1 A nd the queen of Sheba hath heard of the fame of Solomon, and cometh in to try Solomon with acute sayings, to Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels bearing spices and gold in abundance, and precious stone; and she cometh in unto Solomon, and speaketh with him all that hath been with her heart,

Cuando la reina de Sabá oyó de la fama de Salomón, vino a Jerusalén a probar a Salomón con preguntas difíciles. Ella tenía un séquito muy grande, con camellos cargados de especias y gran cantidad de oro y piedras preciosas. Cuando vino a Salomón, habló con él de todo lo que tenía en su corazón.

2 a nd Solomon declareth to her all her matters, and there hath not been hid a thing from Solomon that he hath not declared to her.

Y Salomón contestó todas sus preguntas; no hubo nada tan oscuro que Salomón no pudiera explicárselo.

3 A nd the queen of Sheba seeth the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he hath built,

Cuando la reina de Sabá vio la sabiduría de Salomón, la casa que él había edificado,

4 a nd the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his stewards, and their clothing, an his burnt-offering that he offered up in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been any more spirit in her.

los manjares de su mesa, las habitaciones de sus siervos, el porte de sus ministros y sus vestiduras, sus coperos y sus vestiduras, y la escalinata por la cual él subía a la casa del Señor, se quedó sin aliento.

5 A nd she saith unto the king, `True the word that I heard in my land concerning thy matters and concerning thy wisdom,

6 a nd I have given no credence to their words, till that I have come, and mine eyes see, and lo, there hath not been declared to me the half of the abundance of thy wisdom -- thou hast added unto the report that I heard.

Pero yo no creía lo que me decían, hasta que he venido y mis ojos lo han visto. Y he aquí, no se me había contado ni la mitad de la grandeza de tu sabiduría. Tú superas todo lo que había oído.

7 ` O the happiness of thy men, and the happiness of thy servants -- these -- who are standing before thee continually, and hearing thy wisdom.

Bienaventurados tus hombres, bienaventurados estos tus siervos que están delante de ti continuamente y oyen tu sabiduría.

8 L et Jehovah thy God be blessed who hath delighted in thee, to put thee on His throne for king for Jehovah thy God; in the love of thy God to Israel, to establish it to the age, He hath put thee over them for king, to do judgment and righteousness.'

Bendito sea el Señor tu Dios que se agradó en ti, poniéndote sobre su trono como rey para el Señor tu Dios; porque tu Dios amó a Israel afirmándolo para siempre, por lo cual te ha puesto por rey sobre ellos para hacer derecho y justicia.

9 A nd she giveth to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stone; and there hath not been any such spice as the queen of Sheba hath given to king Solomon.

Entonces ella dio al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro, y gran cantidad de especias aromáticas y piedras preciosas. Nunca hubo especias aromáticas como las que la reina de Sabá dio al rey Salomón.

10 A nd also, servants of Huram, and servants of Solomon, who brought in gold from Ophir, have brought in algum-trees and precious stone.

Y los siervos de Hiram y los siervos de Salomón que habían traído oro de Ofir, trajeron también madera de sándalo y piedras preciosas.

11 A nd the king maketh the algum-trees staircases for the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; and there have been none seen like these before in the land of Judah.

Con la madera de sándalo el rey hizo gradas para la casa del Señor y para el palacio del rey; también liras y arpas para los cantores; no se había visto en la tierra de Judá madera como ésa.

12 A nd king Solomon hath given to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which she had brought unto the king, and she turneth and goeth to her land, she and her servants.

El rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sabá todo cuanto ella quiso pedirle, más de lo que había traído al rey. Después ella se volvió y regresó a su tierra con sus siervos. Riqueza y sabiduría de Salomón

13 A nd the weight of the gold that is coming to Solomon in one year is six hundred and sixty and six talents of gold,

El peso del oro que llegaba a Salomón en un solo año era de seiscientos sesenta y seis talentos de oro,

14 a part from the tourists, and the merchants, are bringing in; and all the kings of Arabia, and the governors of the land, are bringing in gold and silver to Solomon.

sin contar lo que los mercaderes y los comerciantes traían. Todos los reyes de Arabia y los gobernadores de la tierra traían oro y plata a Salomón.

