1 ` Thou dost not lift up a vain report; thou dost not put thy hand with a wicked man to be a violent witness.

No propagarás falso rumor; no te concertarás con el impío para ser testigo falso.

2 ` Thou art not after many to evil, nor dost thou testify concerning a strife, to turn aside after many to cause to turn aside;

No seguirás a la multitud para hacer el mal, ni testificarás en un pleito inclinándote a la multitud para pervertir la justicia;

3 a nd a poor man thou dost not honour in his strife.

tampoco serás parcial al pobre en su pleito.

4 ` When thou meetest thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou dost certainly turn it back to him;

Si encuentras extraviado el buey de tu enemigo o su asno, ciertamente se lo devolverás.

5 w hen thou seest the ass of him who is hating thee crouching under its burden, then thou hast ceased from leaving to it -- thou dost certainly leave with him.

Si ves caído debajo de su carga el asno de uno que te aborrece, no se lo dejarás a él solo, ciertamente lo ayudarás a levantar lo.

6 ` Thou dost not turn aside the judgment of thy needy one in his strife;

No pervertirás el derecho de tu hermano menesteroso en su pleito.

7 f rom a false matter thou dost keep far off, and an innocent and righteous man thou dost not slay; for I do not justify a wicked man.

Aléjate de acusación falsa, y no mates al inocente ni al justo, porque yo no absolveré al culpable.

8 ` And a bribe thou dost not take; for the bribe bindeth the open-, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Y no aceptarás soborno, porque el soborno ciega aun al de vista clara y pervierte las palabras del justo.

9 ` And a sojourner thou dost not oppress, and ye -- ye have known the soul of the sojourner, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt.

No oprimirás al extranjero, porque vosotros conocéis los sentimientos del extranjero, ya que vosotros también fuisteis extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto.

10 ` And six years thou dost sow thy land, and hast gathered its increase;

Seis años sembrarás tu tierra y recogerás su producto;

11 a nd the seventh thou dost release it, and hast left it, and the needy of thy people have eaten, and their leaving doth the beast of the field eat; so dost thou to thy vineyard -- to thine olive-yard.

pero el séptimo año la dejarás descansar, sin cultivar, para que coman los pobres de tu pueblo, y de lo que ellos dejen, coman las bestias del campo. Lo mismo harás con tu viña y con tu olivar.

12 ` Six days thou dost do thy work, and on the seventh day thou dost rest, so that thine ox and thine ass doth rest, and the son of thine handmaid and the sojourner is refreshed;

Seis días trabajarás, pero el séptimo día dejarás de trabajar, para que descansen tu buey y tu asno, y para que el hijo de tu sierva, así como el extranjero renueven sus fuerzas.

13 a nd in all that which I have said unto you ye do take heed; and the name of other gods ye do not mention; it is not heard on thy mouth.

Y en cuanto a todo lo que os he dicho, estad alerta; no mencionéis ni se oiga en vuestros labios el nombre de otros dioses. Fiestas anuales y primicias

14 ` Three times thou dost keep a feast to Me in a year;

Tres veces al año me celebraréis fiesta.

15 t he Feast of Unleavened things thou dost keep; seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, as I have commanded thee, at the time appointed the month of Abib; for in it thou hast come forth out of Egypt, and ye do not appear My presence empty;

Guardarás la fiesta de los panes sin levadura. Siete días comerás pan sin levadura, como yo te mandé, en el tiempo señalado del mes de Abib, pues en él saliste de Egipto. Y nadie se presentará ante mí con las manos vacías.

16 a nd the Feast of Harvest, the first fruits of thy works which thou sowest in the field; and the Feast of the In-Gathering, in the outgoing of the year, in thy gathering thy works out of the field.

También guardarás la fiesta de la siega de los primeros frutos de tus labores, de lo que siembres en el campo; y la fiesta de la cosecha al fin del año cuando recojas del campo el fruto de tu trabajo.

17 ` Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the face of the Lord Jehovah.

