1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

2 ` Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and thou hast said to those prophesying from their own heart: Hear ye a word of Jehovah:

Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan, y di a los que profetizan por su propia inspiración: “Escuchad la palabra del Señor.

3 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing.

“Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘¡Ay de los profetas necios que siguen su propio espíritu y no han visto nada!

4 A s foxes in the wastes, Thy prophets, O Israel, have been.

‘Como zorras entre ruinas han sido tus profetas, oh Israel.

5 Y e have not gone up into breaches, Nor do ye make a fence for the house of Israel, To stand in battle in a day of Jehovah.

‘No habéis subido a las brechas, ni habéis levantado un muro alrededor de la casa de Israel, para que pueda resistir en la batalla en el día del Señor.

6 T hey have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying: An affirmation of Jehovah, And Jehovah hath not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word.

‘Han visto falsedad y adivinación mentirosa los que dicen: “El Señor declara ”, cuando el Señor no los ha enviado; no obstante, esperan el cumplimiento de su palabra.

7 A vain vision have ye not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When ye say: An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have not spoken?

‘¿No habéis visto una visión falsa y habéis hablado una adivinación mentirosa cuando decís: “El Señor declara”, y yo no he hablado ?’”

8 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: Por cuanto habéis hablado falsedad y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí, yo estoy contra vosotros —declara el Señor Dios.

9 A nd My hand hath been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah.

Y estará mi mano contra los profetas que ven visiones falsas y hablan adivinaciones mentirosas. No estarán en el consejo de mi pueblo, no serán inscritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni entrarán en la tierra de Israel; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Dios.

10 B ecause, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk.

Sí, porque han engañado a mi pueblo, diciendo: “¡Paz!”, cuando no hay paz. Y cuando alguien edifica un muro, he aquí, ellos lo recubren con cal;

11 S ay to those daubing with chalk -- It falleth, There hath been an overflowing shower, And ye, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind doth rend,

di, pues, a los que lo recubren con cal, que caerá; vendrá una lluvia torrencial y caeréis vosotras, piedras de granizo, y se desencadenará un viento huracanado.

12 A nd lo, fallen hath the wall! Doth not one say unto you, Where the daubing that ye daubed?

He aquí, cuando el muro haya caído, ¿no se os preguntará: “¿Dónde está la cal con que lo recubristeis?”

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury -- to consume.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: En mi enojo haré que un viento huracanado se desencadene; también por mi ira vendrá una lluvia torrencial y granizo para consumir lo con furor.

14 A nd I have broken down the wall that ye daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed hath been its foundation, And it hath fallen, And ye have been consumed in its midst, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

Así derribaré el muro que habéis recubierto con cal, lo echaré a tierra y quedará al descubierto su cimiento. Y cuando caiga, seréis destruidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.

15 A nd I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you: The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;

Desahogaré así mi furor contra el muro y contra los que lo han recubierto con cal, y os diré: “No existe el muro ni existen los que lo recubrieron,

16 T he prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

ni los profetas de Israel que profetizaban acerca de Jerusalén y que veían para ella visiones de paz cuando no había paz ” —declara el Señor Dios.

17 A nd thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them,

Y tú, hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan por su propia inspiración, profetiza contra ellas

18 A nd thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature -- to hunt souls, The souls do ye hunt of My people? And the souls ye have do ye keep alive?

y di: “Así dice el Señor Dios ”: ‘¡Ay de las que cosen cintas mágicas para todas las coyunturas de la mano y hacen velos para las cabezas de personas de toda talla con el fin de cazar almas! ¿Cazaréis las vidas de mi pueblo y preservaréis vuestras vidas ?

19 Y ea, ye pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people -- hearkening to lies.

‘Me habéis profanado ante mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, dando muerte a algunos que no debían morir y dejando con vida a otros que no debían vivir, mintiendo a mi pueblo que escucha la mentira.’”

20 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against your pillows, With which ye are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that ye are hunting, The souls of the flourishing.

Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: He aquí, yo estoy contra vuestras cintas mágicas con las que allí cazáis vidas como aves; las arrancaré de vuestros brazos y dejaré ir las vidas, las vidas que cazáis como aves.

21 A nd I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

También rasgaré vuestros velos y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestras manos, y no serán más presa en vuestras manos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.

22 B ecause of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

Porque habéis entristecido el corazón del justo con falsedad, cuando yo no lo he entristecido, y habéis fortalecido las manos del impío para que no se aparte de su mal camino a fin de preservar su vida,

23 T herefore, vanity ye do not see, And divination ye do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And ye have known that I Jehovah!'

por tanto, no veréis más visiones falsas ni practicaréis más la adivinación, y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
