1 I n the freedom, then, with which Christ did make you free -- stand ye, and be not held fast again by a yoke of servitude;

2 l o, I Paul do say to you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing;

Mirad, yo, Pablo, os digo que si os dejáis circuncidar, Cristo de nada os aprovechará.

3 a nd I testify again to every man circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law;

Y otra vez testifico a todo hombre que se circuncida, que está obligado a cumplir toda la ley.

4 y e were freed from the Christ, ye who in law are declared righteous; from the grace ye fell away;

De Cristo os habéis separado, vosotros que procuráis ser justificados por la ley; de la gracia habéis caído.

5 f or we by the Spirit, by faith, a hope of righteousness do wait for,

Pues nosotros, por medio del Espíritu, esperamos por la fe la esperanza de justicia.

6 f or in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith through love working.

Porque en Cristo Jesús ni la circuncisión ni la incircuncisión significan nada, sino la fe que obra por amor.

7 Y e were running well; who did hinder you -- not to obey the truth?

Vosotros corríais bien, ¿quién os impidió obedecer a la verdad?

8 t he obedience not of him who is calling you!

Esta persuasión no vino de aquel que os llama.

9 a little leaven the whole lump doth leaven;

Un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa.

10 I have confidence in regard to you in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded; and he who is troubling you shall bear the judgment, whoever he may be.

Yo tengo confianza respecto a vosotros en el Señor de que no optaréis por otro punto de vista; pero el que os perturba llevará su castigo, quienquiera que sea.

11 A nd I, brethren, if uncircumcision I yet preach, why yet am I persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away;

Pero yo, hermanos, si todavía predico la circuncisión, ¿por qué soy perseguido aún ? En tal caso, el escándalo de la cruz ha sido abolido.

12 O that even they would cut themselves off who are unsettling you!

¡Ojalá que los que os perturban también se mutilaran! La libertad y el amor

13 F or ye -- to freedom ye were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve ye one another,

Porque vosotros, hermanos, a libertad fuisteis llamados; sólo que no uséis la libertad como pretexto para la carne, sino servíos por amor los unos a los otros.

14 f or all the law in one word is fulfilled -- in this: `Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;'

Porque toda la ley en una palabra se cumple en el precepto: Amaras a tu projimo como a ti mismo.

15 a nd if one another ye do bite and devour, see -- that ye may not by one another be consumed.

Pero si os mordéis y os devoráis unos a otros, tened cuidado, no sea que os consumáis unos a otros. Conflicto entre el Espíritu y la carne

16 A nd I say: In the Spirit walk ye, and the desire of the flesh ye may not complete;

Digo, pues: Andad por el Espíritu, y no cumpliréis el deseo de la carne.

17 f or the flesh doth desire contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit contrary to the flesh, and these are opposed one to another, that the things that ye may will -- these ye may not do;

Porque el deseo de la carne es contra el Espíritu, y el del Espíritu es contra la carne, pues éstos se oponen el uno al otro, de manera que no podéis hacer lo que deseáis.

18 a nd if by the Spirit ye are led, ye are not under law.

Pero si sois guiados por el Espíritu, no estáis bajo la ley.

19 A nd manifest also are the works of the flesh, which are: Adultery, whoredom, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Ahora bien, las obras de la carne son evidentes, las cuales son: inmoralidad, impureza, sensualidad,

20 i dolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strifes, emulations, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects,

idolatría, hechicería, enemistades, pleitos, celos, enojos, rivalidades, disensiones, sectarismos,

21 e nvyings, murders, drunkennesses, revellings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things the reign of God shall not inherit.

envidias, borracheras, orgías y cosas semejantes, contra las cuales os advierto, como ya os lo he dicho antes, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el reino de Dios. El fruto del Espíritu en la conducta cristiana

22 A nd the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

Mas el fruto del Espíritu es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fidelidad,

23 m eekness, temperance: against such there is no law;

mansedumbre, dominio propio; contra tales cosas no hay ley.

24 a nd those who are Christ's, the flesh did crucify with the affections, and the desires;

Pues los que son de Cristo Jesús han crucificado la carne con sus pasiones y deseos.

25 i f we may live in the Spirit, in the Spirit also we may walk;

Si vivimos por el Espíritu, andemos también por el Espíritu.

26 l et us not become vain-glorious -- one another provoking, one another envying!

No nos hagamos vanagloriosos, provocándonos unos a otros, envidiándonos unos a otros.
