1 A nd I, having come unto you, brethren, came -- not in superiority of discourse or wisdom -- declaring to you the testimony of God,

Cuando fui a vosotros, hermanos, proclamándoos el testimonio de Dios, no fui con superioridad de palabra o de sabiduría,

2 f or I decided not to know any thing among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified;

pues nada me propuse saber entre vosotros, excepto a Jesucristo, y éste crucificado.

3 a nd I, in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling, was with you;

Y estuve entre vosotros con debilidad, y con temor y mucho temblor.

4 a nd my word and my preaching was not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power --

Y ni mi mensaje ni mi predicación fueron con palabras persuasivas de sabiduría, sino con demostración del Espíritu y de poder,

5 t hat your faith may not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

para que vuestra fe no descanse en la sabiduría de los hombres, sino en el poder de Dios. La revelación por el Espíritu de Dios

6 A nd wisdom we speak among the perfect, and wisdom not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age -- of those becoming useless,

Sin embargo, hablamos sabiduría entre los que han alcanzado madurez; pero una sabiduría no de este siglo, ni de los gobernantes de este siglo, que van desapareciendo,

7 b ut we speak the hidden wisdom of God in a secret, that God foreordained before the ages to our glory,

sino que hablamos sabiduría de Dios en misterio, la sabiduría oculta que, desde antes de los siglos, Dios predestinó para nuestra gloria;

8 w hich no one of the rulers of this age did know, for if they had known, the Lord of the glory they would not have crucified;

la sabiduría que ninguno de los gobernantes de este siglo ha entendido, porque si la hubieran entendido no habrían crucificado al Señor de gloria;

9 b ut, according as it hath been written, `What eye did not see, and ear did not hear, and upon the heart of man came not up, what God did prepare for those loving Him --'

sino como está escrito: Cosas que ojo no vio, ni oido oyo, Ni han entrado al corazon del hombre, son las cosas que Dios ha preparado para los que le aman.

10 b ut to us did God reveal through His Spirit, for the Spirit all things doth search, even the depths of God,

Pero Dios nos las reveló por medio del Espíritu, porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun las profundidades de Dios.

11 f or who of men hath known the things of the man, except the spirit of the man that in him? so also the things of God no one hath known, except the Spirit of God.

Porque entre los hombres, ¿quién conoce los pensamientos de un hombre, sino el espíritu del hombre que está en él? Asimismo, nadie conoce los pensamientos de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios.

12 A nd we the spirit of the world did not receive, but the Spirit that of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us,

Y nosotros hemos recibido, no el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para que conozcamos lo que Dios nos ha dado gratuitamente,

13 w hich things also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, with spiritual things spiritual things comparing,

de lo cual también hablamos, no con palabras enseñadas por sabiduría humana, sino con las enseñadas por el Espíritu, combinando pensamientos espirituales con palabras espirituales.

14 a nd the natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they are foolishness, and he is not able to know, because spiritually they are discerned;

Pero el hombre natural no acepta las cosas del Espíritu de Dios, porque para él son necedad; y no las puede entender, porque se disciernen espiritualmente.

15 a nd he who is spiritual, doth discern indeed all things, and he himself is by no one discerned;

En cambio, el que es espiritual juzga todas las cosas; pero él no es juzgado por nadie.

16 f or who did know the mind of the Lord that he shall instruct Him? and we -- we have the mind of Christ.

Porque ¿ quien ha conocido la mente del Señor, para que le instruya ? Mas nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo.
