1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

І було мені слово Господнє таке:

2 ` Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and thou hast said to those prophesying from their own heart: Hear ye a word of Jehovah:

Сину людський, пророкуй на Ізраїлевих пророків, що пророкують, і скажи пророкам, що провіщають із власного серця: Послухайте Господнього слова!

3 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing.

Так говорить Господь Бог: Горе на пророків безумних, що ходять за своїм духом та за тим, чого не бачили!

4 A s foxes in the wastes, Thy prophets, O Israel, have been.

Твої пророки, Ізраїлю, як ті лисиці в руїнах!

5 Y e have not gone up into breaches, Nor do ye make a fence for the house of Israel, To stand in battle in a day of Jehovah.

Не ввійшли ви в проломи, і не загородили загороди над Ізраїлевим домом, щоб стати на бій Господнього дня.

6 T hey have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying: An affirmation of Jehovah, And Jehovah hath not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word.

Вони бачать марноту та фальшиве чарування, говорячи: Говорить Господь, а Господь не посилав їх, та вони мають надію, що сповниться слово.

7 A vain vision have ye not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When ye say: An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have not spoken?

Хіба ж не марне видіння ви бачили, і не фальшиве чарування ви говорили? А ви кажете: Говорить Господь, а Я не говорив!

8 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Тому так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що ви говорите марноту, і бачите лжу, тому ось Я проти вас, говорить Господь Бог.

9 A nd My hand hath been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah.

І буде рука Моя проти пророків, що бачать марноту й чарують ілжею. Вони не будуть на раді народу Мого, і в перепису Ізраїлевого дому не будуть записані, і до землі Ізраїлевої не ввійдуть. І пізнаєте ви, що Я Господь Бог!

10 B ecause, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk.

Саме за те, що вони впровадили народ Мій у помилку, говорячи мир, а миру нема. І він будує мура, а вони тинкують його будьяким тинком.

11 S ay to those daubing with chalk -- It falleth, There hath been an overflowing shower, And ye, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind doth rend,

Скажи до тих, що тинкують будьяким тинком, що мур упаде. Буде дощ заливний, і ви, каміння великого граду, впадете, і вітер бурхливий розвалить мура.

12 A nd lo, fallen hath the wall! Doth not one say unto you, Where the daubing that ye daubed?

І ось стіна впаде. Чи ж не скажуть вам: Де той тинк, яким ви тинкували?

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury -- to consume.

Тому так говорить Господь Бог: Я вчиню, що бурхливий вітер валитиме в лютості Моїй, і буде дощ заливний в Моїм гніві, і каміння великого граду в лютості на вигублення.

14 A nd I have broken down the wall that ye daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed hath been its foundation, And it hath fallen, And ye have been consumed in its midst, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

І розіб'ю Я ту стіну, яку ви обтинкували будьяким тинком, і повалю її до землі, й оголиться підвалина її, і впаде, і ви загинете в середині його, Єрусалима, і пізнаєте, що Я Господь!

15 A nd I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you: The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;

І докінчу Я лютість Свою на стіні та на тих, що тинкують її якимбудь тинком, і скажу вам: Немає стіни та її тинкувальників,

16 T he prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Ізраїлевих пророків, що пророкували на Єрусалим і бачили для нього видіння миру, та немає миру, говорить Господь!

17 A nd thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them,

А ти, сину людський, зверни своє обличчя до дочок свого народу, що пророкують з власного серця, і пророкуй на них,

18 A nd thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature -- to hunt souls, The souls do ye hunt of My people? And the souls ye have do ye keep alive?

та й скажи: Так говорить Господь Бог: Горе тим, що шиють чародійні обв'язки на суглоби рук, і роблять хустки на голову всякого зросту, щоб ловити душі. Невже, ловлячи душі Мого народу, ви свої душі спасете?

19 Y ea, ye pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people -- hearkening to lies.

І ви безчестите Мене в Мого народу за жмені ячменю та за кришки хліба, забиваючи душі, що не повинні б умирати, та лишаючи при житті душі, що не повинні б жити, своїми обманами Моєму народові, що слухають лжу.

20 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I against your pillows, With which ye are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that ye are hunting, The souls of the flourishing.

Тому так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я проти ваших чародійних обв'язок, ув які ви ловите душі. І позриваю їх із ваших рамен, і повипускаю ті душі, ті душі, що ви ловите, щоб були вільні, як птахи.

21 A nd I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And ye have known that I Jehovah.

І позриваю ваші хустки, і врятую народ Свій з вашої руки, і не будуть вони вже в вашій руці за здобич, і пізнаєте ви, що Я Господь.

22 B ecause of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

За те, що ви лжею заподіяли біль серцю праведного, хоч Я не зробив йому болю, і за те, що ви зміцнюєте руки безбожного, щоб він не відвернувся від своєї злої дороги, щоб спасти його при житті,

23 T herefore, vanity ye do not see, And divination ye do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And ye have known that I Jehovah!'

тому більш не будете бачити марноти та не будете віщувати, і Я врятую народ Свій з вашої руки, і ви пізнаєте, що Я Господь!