15 A nd king Solomon maketh two hundred targets of alloyed gold, six hundred of alloyed gold he causeth to go up on the one target;

Y el rey Salomón hizo doscientos escudos grandes de oro batido, usando seiscientos siclos de oro batido en cada escudo.

16 a nd three hundred shields of alloyed gold, three hundred of gold he causeth to go up on the one shield, and the king putteth them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

También hizo trescientos escudos de oro batido, usando trescientos siclos de oro en cada escudo; y el rey los puso en la casa del bosque del Líbano.

17 A nd the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with pure gold;

El rey hizo además un gran trono de marfil y lo revistió de oro puro.

18 a nd six steps to the throne, and a footstool of gold, to the throne they are fastened, and hands on this and on that on the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,

Y había seis gradas hasta el trono y un estrado de oro unido al trono, con brazos a cada lado del asiento, y dos leones de pie junto a los brazos.

19 a nd twelve lions are standing there on the six steps on this, and on that: it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

Y doce leones estaban allí de pie en las seis gradas a uno y otro lado; nada semejante se hizo para ningún otro reino.

20 A nd all the drinking vessels of king Solomon of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon of refined gold -- silver is not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything;

Todos los vasos de beber del rey Salomón eran de oro, y todas las vasijas de la casa del bosque del Líbano eran de oro puro. A la plata no se le atribuía valor en los días de Salomón,

21 f or ships of the king are going to Tarshish, with servants of Huram: once in three years come do the ships of Tarshish bearing gold, and silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

porque el rey tenía naves que iban a Tarsis con los siervos de Hiram, y cada tres años las naves de Tarsis venían trayendo oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavos reales.

22 A nd king Solomon becometh greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and wisdom;

Así el rey Salomón llegó a ser más grande que todos los reyes de la tierra en riqueza y sabiduría.

23 a nd all the kings of the earth are seeking the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom that God hath put in his heart,

Y todos los reyes de la tierra procuraban ver a Salomón, para oír la sabiduría que Dios había puesto en su corazón.

24 a nd they are bringing in each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

Cada uno de ellos traía su presente: objetos de plata y objetos de oro, vestidos, armas, especias, caballos y mulos; y así año tras año.

25 A nd there are to Solomon four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placed them in cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.

Salomón tenía cuatro mil establos para los caballos y carros y doce mil hombres de a caballo, y los situó en las ciudades de carros y en Jerusalén, junto al rey.

26 A nd he is ruling over all the kings from the River even unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt.

El tenía dominio sobre todos los reyes desde el Eufrates hasta la tierra de los filisteos, y hasta la frontera de Egipto.

27 A nd the king maketh the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he hath made as sycamores, that in the low country, for abundance,

El rey hizo la plata tan común en Jerusalén como las piedras, e hizo los cedros tan abundantes como los sicómoros que están en el llano.

28 a nd they are bringing out horses from Egypt to Solomon, and from all the lands.

Y traían para Salomón caballos de Egipto y de todos los países. Muerte de Salomón

29 A nd the rest of the matters of Solomon, the first and the last, are they not written beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and with the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat?

Los demás hechos de Salomón, los primeros y los postreros, ¿no están escritos en las palabras del profeta Natán y en la profecía de Ahías silonita, en las visiones del vidente Iddo acerca de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat?

30 A nd Solomon reigneth in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years,

Y reinó Salomón en Jerusalén sobre todo Israel cuarenta años.

31 a nd Solomon lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David his father, and reign doth Rehoboam his son in his stead.

Y durmió Salomón con sus padres, y fue sepultado en la ciudad de su padre David; y su hijo Roboam reinó en su lugar.
