!

8 a nd suddenly, having looked around, they saw no one any more, but Jesus only with themselves.

Ученики вдруг оглянулись и уже никого не увидели рядом с собой, кроме Иисуса.

9 A nd as they are coming down from the mount, he charged them that they may declare to no one the things that they saw, except when the Son of Man may rise out of the dead;

Когда они спускались с горы, Иисус предупредил их, чтобы они никому не рассказывали о том, что видели, до тех пор, пока Сын Человеческий не воскреснет из мертвых.

10 a nd the thing they kept to themselves, questioning together what the rising out of the dead is.

Они сохранили это в тайне, но между собой рассуждали о том, что же означают слова «воскреснуть из мертвых».

11 A nd they were questioning him, saying, that the scribes say that Elijah it behoveth to come first.

А Иисуса они спросили: – Почему учители Закона говорят, что вначале, перед Мессией, должен прийти Илия?

12 A nd he answering said to them, `Elijah indeed, having come first, doth restore all things; and how hath it been written concerning the Son of Man, that many things he may suffer, and be set at nought?

– Верно, – ответил Иисус, – Илия действительно должен прийти первым и все приготовить. Но почему же о Сыне Человеческом в Писании говорится, что Ему придется перенести много страданий и унижений?

13 B ut I say to you, That also Elijah hath come, and they did to him what they willed, as it hath been written of him.'

Но говорю вам, что Илия уже пришел, и люди поступили с ним по своему произволу, как о нем и было написано. Иисус исцеляет мальчика, одержимого нечистым духом (Мат. 17: 14-19; Лк. 9: 37-42)

14 A nd having come unto the disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and scribes questioning with them,

Когда они вернулись к остальным ученикам, то увидели, что тех окружила большая толпа и учители Закона спорят с ними.

15 a nd immediately, all the multitude having seen him, were amazed, and running near, were saluting him.

Когда все увидели Иисуса, они пришли в крайнее изумление и побежали Ему навстречу, чтобы приветствовать Его.

16 A nd he questioned the scribes, `What dispute ye with them?'

– О чем у вас спор? – спросил Иисус.

17 a nd one out of the multitude answering said, `Teacher, I brought my son unto thee, having a dumb spirit;

Кто-то из толпы ответил: – Учитель, я привел к Тебе сына, в него вселился дух немоты.

18 a nd wherever it doth seize him, it doth tear him, and he foameth, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away; and I spake to thy disciples that they may cast it out, and they were not able.'

И когда дух схватывает его, то бросает его на землю, и тогда у мальчика идет пена изо рта, он скрежещет зубами и цепенеет. Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать духа, но они не смогли.

19 A nd he answering him, said, `O generation unbelieving, till when shall I be with you? till when shall I suffer you? bring him unto me;'

Иисус в ответ сказал: – О неверующее поколение! Сколько Мне еще быть с вами? Сколько Мне еще терпеть вас? Приведите мальчика ко Мне.

20 a nd they brought him unto him, and he having seen him, immediately the spirit tare him, and he, having fallen upon the earth, was wallowing -- foaming.

Мальчика привели. Как только дух увидел Иисуса, он вызвал у мальчика приступ, и тот упал и стал кататься по земле, и изо рта у него пошла пена.

21 A nd he questioned his father, `How long time is it since this came to him?' and he said, `From childhood,

– Давно с ним так? – спросил Иисус у отца. – С самого детства, – ответил тот. –

22 a nd many times also it cast him into fire, and into water, that it might destroy him; but if thou art able to do anything, help us, having compassion on us.'

Дух часто бросает его то в огонь, то в воду, чтобы погубить его. Сжалься над нами и помоги, если Ты что-нибудь можешь сделать.

23 A nd Jesus said to him, `If thou art able to believe! all things are possible to the one that is believing;'

– Если можешь?! – сказал Иисус. – Кто верит, тот может все.

24 a nd immediately the father of the child, having cried out, with tears said, `I believe, sir; be helping mine unbelief.'

И тотчас отец мальчика воскликнул: – Я верю, но помоги моему неверию!

25 J esus having seen that a multitude doth run together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, `Spirit -- dumb and deaf -- I charge thee, come forth out of him, and no more thou mayest enter into him;'

Иисус, увидев, что сбегается толпа, приказал нечистому духу, говоря: – Дух немоты и глухоты, Я приказываю тебе: выйди из него и больше никогда не входи!

26 a nd having cried, and rent him much, it came forth, and he became as dead, so that many said that he was dead,

Вскрикнув и сильно сотрясши мальчика, дух вышел. Мальчик стал как мертвый, так что многие говорили, что он умер.

27 b ut Jesus, having taken him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.

Но Иисус, взяв мальчика за руку, поднял его, и тот встал.

28 A nd he having come into the house, his disciples were questioning him by himself -- `Why were we not able to cast it forth?'

Позже, когда Иисус вошел в дом, ученики спросили Его наедине: – Почему же мы не смогли изгнать его?