Tres veces al año se presentarán todos tus varones delante del Señor Dios.

18 ` Thou dost not sacrifice on a fermented thing the blood of My sacrifice, and the fat of My festival doth not remain till morning;

No ofrecerás la sangre de mi sacrificio con pan leudado; ni la grosura de mi fiesta quedará hasta la mañana.

19 t he beginning of the first-fruits of thy ground thou dost bring into the house of Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

Traerás lo mejor de las primicias de tu tierra a la casa del Señor tu Dios. No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre. Promesa del retorno a Canaán

20 ` Lo, I am sending a messenger before thee to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee in unto the place which I have prepared;

He aquí, yo enviaré un ángel delante de ti, para que te guarde en el camino y te traiga al lugar que yo he preparado.

21 b e watchful because of his presence, and hearken to his voice, rebel not against him, for he beareth not with your transgression, for My name in his heart;

Sé prudente delante de él y obedece su voz; no seas rebelde contra él, pues no perdonará vuestra rebelión, porque en él está mi nombre.

22 f or, if thou diligently hearken to his voice, and hast done all that which I speak, then I have been at enmity with thine enemies, and have distressed those distressing thee.

Pero si en verdad obedeces su voz y haces todo lo que yo digo, entonces seré enemigo de tus enemigos y adversario de tus adversarios.

23 ` For My messenger goeth before thee, and hath brought thee in unto the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, and I have cut them off.

Pues mi ángel irá delante de ti y te llevará a la tierra del amorreo, del hitita, del ferezeo, del cananeo, del heveo y del jebuseo; y los destruiré por completo.

24 ` Thou dost not bow thyself to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their doings, but dost utterly devote them, and thoroughly break their standing pillars.

No adorarás sus dioses, ni los servirás, ni harás lo que ellos hacen; sino que los derribarás totalmente y harás pedazos sus pilares sagrados.

25 ` And ye have served Jehovah your God, and He hath blessed thy bread and thy water, and I have turned aside sickness from thine heart;

Mas serviréis al Señor vuestro Dios, y El bendecirá tu pan y tu agua; y yo quitaré las enfermedades de en medio de ti.

26 t here is not a miscarrying and barren one in thy land; the number of thy days I fulfil:

No habrá en tu tierra ninguna mujer que aborte ni que sea estéril; haré que se cumpla el número de tus días.

27 M y terror I send before thee, and I have put to death all the people among whom thou comest, and I have given the neck of all thine enemies unto thee.

Enviaré mi terror delante de ti, y llenaré de confusión a todo pueblo donde llegues; y haré que todos tus enemigos ante ti vuelvan la espalda.

28 ` And I have sent the hornet before thee, and it hath cast out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee;

Y enviaré avispas delante de ti para que echen fuera al heveo, al cananeo y al hitita de delante de ti.

29 I cast them not out from before thee in one year, lest the land be a desolation, and the beast of the field hath multiplied against thee;

No los echaré de delante de ti en un solo año, a fin de que la tierra no quede desolada y se multipliquen contra ti las bestias del campo.

30 l ittle little I cast them out from before thee, till thou art fruitful, and hast inherited the land.

Poco a poco los echaré de delante de ti, hasta que te multipliques y tomes posesión de la tierra.

31 ` And I have set thy border from the Red Sea, even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River: for I give into your hand the inhabitants of the land, and thou hast cast them out from before thee;

Y fijaré tus límites desde el mar Rojo hasta el mar de los filisteos, y desde el desierto hasta el río Eufrates; porque en tus manos entregaré a los habitantes de esa tierra, y tú los echarás de delante de ti.

32 t hou dost not make a covenant with them, and with their gods;

No harás pacto con ellos ni con sus dioses.

33 t hey do not dwell in thy land, lest they cause thee to sin against Me when thou servest their gods, when it becometh a snare to thee.'

Ellos no habitarán en tu tierra, no sea que te hagan pecar contra mí; porque si sirves a sus dioses, ciertamente esto será tropezadero para ti.
