1 I n many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets,

Dios, habiendo hablado hace mucho tiempo, en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras a los padres por los profetas,

2 i n these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;

en estos últimos días nos ha hablado por su Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todas las cosas, por medio de quien hizo también el universo.

3 w ho being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest,

El es el resplandor de su gloria y la expresión exacta de su naturaleza, y sostiene todas las cosas por la palabra de su poder. Después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 h aving become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they.

5 F or to which of the messengers said He ever, `My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee?' and again, `I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Hijo mio eres tu, yo te he engendrado hoy; y otra vez: Yo sere Padre para El, y El sera Hijo para mi ?

6 a nd when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He saith, `And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;'

Y de nuevo, cuando trae al Primogénito al mundo, dice: Y adorenle todos los angeles de Dios.

7 a nd unto the messengers, indeed, He saith, `Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;'

Y de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus angeles, espiritus, y a sus ministros, llama de fuego.

8 a nd unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness the scepter of thy reign;

Pero del Hijo dice: Tu trono, oh Dios, es por los siglos de los siglos, y cetro de equidad es el cetro de tu reino.

9 t hou didst love righteousness, and didst hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint thee -- God, thy God -- with oil of gladness above thy partners;'

Has amado la justicia y aborrecido la iniquidad; por lo cual Dios, tu Dios, te ha ungido con oleo de alegria mas que a tus compañeros.

10 a nd, `Thou, at the beginning, Lord, the earth didst found, and a work of thy hands are the heavens;

Y: Tu, Señor, en el principio pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y los cielos son obra de tus manos;

11 t hese shall perish, and Thou dost remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old,

Ellos pereceran, pero tu permaneces; y todos ellos como una vestidura se envejeceran,

12 a nd as a mantle Thou shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.'

y como un manto los enrollaras; como una vestidura seran mudados. Pero tu eres el mismo, y tus años no tendran fin.

13 A nd unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?'

Pero, ¿a cuál de los ángeles ha dicho jamás: Sientate a mi diestra hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies ?

14 a re they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?

¿No son todos ellos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servir por causa de los que heredarán la salvación ?