29 A nd he said to them, `This kind is able to come forth with nothing except with prayer and fasting.'

Иисус ответил: – Этот вид демонов можно изгнать только молитвой и постом. Иисус вновь говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении (Мат. 17: 22-23; Лк. 9: 43-45)

30 A nd having gone forth thence, they were passing through Galilee, and he did not wish that any may know,

Покинув ту местность, Иисус и Его ученики проходили через Галилею, и Иисус не хотел, чтобы кто-либо об этом знал,

31 f or he was teaching his disciples, and he said to them, `The Son of Man is being delivered to the hands of men, and they shall kill him, and having been killed the third day he shall rise,'

потому что Он был занят наставлением Своих учеников. Он говорил им: – Сын Человеческий будет предан в руки людей, которые убьют Его, но через три дня Он воскреснет.

32 b ut they were not understanding the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

Но они не поняли, что Он имел в виду, а спросить боялись. Ученики Иисуса спорят о том, кто из них важнее (Мат. 18: 1-5; Лк. 9: 46-48)

33 A nd he came to Capernaum, and being in the house, he was questioning them, `What were ye reasoning in the way among yourselves?'

Они пришли в Капернаум, и когда расположились в доме, Иисус спросил учеников: – Скажите, о чем это вы говорили по дороге?

34 a nd they were silent, for with one another they did reason in the way who is greater;

Но они молчали, потому что по дороге они спорили о том, кто из них важнее.

35 a nd having sat down he called the twelve, and he saith to them, `If any doth will to be first, he shall be last of all, and minister of all.'

Тогда Иисус сел, созвал двенадцать учеников и сказал: – Кто хочет быть первым, тот пусть будет последним из всех и всем слугой.

36 A nd having taken a child, he set him in the midst of them, and having taken him in his arms, said to them,

Взяв ребенка, Он поставил его посреди них, обнял его и продолжал:

37 ` Whoever may receive one of such children in my name, doth receive me, and whoever may receive me, doth not receive me, but Him who sent me.'

– Кто принимает одного из таких детей ради Моего Имени, тот принимает и Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня. Кто не против нас, тот за нас (Мат. 10: 42; Лк. 9: 49-50)

38 A nd John did answer him, saying, `Teacher, we saw a certain one in thy name casting out demons, who doth not follow us, and we forbade him, because he doth not follow us.'

Иоанн сказал Ему: – Учитель! Мы видели человека, который Твоим Именем изгонял демонов, и мы запрещали ему, потому что он не следовал за нами.

39 A nd Jesus said, `Forbid him not, for there is no one who shall do a mighty work in my name, and shall be able readily to speak evil of me:

– Не запрещайте ему, – сказал Иисус. – Кто Моим Именем совершает чудеса, тот не станет после этого говорить обо Мне плохо.

40 f or he who is not against us is for us;

Кто не против нас, тот за нас.

41 f or whoever may give you to drink a cup of water in my name, because ye are Christ's, verily I say to you, he may not lose his reward;

Если кто-либо напоит вас чашей воды за то, что вы носите Мое Имя, то, говорю вам истину, он не останется без награды.

42 a nd whoever may cause to stumble one of the little ones believing in me, better is it for him if a millstone is hanged about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea.

Если же кто введет в грех одного из этих малых, верующих в Меня, то для него было бы лучше, если бы ему надели на шею мельничный жернов и бросили в море. Иисус предупреждает об искушениях (Мат. 18: 8-9; Лк. 17: 1-2)

43 ` And if thy hand may cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is better for thee maimed to enter into the life, than having the two hands, to go away to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable --

Если твоя рука влечет тебя ко греху, отсеки ее. Лучше тебе с одной рукой войти в жизнь, чем с двумя руками пойти в ад, в неугасимый огонь,

44 w here there worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.

где червь их не умирает и огонь не угасает.

45 ` And if thy foot may cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter into the life lame, than having the two feet to be cast to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable --

Если твоя нога влечет тебя ко греху, отсеки ее. Лучше тебе войти в жизнь калекой, чем с двумя ногами быть брошенным в ад,

46 w here there worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.

где червь их не умирает и огонь не угасает.

47 A nd if thine eye may cause thee to stumble, cast it out; it is better for thee one-eyed to enter into the reign of God, than having two eyes, to be cast to the gehenna of the fire --

Если твой глаз влечет тебя ко греху, вырви его. Лучше тебе с одним глазом войти в Божье Царство, чем с двумя глазами быть брошенным в ад,

48 w here their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched;

где червь их не умирает и огонь не угасает.

49 f or every one with fire shall be salted, and every sacrifice with salt shall be salted.

Потому что каждый будет очищен огнем, как жертва очищается солью.

50 T he salt good, but if the salt may become saltless, in what will ye season ? Have in yourselves salt, and have peace in one another.'

Соль – хорошая вещь, но если она потеряет свой вкус, то что может опять сделать ее соленой? Имейте в себе соль и будьте в мире друг с другом.
